Chapter 1: Prologue

I’m a nobody.

An average person with average appearance, born in an average family, working at an average company.

I’m living a life that couldn’t be more ordinary.

Perhaps because of that, I’m entertaining the thought of becoming a NEET; playing games, watching anime, eating food, doing whatever I like until my inevitable end.

But unfortunately, I’m far too grateful for my parents to do that. Hence, I always found myself pulling out my tired body in the morning to catch the bus.

Starting another uneventful tiring day.

It just that, something terribly went wrong for some unknown reason.

To think that the dull life that felt like eternity, would actually end in a rather disturbing manner.

My colleagues invited me to drink with them. As a social animal, I naturally agreed but went beyond my usual.

Thanks to that, I found myself attracting unwarranted attention along the way from a bunch of strangers.

I did say I’m drunk but not to the point of being senseless.

I can’t clearly remember what their saying that day. But I know that it’s definitely not something good.

All I can remember at that day was darkness… Encroaching darkness intertwining my limbs… Which violently tore my body apart.

Strangely, that alone was the only thing I could vividly remember.

The sharp and bone chilling pain that made me roar out of pure hatred and despair.

I can’t understand.

How can someone like me, harbor such hatred?

Was it because of pain? Or was it about something else?

Why did something like that happened to me?

I have never done anything that could warrant such thing.

So why are you… Why are you smiling?
 
Does it bring you pleasure seeing my expression distorted from pain?

Are you glad seeing my body in half?

Are you… truly aware of the consequences?
