- It's fine Amit. When we talk the time passes faster.
Rishi smiled a bit, and after a moment of pause asked again:
- So... What's your coolest skill?
- Well... I can for example do this - and I summoned all eight shadows. - They will now pull the carts for us, so just let them.
We stopped for a moment, at shadows took over the pulling.
- That's useful - said Amit, nodding.
- How many can you summon? - Rishi asked immediately after.
- As many as you can see.
- That's so cool. I've been talking with my father and if it's possible we nat to make golems. You know, like in fantasy games.
He was getting more and more excited.
- I guess you really wanted to get your first classes, didn't you?
- Yes, I did, but father said no, and I didn't want to make him upset. We've been talking about this over and over again, but that was it. Only talks. But since you guys are soo good at this, he finally agreed. Although mister William had to really convince him. He didn't want to let me go to that werewolf lair. He said to take it slowly and go with goblins at first.
- Unfortunately, that can't be done. - said Amit. - We are limited with access to the goblin cave, but Peter is apparently more than we need to hunt that werewolf.
- Yeah... About that... The killing part might be a bit tricky. I can tire him down, I can beat him up, but you need to finish, and I'm not so sure you will be able to deliver that last blow.
- That's why we are starting with bears - Amit pointed out. - We already talked it through yesterday. If the kid can't kill the werewolf, you will do it, Peter. But if he can, he is on the receiving point.
- Works for me.
We kept walking and talking. Rishi had many more questions about the whole hunting process. About how to fight with different types of enemies, and especially about what equipment I'm using, or did in the past.
He was interested very much in weaponry and always kept mentioning those golems. Sometimes even magical equipment was mentioned by him. He really wanted to start creating those things you could get in every single RPG game.
That's how we got all the way to the wolf hunting ground. Currently occupied by
Blue and his men. As soon as they saw us, he was informed and even made the effort to come to us.
- Hi Peter, Amit, and I believe... Rishi?
- Yes, that's me - the boy answered with a smile.
Happy to be recognized by somebody this famous as asshole Blue.
- We are just passing. Don't mind us. We won't take your crystals - I said.
- That's not why I came here. I wanted to ask you where are you going? To the new hunting ground, you discovered? With that boy? That's... risky... By the way, interesting creatures you have here...
He even pointed at the shadows.
- What we do is our business. You stick to yours - was my answer.
I completely ignored his words about my summons.
He sighed.
- What about the information on the newly discovered hunting grounds? I have to insist that you share those.
- Go talk with Hatta about that. We are on our way, and if we want to get there on schedule, we need to go. So have a nice hunt, and get lost.
He smiled at me, but I could tell he was angry. That was something new for me as he usually was excellent at hiding his emotions.
We passed by him and continued our march.
- Nice - said Amit, when we finally got far enough to not be heard by him.
- I thought he is gonna fight you - said Rishi.
- He can't. He would lose. Even with his men around it's too risky, and he is a very careful, and meticulous man. He doesn't take unnecessary risks. Keep that in mind if you ever have to deal with him.
- If you have to deal with him, then I advise you don't - said Amit, and allowed himself to smile lightly.
- Oh, I know all about him. I keep track of what's going on in the city - said Rishi.
- I don't doubt that, but... Blue is dangerous. He is the only man I would give the benefit of the doubt about the ability to kill us all. Even Peter.
- I would do the same. Unfortunately... - I quickly agreed.
Rishi seemed to understand what we were trying to tell him between the lines and just nodded.
Then I changed the subject back to equipment, magic items, and golems. He seemed to enjoy that. This way we made it all the way to the edge of wolf territory. Maybe even we managed to enter the bear area.
It was dark by then, and we were walking while holding the torches in our hands, to light up the path. That was enough distance so I told them to stop, and set up our camp for the night. Amit was a bit upset I believe since he probably wanted to do it sooner, but since I was in charge of the operation, he didn't say a thing.
We ate some food. I released the shadows and set up the barriers around, and we called it a day. Rishi couldn't fell asleep though, and I ended up keeping him company, talking about stars in the sky. We started to compare them with our knowledge about the constellation back on earth. That's how the conversation drifted away from astronomy to our home. The earth.
The day came to an end with 3 211 521 points remaining on my account.
