“Hehehe,” the weak laugh of Zi Yu trickled out under the two women’s banter.

“Be careful what you wish for. It might just come true!”

  ****

“Shut up!” Yue Wang sent another slap towards Zi Yu.

  Shu!

As she said this, an old demon similar to the one that Long Di killed in Thousand Emo valley appeared soundlessly.

His hand caught Yue Wang’s slap effortlessly, “That’s enough, ninth mistress.”

She was unsatisfied, “But chief elder-”

“Silence, Yue Wang!” The chief elder raised a hand to quiet her.

“If you go overboard here, the Zi family will retaliate in full force, and though we are not afraid of them,” he looked at the wounded Zi Yu as he said this as if to raise a point.

“Their power is still undeniable, and their sting would certainly be felt by us. However, that is neither here nor there, there is a… thing upon the horizon,” he said the word thing with great difficulty.

His gaze became distant as he stared through the open gates of Nether Immolation War Temple.

  Shu!

A second elder appeared at her other side with an expression of severity, “Something evil is coming this way, chief elder.”

He had brought a familiar face with him, who remained silent as the two conversed.

“I know.” the chief elder commented. “I was within the halls when the enforcement hall’s elder’s life tablet shattered!”

“What!? You ca-” the second elder was shocked!

The chief elder interrupted him, “And I fear it is related to the phenomenon that is fast approaching.”

They both looked to the skies above at the dark clouds that churned restlessly as if the Heavens was readying itself to hand down its judgement at any time.

Before long, everyone could see a dot from far away that was being given detail as it annihilated distance at a swift speed.

The gates of Nether Immolation War Temple were always open due to their love of war. They accepted all challenges and lusted after conflict and battle. Their disciples, as well as their elders, were all battle-hungry fanatics.

Of course, one had to be ready and worthy to draw out this side of them, as when it started, it would be hard to stop. But even they felt the slightest urge to close their gates for the first time since the great war when they felt what was bearing down on them.

The thing that was coming for them was now all too clear and what they saw caused the slackness of their jaws to dig out ditches a whole Long Di deep.

“I-It’s, it’s a Shidashi Mao!” a young disciple of the temple could feel his knees buckling in both excitement and fear!

The revelation caused a stir amongst the disciples. One disciple, in particular, was extremely affected by this, and his eyesight went farther than the regular disciples here.

His name was Zai Yinmou, one of the few core disciples of Nether Immolation War Temple.

Another disciple beside him noticed his strange countenance and asked him, “S-Senior apprentice-brother Zai Yinmou, is there something wrong with the Shidashi Mao?”

“No,” Zai Yin Yinmou shook his head. “There is someone riding it!”

  “What!?”

The entire sect was in an uproar by this time!

Zai Yinmou was one of the most powerful disciples within the current younger generation of Nether Immolation War Temple, so his words carried a lot of weight!

There should be no one capable of riding a Shidashi Mao. The magical beast’s unquenchable thirst for blood rendered its taming a pipe dream for even the most powerful and capable of beast tamers!

“I-Is it a Sheng Fangxie demon?” One of the more erudite disciples asked in a hushed tone.

“What’s a Sheng Fangxie?” another disciple near him asked.

“Silence!” the second elder quieted the bickering of the disciples. Certain things couldn’t be carelessly uttered.

During this time, the Shidashi Mao, with Long Di atop it, arrived before the open gates of Nether Immolation War Temple. He was in full view of the many disciples that attended this prestigious sect!

  Krrrssh!!!

His Profound Myriad Heavenseize Physique was also on full display!

His body was crystalline, with a view showcasing dots of lights, a vivid representation of the starry heavens! Lightning rampaged the boundless space within, transforming Long Di into a lightning god.

A finger of divine retribution was at his side, seemingly composed of grey lightning. Arcs of the tyrannical energy streaked off in all directions, tearing up the ground in its unbridled rampage!

  “Guh!”

  “Ah!”

Suddenly, the disciples, in increasing numbers, were fainting or even felt their somatic essence or otherwise circulating out of control!

“Drive back the disciples!” The chief elder ordered.

“Get back! All of you!” The second elder summoned the other elders to carry the disciples deeper into the sect to keep them safe.

“What a powerful will!” The chief elder was shocked that there existed a cultivation technique that required such a powerful will, or that there was someone crazy enough to practise it!

What shocked him, even more, was Long Di, who didn’t look to be more than eleven, yet was obviously a two star core martial master!

Aside from that, the aura of this technique was far beyond anything he had ever experienced before.

Above all, what caused him to stay his hand against this child was the lightning he commanded, it was tribulation lightning!

A type of energy no mortal nor god should be able to possess!

He couldn’t lose his cool here. If he did, then Nether Immolation War Temple may suffer from a blow it couldn’t recover from.

“Who are you!? What business do you have here at Nether Immolation War Temple!?” The chief elder finally addressed this seemingly hostile newcomer.

But the latter remained silent. His gaze was chilling and his countenance stoic. After a while, his neck turned ever so slightly towards a certain direction in the sect and the elder caught this movement in an instant and directed his gaze to where he was looking.

“You!” Yue Wang was shocked that Long Di truly did come to the Nether Immolation War Temple of his own accord.

Then, her expression turned from one of shock to that of joy!

“Chief Elder, it’s him! He’s the one who killed Pang Renwu Yi!”

Pang Renwu Yi was the youth who accompanied her during her outing. She wanted to get revenge on Long Di for not only killing her attendant, but even more so for his disrespect towards her. In her eyes, any one of the elders should be able to handle Long Di!

When the chief elder heard this, he didn’t say anything, but his thoughts were in a mess!

‘Damn it! What did you invite to your door!? Savage Taitan needs to reprimand her!’

He then turned back to Long Di, “Young one, Nether Immolation War Temple is not a place where you can freely come and go as you please! State your purpose or leave!”

His tone was strong and imposing, but Long Di wasn’t paying him any mind, something that angered him! He was THE chief elder of Nether Immolation War Temple, yet not only did he have to come out to deal with a mere child, but that same child was ignoring him.

However, Long Di wasn’t doing it on purpose. He was looking at something else. His gaze was plastered on Zi Yu’s body.

Her body was filled with the lacerations of numerous whip marks. Her face was slapped to the point where the skin gave way. His expression never changed, but the sight invoked terrible memories within him.

Long Di had a habit of oversimplifying things, especially in the sense that his uncle ‘beat’ him. It was, however, so much more.

What his uncle did was torture, from his younger years to his older age. Alcohol eventually became a part of the routine and the pain grew from there. He never went as far as to try to kill him, or rather Long Di felt as if he didn’t dare to, but he could always feel the overwhelming killing intent that man had for him and the scars and bruises, his body had from his last life was something he saw a fraction of in Zi Yu’s body and it angered him terribly.

  He raised his finger.

  Hong!

The clouds overhead split ever so slightly as the pressure increased many-fold!

  “Give Zi Yu to me.”

“W-What?” The chief elder was caught off guard by Long Di’s request since this was the first time the latter spoke since arriving here.

He looked in the direction of the second elder for a moment and signalled something with his eyes, which the second elder, upon seeing this, retreated to the depths of the sect for whatever reason.

“Hand Yue Wang over!” his voice rose but his tone remained even.

The chief elder’s expression went cold at Long Di’s domineering tone.

“You killed the elder of the enforcement hall and yet you come here wanting to take a disciple of ours away!? Do you think Nether Immolation War Temple is easy to bully!” He had no doubt in his mind that his child killed Huise Chongtu.

He didn’t know how he did it outside of the move that was currently being employed, but there was no other reason for the enforcement hall’s elder being killed outside of this!

The Temple was the overlord of this region. No one would dare to offend them save for a fool, and here was one of them!

“Your enforcement hall’s elder tried to kill him and captured one of his friends! He was merely defending himself in a life or death situation!”

  “What the-”

The chief elder was shocked once more! There was someone else!?

He looked at Long Di closely and saw what the latter had under his arm? Da Jun!?

“Commander Da Jun!?” The chief elder was livid! “You dare to charge into the sect with a hostile force! You’re betraying the goodwill of Nether Immolation War Temple!?”

“No!” Da Jun shook his head. “I’m here to try to stop the situation from escalating!”

“Escalation has left the building, fool!” the chief elder practically exploded.

  Dum!

Long Di’s hand, or more specifically his finger, fell an integer and a tip of the manifestation of that finger peeked out from beyond the clouds en route to the Nether Immolation War Temple!

It was accompanied by a cry of impassive rage!

  “HAND THEM OVER!”

Breaking down the name Pang Renwu Yi, the character Peng here is 旁 which basically means side or other, Renwu or 人物 means character or figure and finally, Yi which is 一 means one. Do you get it? His name is LITERALLY side character 1! As for Sheng Fangxie, I used the character 圣 for Sheng here, which means sacred or holy and I used 放血 for Fangxie, which means bloodletting or exsanguination.
