Zhao Yao looked at Arthas who collapsed on the floor with no sign of struggle. It was an odd sight given his terrifying capabilities in the dream.
“Things like superpowers are really not to be underestimated in any battle,” Zhao Yao thought. In reality, he could hang Arthas upside down and wallop him hard but in the dream there was not much he could do to counter Arthas’ attacks.
“And there’s Project X. The Project X in the dream is too terrifying…” A glint of wariness flashed across Zhao Yao’s eyes. “I need to find out the relationship between this dream and reality. If the Project X in Arthas’ dream is already so terrifying, does that mean that Project X would be equally terrifying if he was released in real life now?”
Sirens from police cars blared outside the manor. Zhao Yao’s ears twitched as he picked up the black man, Coco Wang, and Arthas from the floor. He leapt and fled the manor in a flash.
He casually ripped off the meteorite pendant on Arthas’ neck and melted it into his body.
This increased his completion rate of collecting meteorite fragments by 7%, increasing from 13% to 20%, earning himself some extra skill points.
At the same time, the mission to kidnap Arthas was completed successfully. Another 5000*2 experience points were awarded to him.
Zhao Yao gave a small smile. Next, he found a small, vacant villa where he threw the black man, Coco Wang and Arthas on the floor. Zhao Yao then lazed on the sofa as Elizabeth stared at Arthas and activated her powers of control on him.
Seeing how Arthas still had his eyes shut and his paws around his ears, Zhao Yao instructed, “Elizabeth, let him look at me.”
Arthas was forced to open his eyes and drop his paws as he stared at Zhao Yao.
When he saw Zhao Yao playing with the Dragon Slaying Saber in his hand, fear flashed in his eyes.
Zhao Yao played around with the saber as he said gleefully, “It’s the same question as before. Spill it out.”
Arthas felt hopeless. Was he really going to reveal his power?
However, he suddenly saw Zhao Yao’s hand slip while he was playing with the Dragon Slaying Saber and watched as the knife lightly pierced his own leg. His whole body started convulsing.
“This guy is so cruel! He even dares to stab himself? Is he threatening me?” Arthas trembled in fear as he watched Zhao Yao’s actions. He did not dare to hide the truth anymore as he said, “I’ll say it.”
Upon hearing that, the sheriff at the side nodded his head at Zhao Yao.
After they conversed for a while, Zhao Yao finally understood what Arthas’ superpower could do.
Arthas’ superpower was actually super mental strength.
This strength allowed Arthas to lift up a small car just by sensing his surroundings or even sense and manipulate some emotions. It was an all-encompassing ability though it did not have a deep impact.
It was only after he started wearing the meteorite fragment everyday that his mental strength started increasing. One day, he suddenly realized that his mental strength had already reached the point where it was strong enough to influence other people’s subconscious.
He went on to learn hypnosis. Through that, he was able to enter dreams to kill the opponent’s mental state, increasing his fighting power by leaps and bounds.
Zhao Yao asked, “How did you make people enter your dreams then?”
Arthas replied, “Hypnosis can be achieved through changes in sound, light, or verbal communication.”
The sheriff beside Zhao Yao immediately turned and said, “He’s hiding something. The most important thing is something called a dream dimension.”
Zhao Yao’s eyes flashed as he stared at Arthas and stabbed his tail with the knife.
…
Arthas opened his eyes and stared at the familiar ceiling. Tears flowed from his eyes in an instant.
A group of people in white coats gathered around him.

“Woah! It’s a familiar face!”
“Why are you here again? You didn’t get a clean job done the previous time?”
“Why are you still crying? Help him wipe away his tears.”
“Stop crying, you’re already a regular here. Don’t you know the pain gets worse when you cry and struggle?”
Arthas begged pitifully, “Spare me please. I can’t do this anymore.”
…
Zhao Yao saw Arthas’ body shaking in an instant before his eyes turned white and his four limbs started convulsing. He finally collapsed on the floor weakly, as if his soul had flown out of his body.
Zhao Yao lightly slapped Arthas’ face with the Dragon Slaying Saber before he said, “Enough, stop acting like you’re dead. I’m warning you, don’t talk shit to me. Answer me honestly when I ask you a question. Understand?”
Arthas immediately nodded his head.
Zhao Yao asked, “What method exactly did you use to make us enter the dream in the manor?”
Arthas sighed. He knew there was no way he could keep this secret today and had no choice but to spill the beans, “That’s the power of the Dream Dimension”.
“The Dream Dimension?”
After acquiring the ability to enter dreams, Arthas went on to learn various other related skills. He even took courses on physics, astronomy, sociology, and psychology in UC Berkeley.
At the same time, the meteorite fragment he wore continuously improved his mental strength, boosting his energy and brain.
Arthas’ abilities of controlling the subconsciousnesses and entering dreams increased at unprecedented rates with each day.
One day, he finally felt a unique existence in his mental state.
“Everything that we can see is the physical world. The whole universe, from the galaxy to a molecule, gravity, and even quarks, are all made of physical substances.”
“However, all that we can see in the universe, added together, only constitutes a small part of the whole universe. The space and things we can see are not even a tenth of what the whole universe actually contains.”
Arthas sighed. “It was on that fateful day, when I felt an energy that could not be detected through scientific means. After some research and experimenting, I called him the Dream Dimension.”
“Dream dimension?” Zhao Yao felt like he was becoming more and more confused. He continued to ask, “Why did you call him a dream dimension?”
Arthas explained, “Just like what I said earlier, the physical world that our lives could see in the past was merely a small part of the universe.
It’s as if we are blind, we can only see a very small part of the whole universe.
The Dream Dimension, however, is a different part of the universe which we have never seen before.”
Arthas become more excited as he talked about it. Maybe it was because he had kept his research to himself for so long so he felt joy in this sense of release as he poured it all out.
He continued, “However, the dream dimension and the physical world alone are still too little for us to explain the whole universe. There must be many other dimensions that have yet to be discovered. Adding up all these different dimensions will then truly constitute the whole universe.”
Zhao Yao massaged his temples as he stared at Arthas. He suddenly stabbed Arthas’s tail again. “Are you kidding me?”
Seeing Arthas convulse and collapse on the floor, Sheriff said exasperatedly, “Boss, according to the results of my mind reading abilities, he seems to be saying the truth. At least, it’s what he thinks to be the truth.”
“Ah?” Zhao Yao stared at Arthas, who seemed to have been sucked out of his soul yet again and patted his head saying, “Sorry about that. I thought you were pulling my leg? Continue talking about that… that…”
“Dream Dimension,” After saying that, Arthas sighed in his heart. “Uncultured…”
Sheriff whispered to Zhao Yao from the side, “Boss, he said you’re uncultured.”
