At this time, they had arrived at the Qian Dao Sect’s auction house. Long Di heard that something unusual had appeared in this auction, and if he was interested, he would try his best to get it.

  ****

The auction house stood tall and picturesque. The characters ‘Qian Dao Sect’ were carved in golden words on its signboard.

There were no massive steps of stairs to enter the auction house. After all, the Qian Dao Sect accepted everyone and the lack of stairs was a way to show everyone one thing, and that was that they were not putting on any airs.

We will not look down on you, and you will not look down on us. We are all equal in the discussion of business!

When Long Di’s group arrived at the auction house. There was a female attendant at the door. In terms of beauty, she was only above average, far from being comparable to Zi Yu, and even worse, Yaomu Shou. There wasn’t even a need to mention Shen Ling as a form of comparison, as that would just be a form of cruel and unusual punishment.

It was her job to welcome all the customers that visited the auction house, whether it was for the auction or otherwise. However, the attendant took one look at Long Di’s attire and a look of disgust appeared on her face.

“I’m sorry, sir, this is an auction house. We conduct business here and are not a charity,” the attendant bowed at the waist as she said this, but her tone practically dripped with condescension.

Where did this country bumpkin come from? His clothes were cheaper than free and were tattered with numerous holes. Everyone else didn’t look too bad, but this man was obviously their leader, and that spoke volumes about their status, and that was that it was probably trash!

“That is a shame, from your smell to your looks. Everything is in dire need of a charity, if I’m being honest,” Long Di replied.

“You…!” the attendant nearly choked on her anger. Did this boy know how gifted he was in angering people!?

Even though she wasn’t the best-looking girl out there, she was well aware that her looks could cause quite a few to turn their heads.

“Nevertheless, as unfortunate as it may be for you, I’m well aware that this isn’t a charity.” Long Di said, not taking her to heart. “In fact, I am here to participate in the auctio-”

“Who the hell do you think you are!?” Yaomu Shou stepped forward in anger. When had anyone ever dared to disrespect anyone that was with her!? This was equivalent to slapping her in the face!

Yaomu Shou might seem like an amiable person who was laid back at first glance, but the truth was that this was only in front of Long Di, and people closely related to him. There was no one else that she gave face to, not even in her family. Not even she herself knew why she held Long Di in such high esteem, but this was part of the interest that held her.

In any case, she rarely had people who she liked, and this door attendant dared to look down on her people!? Was she tired of living!?

The attendant felt as if she was suffering from indignation! It was Long Di who insulted her, so why was she being scolded!?

“M-Ma’am, I… hm!?” The attendant was just about to speak when she noticed Yaomu Shou’s dark blue skin, black hair, fangs, and tail. This instantly gave away Yaomu Shou’s racial identity as a Yuan Demon.

This was an extremely noble race in the demon region overall. There were many species of demons in the demon race, but there were some who were seen as true demons. The bloodline that possessed this identity so deeply ingrained in everyone’s mind were the Yuan demons.

They were very rare and seldom appeared in public. Every one of them held lofty statuses in the demon region without exception.

When the attendant saw how she had offended a Yuan Demon, she paled several shades and was at a loss of what to do. Just the young demon’s identity as a Yuan demon solidified as someone who had a high social status in the demon region. How was she supposed to do this?

“Weren’t the Qian Dao Sect supposed to greet everyone with a smile!?” Yaomu Shou snorted in derision at this attendant. “I don’t want to look down on you, but I really look down on you! Where’s your manager!?”

  “I-I-I”

Long Di observed how Yaomu Shou handled the situation and was beginning to wonder if she was a ‘Karen.’

“What is happening here!?” A loud booming voice traveled over that silenced everyone.

Not long after, a tall strapping, middle-aged man came over with an unfriendly expression.

“Are you the manager?” Yaomu Shou didn’t care for his manners in the slightest. The Qian Dao sect was famous for not putting on any airs before anyone, even beggars would receive the same treatment that a supreme elite would receive. Did this all change!?

“Yes, I’m the manager! Why are you all causing trouble in front of my auction house? Scram!”

“You want to say that again old man!?” fury contorted Yaomu Shou’s face, though due to her beauty, she was still cute, even in her anger.

“W-Who are you calling o-old man!?” the middle-aged man was not expecting such a verbal attack. He wasn’t that old! Plus, he was even called not ugly one time!

“You, ya dry skin having, gray-haired wearing, can’t even be called not-ugly looking-”

Long Di waved a hand in front of Yaomu Shou, causing the latter to calm down immediately.

  …

Two figures in the distance were nearly shocked to death when they saw this, “T-The young miss is heeding this young man’s command a little too easily, isn’t she? She doesn’t even give face to her m-”

“Let’s kill him,” the other one said before the first one finished his sentence. He even raised his hand as if to take action.

“Wait,” the first figure waved his hand to calm his colleague. “We just need to make sure the child doesn’t influence the young miss too much.”

“You know, I’ve heard that not breathing is a wonderful cure for that,” as he said this, he raised his hand once more.

“We’re not going to wantonly kill someone the young miss favours!” The old man said.

It took some time for this old man to convince his friend to not murder Long Di simply because their young miss listened to him.

“Hmph! Fine! We’ll continue to monitor him, but I don’t like it!” the old man pouted as he said this.

The other old man shook his head and didn’t pay any more attention to this rash colleague of his.

  …

“We wish to enter the auction house, however, your attendant stopped us,” Long Di advised.

However, how could the master of the auction house care about this!? He was currently shaking in anger while his face was red with rage at being insulted by Yaomu Shou! This girl was toxic to an unbearable degree.

“Scram!” he roared at Long Di’s group. He was a disciple of the Qian Dao Sect. Why did he need to suffer any sort of embarrassment at Long Di or this girl?

“Uhm, sir?” the attendant called out to him.

“What?” he looked at the young girl, wondering why she had called out to him right now.

“The girl,” the attendant pointed at Yaomu Shou with fearful eyes.

“What?” the man’s brow shot up in confusion.

“Look at her!” she said through gritted teeth under her breath. Why was this man so bullheaded!? Could he not see that she was trying to help.

He then looked at Yaomu Shou once more. Soon enough, his frown disappeared, then slight confusion took reign, before being replaced by a look of enlightenment, then astonishment took hold before it finally settled on horror.

  “Ya-Ya-Ya-Ya-Ya…”

“You seem to be unable to construct a coherent sentence. Maybe this can clear things up,” Long Di took out a medallion and showed it to the two of them.

When they saw this they paled even more. The old man looked at Long Di with a gaping expression.

  “Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y…”

‘How did it make him lose brain cells instead? Is this thing a cursed object, is why so many cultivators are stupid beyond redemption?’

“What is happening here?” A pleasant voice drifted from within the auction house.

When the middle-aged man and the attendant saw who it was, they both lowered their heads immediately.

“Greetings, young sir, Fuyou,” the two said.

Who else could it be but Yang Fuyou? The same person that wished to build an acquaintance with Long Di.

“So it’s Long Di, how have you been?” Yang Fuyou asked with a smile.

“They told me to scram,” Long Di said, pointing at the middle aged man and the attendant with an innocent expression.

The duo naturally cried but had no tears to shed. ‘How could you screw us over like this!? Couldn’t you give us a chance!? You’re awesome, okay!?’

Yang Fuyou’s expression turned dark when he heard this, “You two dare to tell customers to scram! You dare to spit upon the teachings of the Qian Dao Sect!? How brazen of you!”

Yang Fuyou was furious. The teachings of the Qian Dao Sect were practically religion to its disciples.

In truth, both the man and the attendant weren’t true disciples. They could only be thought of as outer sect disciples at most. Yang Fuyou was the only true disciple at the location and not just that, but a very promising one at that. This was why he was given the task of overseeing the auction house; to see how much wealth he could bring in. He would be graded on his performance and this would determine his standing in the sect.

How could he bear two people who wished to be disciples looking down on the Qian Dao Sect’s teachings!?

“Will you scram on your own, or should I help you along?” Yang Fuyou was struggling to keep himself in check. Not only had they insulted a customer, they even went as far as offending two existences they should never offend.

The first was Yaomu Shou. Her existence was something that not even the Qian Dao Sect could afford to offend, and Long Di, who was given a medallion. The medallion meant that this was a valuable customer that must be treated especially well. They were a business, after all, and they had to make sure to take care of their best customers.

Now the two were regretting that they acted like this. They looked towards Long Di, hoping he could help them.

Long Di saw this and decided to intervene.

“Wait,” he said, causing Yang Fuyou to pause.

“Customer Long?” If Long Di decided to drop the issue, then he naturally wouldn’t pursue it.

Pointing at the middle-aged man he said, “He also said he was the master of the auction house.”

  ‘Shit!’

  Pu!

Not just the duo, even Yaomu Shou, and the rest of Long Di’s group nearly choked in astonishment!

Long Di was too petty, wasn’t he!? He could have left it here and the two would have naturally been chased out. But now, not only did Long Di push them off a cliff, he then peed on them as they fell, flipped them off, and then invited sharks to gorge themselves on their corpses!

“I’m petty,” Long Di shrugged his shoulders.

‘So you admit!? You’re too shameless!’

“Get Oooouuttt!!!!” Yang Fuyou landed a kick on the butt of the duo. The force behind the kick sent the two airborne, and before long, they became a tiny dot in the distance.

Yang Fuyou took a moment to reorganise himself and before long, he reassumed that same warm spring breeze smile as he looked at Long Di and his friends, “Esteemed customers, please enter.”

“Why thank you,” Long Di said as he entered. Yaomu Shou stepped in, followed by everyone else.

Long Di was a simple man. If you were good to him, he would treat you we… decent-ish, but if you insult him, he would screw you over to near or absolute madness.

Yang Fuyou led them along for a while and when the other workers in the auction house saw this, they were stunned!

Who was Yang Fuyou? He was a disciple that an elder of the Qian Dao Sect looked highly upon, yet he took the initiative to lead the way for Long Di and his group personally!

He brought everyone to a private box, “Long Di, you and your friends can partake in the auction from here.”

When Yaomu Shou saw this, her brow rose in astonishment. “Hm.”

After leading them up to there, he excused himself, “I have other matters to attend to, so I will excuse myself here.”

He bowed and quickly left. Long Di opened the door and entered the private box. Everyone apart from Yaomu Shou entered. She looked in the direction that Yang Fuyou left in for a while longer before entering the box with everyone else.
