The fight started. Andy and Mai rose thair hands mumbling some words under their breaths. For the girl, about ow nowhere a large creature, in a size of a human, appeared. It was made of wood and bark. Had large arms, reaching all the way to the ground, shorter legs, and a small head, with an angry expression.
For the guy water splashed on the sand, forming a humanoidal creature, with the lower body of a swirling liquid. It had hands, head, and even hair made of water foam.
Both creatures rushed forward, but the others were quicker. Urho managed to do maybe two steps, before the pain brought him to his knees, as his body transformed. The bone snapped out of their sockets, his back swelled, and hair grew out of the naked skin, covering the tattoos. His face prolonged, forming a bear head.
Mbeki ignored the morning, as he rushed past the werebear, and clashed with Lorenzo.. He dodged the maul, ducking, and jumping into a roll. He picked himself up in an instant and trusted with all his strength, but the weapon hit the barrier, created by Valentin, who was looking quite bored, even with all the craziness going on in the arena.
Spearmen, retreated, with a swift jump. Not because of his opponent, but rather because of Urho who was already charging at Lorenzo. He didn't seem to be too concerned though, and it became obvious why, as a fireball flew through the air, and hit the beast directly, covering it in flames.
If they thought such an attack would be enough to stop a werebear, they were wrong. The monster emerged covered in flames, still charging and whiling so loud that the mages had to cover their ears, just as the two summons clashed with one another.
The tree slammed the water elemental, with a strong hit, but it just went through the liquid body, which enveloped itself around the opponent. It was useless though, as the other summon wasn't really breathing.
Meanwhile, Urho slammed into Lorenzo, sending him in the air, despite the barrier that was around him. It shattered under the assault from the beast. This woked up Valentin a bit, as he spread his arms to create more fireballs. Flames started swirling around him in few points, and then bombarded the werebear position, forcing both Mbeki and the fighter from the Hungarian gate, to run away.
If the mage thought it would work, on Urho, he was mistaken, as he emerged from the cloud of fire on all fours, charging straight at him. Whaling deafeningly.
Kagiso used the moment, where the attention of everybody was focused on the beast, and attacked Lorenzo, sadly unsuccessfully, as the warrior managed to parry when the spear barely reached his armor.
He wasn't the only one using this opportunity. Andy understood that his water elemental will have a problem with the other summon, and started closing the distance towards Mai. She noticed his movement and summoned more monsters. This time small, maybe thirty centimeters tall, stick dolls, that rushed towards her opponent. It was around fifteen of them, but they didn't seem like a huge threat.
Andy, though, wasn't taking any risks, he extended the hand with the staff, and send few bolts of water at the monsters, destroying a couple of them. He kept shooting until all were torn to pieces, but Mai summoned more.
Meanwhile, Urho leaped into the air and fell straight at Valentin, who surrounded himself with a barrier, that got pounded down into the sand, as the large fists hit the target. It withstood the attacks though, but werebear wasn't stopping, he kept slamming, and punching at it. The mage needed to do something, and he did, he timed a break between the hits, and used something to mobe the whole bible alongside with him out of the way, then he flew it further, but Urho, despite the rage, noticed, and followed.
Meanwhile, Mbeki and Lorenzo exchanged few blows, trying to get one another, but they couldn't. They both were quite good with parrying, and their speed seemed to be similar. Kagiso at some point stepped back, breaking his tempo, and instead of attacking, waved his hand. The sand sprayed all over his opponent, he used this window, to jump forward and attack, reaching his target.
He couldn't deliver another blow, as the maul plowed the air, targeting his head, so he had to avoid. Both of them broke apart from each other, making some distance. As the sand settled down it revealed that Lorenzo's armor had a hole in it, and there was a bit of blood on Mbeki's spear.
Just as they were coughing a breather, a man in a bubble flew next to them, and a raging werebear charging on all fours, passed by chasing his target.
Valentin tried to hit the beast with magic, sending multiple bolts of fire, that were hitting Urho, but doing no damage. He clearly needed something stronger, but using more mana, was hard while moving around, especially if you had to use another skill for it. I knew that from experience.
The cameras moved to Andy and Mai, as he finally closed the distance, and attempted to knock down the girl with his weapon, but she summoned more stick dolls right at his face, so he actually had to focus on them, displaying his solid skills in using the staff.
He kept spinning it, blasting the creatures with both ends in a repetitive manner, while upkeeping the tempo. Mai attempted to use this opportunity to run, but he followed her, despite the creatures, as he was able to push through them and keep them at a far enough distance.
That moment a powerful explosion hit the stadium, and werebear was send flying through the air. He landed heavily on the sand, and the lens focused on Valentin, breathing heavily, with blood coming out of his nose.
