The day started slowly, just like any other would. I got used to making breakfast for Surdashana and then taking her to work, but since her work right now was mainly the translation project with me, she was free.
On the other hand, I wasn't, since I had Tihana to watch. So I just made the food, wrote her a short note of where I'm going, and then shadow walked to the city center.
The sun was high up in the sky, with only a few white, puffy clouds slowly drifting through it. The hunters were already gone hunting, but there was a small group of people preparing the equipment for shooting. They clearly wanted to have the device in the background. I noticed few members of Wuxia, watching over them.
They didn't notice me popping out of nowhere, and looking around, because they were too focused on work.
There was no trace of Tihana around, so I decided to walk towards Boris's place. We met in the alleys since she was actually on her way to the city center with Tam in her arms.
She was wearing shorts with black knee-high socks, a white T-shirt, a shirt wrapped around her waist, and a dark beanie on her head.
- Morning dad - she said, as she stopped. - Why I'm not surprised you are here...
- I just came to hang around with you. Is it bad?
She snorted.
- Yeah, hand around. You came to watch me.
I ignored her words.
- So, did you already have breakfast? - I asked.
- Yes, I did - she said and resumed walking.
I joined here, and we headed together towards the filming spot.
- Did you brought miss Patel with you? - she asked.
- No. She is sleeping, and since it's her free day, I didn't want to wake her up.
- You should have stayed with her.
- And then who would watch over you?
- I don't need to be watched - she informed me and accelerated a bit.
I sighed and just followed her not changing my pace.
When we arrived there were even more people around. The stars were getting prepared for the shoot. The microphones were being installed on their bodies, and final fixes to the makeup, and hair was being done.
A small crowd of hunters which didn't go into the wilderness was gathered at a distance. None of them were people I knew very well.
Tihana stopped at a distance. I joined her, and we both watched as the last preparations got finished and the shoot started. Since they were talking loudly in Korean I did my best to ignore the conversations, since I didn't want my skill to pick up the language.
I had a trick that I came up with on my trip to India with my mother. It was simple, jet very effective. I was just filing my ears with void essence, and that completely blocked any sound.
They started with some monologue. A taller guy with the glasses, looking quite neat did that part. He had elegant blue pants and a white shirt. Since they were laughing, he had to be joking around. This gave me an opportunity to finally have a look at the members of the show.
Except that there was a younger, muscular guy in a T-shirt and shorts. An older man with a very serious appearance and attire, although he was acting just like the others, laughing, sometimes even pointing with his hands. Two young guys that actually were twins in regular clothes. T-shirts and jeans. Finally a dude clearly in his forties dressed like a teen skater.
There were also two girls. Both are very beautiful. One seemed a bit younger, with longer curly hair, tied up into a ponytail. She was wearing a dress with a flower pattern. The other was a bit shorter and had darker hair. More or less in the same length, but just set free. Her clothes were a bit simpler. Baggy jeans and a simple shirt.
Suddenly the host pointed to the side, and from the headquarters of Wuxia came running eight incredibly pretty, young girls. The members of the famous group - Sparkle. They all had similar dresses on, yellow and black.
The cameramen filmed them rushing towards the rest of the group, and then they started to greet each other, bowing politely and speaking a lot, but I couldn't hear that at all. I only saw lips moving. They all seemed to be happy since there was a lot of laughing and smiling.
I looked at Tihana to see her reaction, and she was very focused on watching while biting her lower lip. Tam on the other hand couldn't care less, he tried to have a look at what was on the ground, but couldn't. It was kinda funny as he kept twisting his head. After a few seconds, I realized that he might be hungry, so I left my fake daughter, to quickly use one of the access points, and get him some grain.
I also got myself a can of soda.
I could be away for maybe five minutes maximum, but when I returned, Tihana just wasn't there. I quickly looked around, but I couldn't spot her, so I removed my earplugs, to be able to hear since my initial instinct was to call her. There was a lot of noise coming from the shoot, but I ignored that since she wasn't there. That was actually the first place where I looked.
- Shit - escaped my mouth.
After another quick glance around, I just showed the handful of grain, and can into my vault, then rushed towards an alley to transform into a crow and have a look around. She just had to be somewhere close. Normally I would just shout for her, but I didn't want to disrupt the filming, so I didn't.
If I only knew that she would actually predict that...
I didn't spot anything from aboveground, taking one circle, then another. She definitely wasn't in the city center, so I started looking a bit further, and further. Just to realize it's impossible that she would get so far, so I decided to return.
