This day was quite eventful, although I had no idea when it started. I took the shower, just like usual, and then just shadow walked to the city center to get some free food in the cafeteria. There I found KI'rai, and Tihana surrounded by American soldiers, all eating. Even freaking Zander was there. He immediately rushed towards me.
- It was not my idea - he said.
The way he spoke those words made me believe him. The guy was genuinely scared.
- What the hell is going on? - I asked.
- Tihana came to the soldiers yesterday and asked them to help her convince you to take us all hunting. So you can show everybody the dangers of this place. I think she found out that you went hunting with Indians before.
I moved slightly to the side, to peak from behind him at her. She waved.
"That little brat", I thought to myself.
- You know what? I'll do it - I said to him.
- W-what? - he was genuinely surprised. - Are you serious?
- Yes. Why not? It will be fun - I smiled and slapped him gently on the shoulder, then I went to get my breakfast.
I ate it rather quickly, away from the group, but I joined them as soon as I filled my stomach.
- Good morning everybody - I said, shooting daggers with my eyes at Tihana.
She answered with the most annoying smile I ever saw. Ok, maybe not, but definitely top five.
- Good morning - replied colonel Adam Harris, and extended a hand, which I shook politely.
His soldiers followed one by one and said their greetings.
- I want to hunt, Peter - said Ki'rai not bothering herself with human curiosities.
- Ok. Sure. How about we meet outside, and I'll take you to one of my old hunting grounds? Sounds fun, right?
- Right - said Ki'rai.
She really was excited. Maybe because it was our little reunion, or maybe it was because hunting with Xuzards was too easy for her.
- Sounds good - said Adam. - Guys, let's go.
His men followed the order immediately, standing up, and taking care of the bowls. They left us, but Zander remained.
Both me and him, we waited patiently for Tihana to finish her food, since KI'rai was already done. Then we left as four. We reunited with the rest after a while, since they needed to grab their equipment.
Most had swords, shields, and breastplates. Carrying them on their backs, or by the belt. Few large axes and spears. There were even three with bows.
- So where are we going? Wast? East? - asked the colonel.
- Nowhere. Just grab your hands - I said and touched Zander's shoulder since he was the closest.
They followed my order, looking at each other, and I shadow walked the whole group to the giants' territory.
That really surprised them. One guy even said 'Cool'. Their expression quickly changed though, as they saw grants roaming in the distance.
I got few steps closer to the dungeon entrance, then turned around to face the group.
- If you have no idea what to do, don't do shit. Stay together, and watch. Those who know will take care of the rest.
Ki'rai smiled viciously and pulled her knife out.
- Ok - said Adam. - I guess we are here just to watch.
He was still in shock caused by the unexpected teleportation, but he was dealing with it pretty well. Zander on the other hand seemed scared, just like Tihana.
I smiled at them and pulled my pudao from the vault. The new one. As electrical discharges jumped from the weapon to my hand I turned around and started walking towards the monsters. Ki'rai overtook me, running there on all four.
I started by activating 'Eyes of the Void' to 'see' the reactions of what I was gonna do next, and that was a 'Shadow fusion'. The foid essence burst out of my body in a cloud of smoke, that quickly disappeared, as a wall of raging blackness surrounded us all on the edge of the horizon, and more of the essence started to slip through the ground, stirred by the winds.
My body transformed too. And a bit of smoke started coming off, as I walked further and further.
Nobody said anything as they all were in awe of what just happened. A bit scared too. Some more than a bit.
I stopped, extended my left hand, and pointed at the giants, just at Ki'rai engaged in a fight with one of them, leaping at his leg, and quickly climbing on top of the monster, displaying her incredible dexterity. He tried to grab her, but she was too fast, dancing on his shoulders, acting and stabbing the head.
I started summoning shadow fiends from behind the group of humans. They crawled out of the ground unseen by them and then charged at the enemies like a herd of wild horses. Grunting and growling, as they pressed on at full speed, passing next to humans, by centimeters.
I heard Tihana screaming, and noticed as they gathered up closer, to avoid the charging creatures.
The first giant turned to dust, as Ki'rai killed it, but more was about to attack her while she was falling down. They didn't though, as my army attacked.
Fiends leaped at the monsters, taking advantage of their numbers. Biting scratching, making them collapse. The horde was too big and quickly dealt with a much smaller number of the giants. Then they gathered all the stones and brought them to me.
I threw them in the vault using 'Telekinesis', then turned to face the group.
- Come, there is much to kill. It will be fun! - I shouted.
- He is crazy - said Tihana, thinking I couldn't hear her.
She was right, but I could feel her lips moving, and the vibrations escaping from her mouth.
- We are gonna die here - said Zander.
Colloned ignored them both.
- Advance - he said to his soldiers, and they did.
Since the troops started walking, the cowards didn't have much choice and followed.. That's how we all made it to the entrance.
