" .... "

I didn't answer but Orion kept talking.

"The first time I met Mira on mission, I knew right away that she was a genius among geniuses. At just twelve years old, she had embarked on a journey through Alcine, visited three of the five kingdoms and learned to fight better than most other bloodhounds. She is truly impressive. But you and Lyanna exude something even greater. It's scary and exciting at the same time. Have a look at these black dots around my seal. "

I looked at Orion's chest. He had the Almoran's seal: a circle with a four centimeter radius containing indecipherable runes.

"Each dot represents the class of an adept. Each time we pass a class, we become stronger. We can use more spiritual energy and other aspects of our myndo. I have had these three points for 8 years now, and since then I haven't been able to pass the third class."

His voice became slightly weak for a moment. He was frustrated and I could understand him.

"Sorry..."
"What are you sorry for you brat?" reacted Orion vehemently while having a smile on his face.
"Yes it was stupid of me..."
"Exactly, stupid brat....I have reached the limit that the Almoran has set for me. It's pretty frustrating but no matter how much  I train or fight. I am not progressing anymore. Of course I am strong, and good looking and interesting and..."

"........"

'Are you seriously doing that now ?'

"But I am a third class among many others. I won't be able to stand against a fourth class, let alone an apostle. The last time we fought, I couldn't last more than six minutes, that's pretty lame...You don't have a seal but I can safely say that you are a fourth class just like Lyanna and Mira. But don't be full of yourself, there are also many monsters among the inhabitants of Alcine even in our kingdom."

"The king's hearts?"
"Yes, the two apostles and most powerful warriors of Ruviel. You can't beat them even if you fight them a hundred times. So don't even try anything funny."

"I know." I said, playing with the water.
"And I also know that no matter what I say, you will move in the direction you choose.."

"....You're right."

"Jeez, so annoying. Unfortunately, I cann't no longer protect you ..So Rinne, get stronger, keep progressing and protect your sister. I will always  support you no matter which way you choose."

I listened to Orion's speech in silence. I didn't know if it was the bath but I felt a deep warmth inside me. It was pleasant.

"Five years hum...Everything I put in place during these years starts today. Thank you for supporting and accompanying us. I should also thank Mira for her help even though her cooking was horrible."
"Hahaha if she hears about that you're going to die, you know that right?"
"Haha let's keep it between men."
I replied not being able to contain a laugh.

"The serious stuff starts now."
I got up from the bath and caught an arrow in mid-air that was aimed at me. The tip was wet with a bluish liquid. 'Poison anh? Not a very friendly message.'
Orion walked to the door leading inside. He took a towel from the small table next to it and wrapped it around his waist before leaving. I enjoyed the bath for a few more minutes before leaving too.

After drying off and getting dressed, I joined my companions in the living room. It was decorated with the bare necessities: a brown sofa, a dining table and some plants here and there. Mira was brushing Lyanna's hair and Orion was standing next to them with his back to the wall, arms crossed over his chest. All three were already prepared.

("They moved faster than expected")
"A certain someone likes to draw attention." Mira replied and gave me a teasing look.

I feigned innocence like I didn't know who she was talking about.

"You've been working on something for six months now. Are you finally going to explain your plan?" she added, stretching her arms.
"Sorry but explaining would take too long, and my plan is only in its first stage. There are still many details to work out. But I think you will like it."

"Oh really ?"

"Yeah "
"Bet. Where are we going?"
"To the doctor?"
" ?"

Curious looks came over me at this answer but they quickly understood what I meant. We were in front of the Mad Dog. It was late and the bar had already closed its doors. Unlike the other bars that operated all night. The Mad Dog always closed at midnight. The street was deserted but we could still feel several spiritual energies inside the bar.

"The Mad Dog anh?" whispered Mira, who was already taking her weapon out of its sheath. Orion did the same.
"You can put them back. We probably won't need them. Besides, we're in the middle of the town, I'd rather not attract too much attention"

I gestured for them to lower their guard. Lyanna, still impassive, was quietly eating her favorite cookies while playing with a stray cat near the bar door. I opened the unlocked door and entered. I walked up to the counter and sat down.

"What will you have, dear customer? Strong liquor or a cocktail ?"
"Your bar is supposed to be closed Simons."
"Unfortunately, I have unexpected guests..."
"Well since you're offering so nicely, I'll take all your stock of blue and red lapys."
