The next twenty-three days were kinda boring in terms of action. I focused on work, and spending time with both Tihana and miss Petel.
I did some hunting with the first one since soon goblins were supposed to be reserved for the medical personnel training, and I wanted to make use of the hunting ground before that. Mainly so she would get more experience of real fights.
With Sudarshana, I focused on the translation of the alien literature. She helped me a little bit, and also learned few things. For example, she memorized the whole Kashram, the Bahumdabars' alphabet. She also learned few words in their language and Uhms'.
We also tested how durable my bed was.
On the last day, out of the blue, they showed up. A bunch of people from all around the world, packed with stuff. The people who were supposed to learn magic in Arc.
I was in the middle of teaching Tihana, Dustin, and Rishi how to do feints during battle, without being too obvious. All four of us were down in the sandpit, when suddenly a bunch of people walked beside us, straight to the main building.
Probably to Will, since he was warking, and that's why I was taking care of his son.
- Who are they? - asked Dustin. - Uncle Peter, who are they?
He had to repeat himself since I was in the middle of showing some moves to my fake daughter.
- What? - I turned in the direction he was pointing in.
There were around fifty of them. Every skin color that Earth had to offer in both female and male versions.
- I think they are medical personnel that was supposed to arrive - I explained.
- Will they be hunting like the soldiers? - he asked.
- Yep. They will be learning healing magic. The first group of many more, to help with emergency situations.
- Cool - said Tihana, as she was observing them passing by us.
Some people waved to her, and she waved back, so I used this opening to smack her on the butt with the quarterstaff, I was using.
- Au! - she shouted. - You asshole.
- How dare you speak like that to your father!
- You just hit me!
- I did that because you showed an opening. Do you think goblins will wait, for you to wave at some strangers?
Pissed, she attacked me, but I avoided all she threw at me and tripped her, so she landed on the sand.
- You are too obvious.
She hit the ground, even more angry, picked herself up, and walked off to sit down on the stands around the sandpit.
He picked up the staff left by Tihana and assumed a battle stance. We sparred for few minutes, with a couple of breaks so I could explain to him how to fix his stance, or how to do things properly. He was catching up really quickly, and also his body was way stronger, and durable than Tihana's. Probably thanks to all the upgrades sponsored by mostly me.
I also used this opportunity to finally ask him to make my new set of clothes, since I really needed one, and always forgot to make a request, since there was always something going on around me. I really didn't need it, because It wasn't like he could make something sturdier than my own body anyway, but always getting a new set of clothes became annoying.
He agreed to get me something, and then we spared some more until some guy didn't interrupt us.
He was tall and handsome, with blonde, short curly hair, and a white shirt. She was kinda jacked underneath that.
- Hi! - he shouted from above. - I'm Nick. I'm new here. The magical healthcare initiative, or something like that...
- Hi, nick! - shouted Tihana.
- Hi! - said Dustin.
- I see you are teaching kids how to fight. Are you a hunter? - he asked me, after waving to everybody who greeted him.
- Yep. Peter...
- Cool. Are you some kind of instructor? William told us we need training before they will allow us to go into the woods.
- No. I'm not. There are other people who take care of that. You should talk with an older woman, we call her Battle Grandma here, but her real name is Nadzieja. She handles a lot of training. There are also others.
- Ok. Thanks for that... Do you mind if I stay and watch you?
I shrugged my shoulders and looked at the others. Rishi did the same thing as me.
- Come on, sit - said Tihana.
It became Dustin's turn, and Nick watched me as I went through multiple different feints, and walked the kid through each of them. He had some trouble with following my directions since his body was untrained, and he lacked experience, but he was doing his best.
Then I showed him how to read his opponents through their footwork, and the distribution of weight. What moves he could anticipate from different stances, and other similar stuff. This was harder for him to get a grasp on, but we build some fundamentals. It took around an hour, and after that our training was over.
Nick watched it all and even asked few questions himself. He was making an impression of a very diligent guy. Not to mention those questions were actually quite helpful for the kids as well, as they allowed me to go deeper into some things, and explain them better.
I shook the guy's hand at the end, and then I took the boy to his dad. Meanwhile, both teenagers left on a date. Since I didn't really trust them too much, I did a bit of spying in a crow form, but after making sure they are keeping their hands to themselves, I went to visit Sudarshana.
We ended up in my place, working a little bit on translation, and then we had some fun.
This period of time came to an end with 24 345 260 points remaining on my account, and 21 class points.
