- So, are you gonna be on the show? - Wolf asked me, as we left the down, heading towards the airport.
I really didn't want to talk, and just did my best to avoid it by looking through the window at the landscape.
- No.
- Why not? I bet you would get popular.
- I don't care bout stuff kile that.
- Yeah, sure... Everybody cares. You never wanted to be a rockstar? Movie actor, or famous sportsman?
- No.
- What's wrong with you?
- Can you fuck off?
He shook his head.
- You have to like something. What's your hobby? Or favorite music?
I sighed.
- Lately, I've been enjoying writing, and my favorite music, if you really have to know, is metal.
- Writing? Really?
- What's wrong with writing?
- Nothing. Absolutely nothing. You just don't strike me as the type that would write. Metal on the other hand... That fits you perfectly.
- Fits me? Why?
- Because you can summon an army of scary human-looking things, whatever they are, and are threatening people left and right.
- Wow. That's your definition of a person who listens to metal? - I turned from the window, to look at him.
- No. I'm just saying it fits you.
I just shook my head and turned back to face the window.
- What about your favorite movie?
- I don't have a favorite movie.
- Favorite actor? Actress?
- Can you stop? Please.
- Ok, fine, I'll stop...
There was an awkward moment of silence between us, and then Wolf started talking with Vikram. I just stared through the window when they shared their thought on some TV show that was popular nowadays.
We arrived at the airport eventually, and fortunately for me, the agents took care of all the formalities. I'm saying fortunately because I actually never flew an airplane before, so I had no idea where to go, and what to do.
It took them a moment, and they dragged us throughout the whole airport, but finally, we said goodbyes to the assistants and boarded the jet.
The interior was nice. Had four tables, and each of them had a nice couch, that could actually turn into a semi bed. We were greeted by two stewardesses Janet and Katrina.
They both were hot and wore nice blue uniforms with lovely hats with eagle pins on them. One was a brunette the other was a blonde, and I noticed that our agents were ogling them almost on any occasion.
We sat down at random spots. I picked one in front of Aisha. Will sat on the opposite side, and both agents joined him.
The plane departed shortly after the pilots introduced themselves shortly, and after we reached the right altitude the stewardesses showed again.
- Are you hungry, would you like to eat something? - Janet asked us both, leaning a bit forward over the table.
- Yes - said Aisha. - Do you have any fish? I would like to eat some fish.
- We have smoked salmon. I could also prepare a tuna salad.
- I'll take the salmon, with some broccoli, if you have.
- We do. And you mister?
- Anything is good, and call me Peter - I replied.
She smiled at me.
- Then two smoked salmons it is - with that, she left.
- Holy smokes... This is amazing - said Aisha after a moment. - I've never even dreamed of flying a private jet.
- And here we are.
- Yes, and here we are... I'm gonna see Jason King, and who knows who else. I'm gonna sleep in a five-star hotel room. This is amazing, Peter.
- Is it really that exciting for you? The King guy, the plane, and the hotel?
- No - for a moment she became completely serious with me. - What really is exciting is the fact that I'm returning home. Something I've never expected to happen, and it actually would never happen if not for your efforts, so thank you, Peter.
- Everybody had their part in this.
- No. You did it - she argued.
- I really meant it, Aisha. Everybody had their part in this. If not for you, the city would go nuts. If not for you, the things with India wouldn't resolve so smoothly. Jayadeva, Hatta, Will... You all did this. I'm not good with people, and I could never do what you did. We all har our parts in this, and we fulfilled them.
She nodded and smiled slightly.
- Maybe you are right.
I peaked at the agents, after realizing they might be eavesdropping, but they were actually hushedly talking with Will. When I saw it, I used my eyes to point that out to Aisha. She noticed, and also peaked their way.
At the same time, they realized we were not talking among ourselves, so they also stopped their conversation.
- How is the flight so far? - asked Wolf out of the blue.
- Good - Aisha responded. - Very... Luxurious.
- If you need anything, just let the stewardess know, and you will get what you want.
Aisha smiled at him and then turned to me. I immediately knew that we have a problem.
- So, with whom did you live Tam? Or Did you put him with all the luggage? - she asked.
- I left him with Jayadeva. He owed me one.
- He is a busy person. Do you think it was a good idea? Wouldn't Hatta be a better pick? Or girls in Velvet Lotus? They already took care of him on several occasions.
- Maybe, but I just went with him.
She nodded, and then Janet returned pushing a cart without food. We got the same thing. Piece of smoked salmon with some steamed broccoli. This kinda saved us from having to go with the pointless conversation, when we clearly knew that something was going wrong with Will.
I used some shadow essence to write "We need to find out what is going on with Will and those two fuckers" on her plate. I had to do it word by word, to make sure nobody else would notice. She nodded slightly.
After we finished the food, she went to sit with them, since I informed her I'm gonna take a nap. It was a lie, but I just couldn't tell her what I was going to do, since they were listening.. My plan was to use 'Eyes of the Void' to monitor them.
