When he left the magic practice room , it was already dark.
Summer was over and the days were getting shorter.
As he was about to make his way to the dormitory, Almark noticed a figure walking down the street, just as dimly lit as he was.
"Leila."
When Almark called out to her, Leila, who was walking toward him, frowned.
"We meet often,"
She said in a sarcastic tone.
'You don't have to call out to me every time you see me."
We were heading to the same destination, and even so, we ended up walking side by side.
I've been taking extra lessons with Teacher Yilmaz,"
Almark said.
'I could use the fog spell."
Almark wanted to tell someone how happy he was that he had been able to use magic, and he said so without caring if it was Leila.
"Yes."
Almark thought that Leila would probably answer in a uninterested manner, but surprisingly, she looked straight back into his eyes.
"I'm glad you're so happy. about it "
She unexpectedly and honestly said so.
“Thank you."
Almark also thanked her frankly.
Leila turned around and said as she strode forward.
I know that you used to train yourself in meditation every day," she said.
Her mouth was slightly open.
"After all that time, you should at least be able to use fog spell"
Almark was puzzled by Leila's unusually gentle tone, but he chuckled when he heard the words that immediately follows.
'As long as you do it after hours like that for make-up work, you won't cause me any trouble."
'Right.'
Almark nodded.
'But I' m not quite good enough yet.'
He showed his right hand to Leila as he said it. The skin is still soaked.
"My hand is soaking wet."
Leila looked at his hand, her eyes flicking from one to the other.
"You're imagining a mist coming directly from your hand, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am. That's what the teacher told me "
"imagine it coming out of the space just above the palm of hand,"
Leila said.
Once you got the magic out of the body, you don't have to keep concentrating on it, so you don't lose focus.
"It's just my advise ", she added.
"Of course what teacher said is right, but as you get used to it, you should look for a way of imagining that works for you. Don't neglect it just because it's magic you've learned to use, but always study it. That is the fastest way to get better at it ."
"I see."
Almark nodded in agreement.
"That's very helpful. Thank you."
It's very distracting to to meditate in a class on practical lessons .
Almark smiled again when he was told that.
"Leila, are you practicing swordplay today?"
"What?"
Leila looked at Almark with surprise.

"Why?"
'Because there is a martial arts area in the direction you are going . Am I wrong?"
'...... not it's different though."
'Practicing for a martial arts competition? As expected, when you do it, you do it. on your own "
She said bluntly.
"You seem to be good at s it "
Almark nodded.
"I have to thank you for teaching me how to use fog spell '.
At these words, Leila glanced at Almark again .
'Leila, you need to be a little more conscious and semi-conscious in your stance. The reason you lost to Wendy a few times in class before the vacations was because you were moving and before you knew it, you were facing right into your opponent."
Layla now clearly saw Almark's face.
"You were always practicing wir away from the other kids."
I can see you from a distance, if to look closely enough.
t I don't get it. With all the other kids in the room and all that noice . You usually can't notice ."
Leila shook her head. Her long, shiny hair shook.
"You've only been here a few months, but you notice too many things."
Leila looked at Almark with a mixture of disgust and envy.
"How far do you see? "
'How far ......?"
Almark stammered.
Leila stared at Almark's face for a moment, then finally said, "Enough,"and turned forward.
We're in the same group in the martial arts tournament, aren't we?
"Yes, we're on the same group . We're in the third group ."
"I still think it's a waste of time to have martial arts tournament here at the magic Academy, and I'd rather not attend it , if i had choice ."
Leila paused in her speech and looked at Almark with burning eyes.
She said in a strong tone, "I hate losing more then anything else .
"I see ."
Almark nodded.
I'm not going to lose, so you'd better make Nelson and the rest of the group win.
Leila looks forward.
"I don't ever want to see them so happy in front of me."
'Okay."
"You promise?'
"Yes."
Almark nodded again.
The lights of the dormitory were vaguely visible in the distance.
"Thank you, I'm feeling more motivated for the martial arts tournament ."
Hearing this, Leila laughed out loud.
Almark looked at her in surprise.
"Motivation is not something you get from someone else. It's something you have to get yourself ."
What she was saying was harsh, but somewhat pleasant.
(Practicing magic comes first.)
There was no way he could lose to an student of the same age in the swordplay .
Almark thought so, but when he looked into Leila's burning eyes, he felt a fire igniting inside him.
(Let's win as a united group.)
He honestly thought so.
