Elm liked to take her mind off the regret by thinking of the good news instead. From her memories, she knew that there would only be specific moments in which the Demon God would ever descend to any of the myriad worlds, clone or not.
And, Elm knew that out of all of the reasons, there was only one specific reason as to why that scum would descend onto this world, or more specifically, for whom she descended.
Elm opened her eyes, and smiled. A little light lit up her gray world.
Her brother was back. Willow, her oh-so-beautiful brother was back.
Feelings that were previously unknown to her sprouted in her heart. She put a hand over it and sighed. How could she have been so dull as to not understand the emotion of love? Yes, love that was not of the carnal sense but one that was of pure and good!
But, the Demon God.
Love turned into hatred. How she’d been cucked still ran strong in her mind.
That wouldn’t happen again. How would it? After all, if she ever manage to get her hands on Willow again, she would simply lock him up and never allow him to see the outside world full of danger again.
That way, she would be able to shower him with all the love she had, and he would be able to see how much she loved him.
Hatred turned into Love again.
Elm felt a stirring deep inside her core, and something arose within her pants. She entertained herself by thinking of the face her brother would make when she released tons of her love into his soul. . .until a tree had been thrown to her face.
BOOM!
Or, it would have sounded. In reality, Elm had sliced and diced the tree before it could even touch her without even lifting a finger. In that split second, Elm found something suspicious with the tree.
It was doused in such potent demonic energy, but then also with cursed energy, as if the one who had thrown it was a-
Wings akin to that of a dove, and a bat flapped about in the sky before her.
“A Nephalem.” Elm muttered, her voice laced with a little interest.
“So, you know of my existence.” A deep voice boomed from above her. “Indeed, it is I, the Nephalem, born of the conjunction between the Goddess of Light and the 7th Demon Lord.”
“I know of your existence as well, Celestial Hero, that of the brightest star.”
BOOM!
“How rude,” The Nephalem spoke, blocking the light spear Elm had thrown at him. “So much hostility for a simple greeting.”
Then, the Nehpalem continued to speak about how Elm had grown too strong, so the heavens had sent him to destroy her, and the rest was mostly mambo-jumbo that Elm couldn’t really care about. In her mind, the moment the Nephalem said that he was from heaven, Elm already categorized him as the same species as the Demon God.

But, a weaker version. Oh, Elm could feel that the Nephalem was strong, not to mention affiliated with both powers of the light and dark, of heaven and hell. But, in her eyes, all the Nehpalem was an Imperfect Angel.
Evil.
Elm’s eyes sharpened, not taking her eyes off the Imperfect Angel. It had noticed her as soon as she’d stepped into this Swamp, but it hadn’t attacked. Instead, it seemed to be observing her with those vacant white eyes. It’s disgusting half-black, half-white aura shone throughout the area, and people who couldn’t see past the illusion of beauty the Nephalem had casted upon himself, would see a man of divine beauty but to people with true sight, the Nephalem was more a force of energy than a human, and it’s true was absolutely disgusting, akin to the Swamp.
She heard it swallow a chunk of angel flesh, a wet disgusting sound that made her grimace.
“And so, the heavens have decreed your end, and the hells yearn for it, Brightest Star! And as the executioner of both, it is my duty to carry out their will!”
The Nephalem opened its mouth, revealing glistened blood-stained teeth. Hissing at Elm, he gathered the energy of the heaven, a light that didn’t pale too much even when compared to Elm’s own.
“Surprised?” The Nephalem asked. “While you may be touched, and blessed by the light,” The Nephalem snapped and immediately, spears of light formed behind him. “I was born from it.”
Elm just let out a sigh. How bothersome. Why were all of these insignificant creatures stopping her from simply trying to see her brother? Did they all revel in her misery?
If so, Elm would no longer hold back. She would show them exactly why, the Celestial Hero was feared more by the gods than the Demon God. Elm stepped over a monster corpse, and glanced over the Nephalem, analyzing him.
His true form was more of a blob with eyes, with a pair of wings: one side black, and the other side white. That meant he would be able to channel the energy of heaven, and the energy of the nine hells which basically meant that he had both powers of the light, and dark. Physically, the blob of a half-baked angel didn’t really seem much and Elm was confident she could overpower it by a significant margin.
Elm released her mental grip over her Holy Sword, and instead, formed a light sword, one that had been imbued with the power of chi, mana and prana. It’s form was a bloody red, almost akin to that of the sun.
“Heat?” The Nephalem chuckled, flapping it’s wings. “That won’t do more than leave a mere tinge on my skin.”
“I grow tired of waiting, brightest star. If you’re not going to attack first. . . .I will.”
In an instant, spears of light appeared before Elm’s eyes at a speed that would have blitzed even a well-trained prana user, but to her who was the embodiment of light, it was much, much too slow. Instead of simply dodging it, Elm placed her will upon the light and the spears turned into energy, absorbed by Elm’s body as they touched her.
“Well, it appears nothing will come forth if we both use the light,” The Nephalem smiled, showing it’s disgusting bloody fangs. This time, it’s dark wings flapped, as ball of dark energy formed before him. Crushing it in his hands, he scattered the energy over the Swamp, and the ground shook
Elm sensed something coming from below her, and so, before the thing underground could appear, she made the quick decision of sacrificing her sun-hot light sword, and thrusted it entirely into the ground, accurately attacking whatever creature was under her, pinning it under the ground.
“That was just a distraction~”
BAM!
Before Elm could even process what was going on, she felt her ribs break as the Nephalem had hit her with something of considerable weight. Thinking quick, she summoned forth the energy of chi, and healed her wound as much as she could, before sensing something coming at her, aiming directly to her face.
