- So... What are you gonna do now? - Nadia asked, lying next to me, in her bed.
- I have few things on my mind.
- Like?
- Spending some more time with you... And eventually going hunting.
- To the canyon? Didn't Will, and the rest go there? Are you going to join them?
- No. I found a bit better spot.
- Peter... I've been thinking, and... I don't want to put too much pressure on you, but...
- Just say it.
- Let's get a house. I know you already have one, but I think we should buy one closer to the city center. I've been saving some crystals, but it's not much...
- Fine - I turned to her and smiled. - Let's buy a house. Just not now. A bit later, ok?
She nodded while returning my smile.
- You had different plans, didn't you?
- Yes.
- We can put it away, just... Hard to live here, with all those men. If they didn't know we are together then...
- If anybody lies a finger on you, I'm gonna kill them all.
She looked at me and smiled yet again. Then kissed me, and climbed on top putting her round breasts on a full display. I believe you have an idea of what happened next.
We took a bath later, together, and then went to eat in the cafeteria. The place was crowded, as usual, filled with soldiers. Nobody I was close with though. Of course except for Nadia. She had some work to do, so she left me after.
I had a lot of time to spend, and nothing really to do. It was hard to put my time to use during such days. I always was busy with hunting, so I didn't know what else to do when I had nothing to do. I could go to Hatta, but I had enough of his, and Amit's face for the whole week.
I missed Will a bit. I could always talk with him when he was around, but this time he wasn't. As the rest of my little gang. So I found myself just walking around, looking for things to do, and as I did a rooster crowed. I immediately followed that noise.
On top of a building belonging to Wuxia was standing Tam, and a woman yelled at it.
- Come down! Yous stupid chicken, come down!
He was now a fully grown rooster with feathers as black as tar.
- That's my chicken - I said to her.
She jumped as my voice scared her. She was a short blonde, but I no longer remember her name.
- I... I...
- Nadia told you to take care of him since she is busy?
- Y-yes.
- Well... Tam belongs to me, so I'll be taking care of him from now on. You can go.
She nodded, a bit afraid of me, and just marched away, almost running.
- Tam. Come down - I told to the rooster, and he jumped down, utilizing his wings to glide.
After he landed, he came to me, and scanned me with one of his eyes, twisting his head to the side.
- How have you been?
- Cookoo... bawk!
- I guess that means fine. Come, I'll get you some food.
I headed back to the city canter, and he followed me. Then I bought some grain and fed it to him while sitting on a piece of rubble. He was eating in silence, picking the seeds from the ground.
- I wish I could understand you, but I guess you aren't using any language since my linguist class is not picking up anything.
- Bawk!
- I guess that's a yes.
- Bawk!
- So you can understand me, but I have no idea what you are saying. Yes?
- Bawk!
- Cool. Want to hang around with me more from now on?
- Bawk!
I let out a chuckle as I found this conversation very funny. If somebody was watching me then, they probably thought I went crazy, talking with an animal. A real animal, that wasn't trying to kill anybody. It was a very unusual view in this world.
We hanged around more, walking and talking. Well... I was talking the most, he just answered to the best of his limited ability. Eventually, I stumbled upon Jayadeva. Partially because I wanted, and partially because of good luck.
He wasn't happy when he saw me.
- What do you want? To kidnap my son again? Leave us alone.
I sighed.
- I wanted to apologize. I know my words mean shit to you, but I really am sorry about what we did. It had to be done though. We need your's, and your son's help.
- You risked my son's life!
- Dad! - Rishi yelled from the inside of their workshop.
Soon after he showed up, coming outside.
- We agreed to this! I know you are upset, but it's all in the past, and we should try to gain from this situation, not fight.
- You know nothing son! They are barbarians! They don't care about anything else, and just do whatever they want! - And he stormed inside, passing by his son.
- I'm sorry. He needs time.
- I know, and I'm also sorry. I know it was hard for you, and I feel bad. But... I would do it again, and again, and again...
- I know. Mister Amit explained to me very well how the situation looks. You will get your equipment.
- Any progress with the classes?
- No. We will be talking with a lady tonight. She knows a lot and maybe will be able to help. I don't want to waste the points.
- Take your time. Both you and your father.
- Thank you mister Peter.
- Drop the mister.
He nodded with a smile.
- Nice chicken - he pointed at Tam.
- Indeed. His name is Tam.
- Bawk!
Rishi laughed.
- I'll live you two alone now... Again, I'm sorry.
- It's fine mr... Peter.
I left them and walked around some more. Talked with Tam, and tried to stumble upon Nadia. I succeded later in the evening, and we both returned to her room.
The day came to an end with 7 744 971 points remaining on my account.
