The attack landed squarely with a shock wave that quickened the demise of the entire court.

Azure scales burst apart with scarlet blood in frightening quantity, creating a scene of great beauty and extreme carnage!

  ****

“Emissary!” Long Nuhuang stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the gaping neck wound the large dragon sustained.

“Nuhuang’er!” Long Huangdi stopped to drag his wife along! The result was slow progress, which also ended up in the entire family slowing down to a near halt.

Due to her training with the dragon, her cultivation based sky advanced at a starting speed, but she was merely a nine core martial adept all the same.

The only reason she was so strong was because, throughout her training with the dragon, it taught her that she needed more than a good foundation, which her cauldrons attained. The quality of her spiritual qi was equally important.

So through borderline domestic abuse, it trained her to condense the spiritual qi in her body despite her having already formed her pearls. As a result, she was able to explode with a power that exceeded her realm.

This was also why the young disciple from the Soaring Cloud Immortal Sect was able to suppress the family leaders, despite having a lower cultivation base back then.

Long Huangdi would need a much longer time to bring his spiritual qi to the same quality due to his higher cultivation base.

This didn’t matter now though, he needed to bring his wife and the family away from here so they could survive this disaster!

“He helped us, Huangdi! We can’t just leave him here!” Long Nuhuang didn’t want to owe anyone. The emissary probably broke a number of taboos in bringing them here.

She couldn’t leave him like this. Especially when he risked his life to save them!

“Go!” Long Cang’s thundering roar reached them.

“No!” Long Nuhuang’s domineering attitude displayed itself. Especially, in the face of the torrential blood flow that stained his beautiful azure scales.

“Clever, aren’t you?” Long Baofu’s voice echoed through the destruction of the court.

Long Cang turned his attention back to the Second Claw of the Dragon race.

“I needed a quick way to get rid of the spread of your Fated Ruin! The abilities of the Twilight End Dark Dragon Race are truly profound.”

Long Cang announced the name of the specific type of dragon this Long Baofu was. Twilight End Dark Dragon Race was a type of dragon that naturally cultivated a subclass of dark attributed abilities.

Their abilities and power allowed them to accelerate the age of anything or bring rot to it if need be.

Long Cang couldn’t allow the spread to continue, as it would truly put his life in danger. So he decided to block the older dragon’s claw strike to resolve it. The blow might have injured him, yes, but it also gouged out the rotting flesh that threatened to overwhelm him.

Long Nuhuang was no fool. Just by the few clues in their words she could tell that the royal emissary wasn’t at the huge disadvantage that she initially thought.

This was further emphasised by the blood flow suddenly being staunched by what she could only assume to be the dragon’s natural healing factor.

With all this in mind, she allowed her husband to drag her away from here.

“Stay safe! You need to keep your word and train us!” These were the only words she left him amongst the cacophony of the falling rocks that threatened to drop on top of them at any moment.

“Hmph!” Long Cang snorted. “I don’t need any human to worry about me!”

Though this is what he said, there was a small smile at the corner of his mouth that betrayed his feelings.

  Shu!

Suddenly, another claw strike, one much stronger than the first, tore up the ground as it raced towards him!

“Hngh!” Long Cang barely dodged it.

  Boom!

It blasted into the walls of the court, sending bits of rock in every direction!

  Bam! Bam! Bam!

Several whips from Long Cang’s tail sent several large rocks careening in Long Baofu’s direction.

“Hmph!” The Second Claw snorted in derision at the attack.

He easily swatted the rocks away, turning them into dust before he rushed Long Cang, biting after his chest with his metallic-looking teeth!

  Snap!

Long Cang reeled back, narrowly escaping his opponent’s grasp! There was no question who the stronger of the two were. Long Cang was most likely still alive because Long Baofu didn’t wish to take the former’s life.

However, severe injuries weren’t out of the question, and if that were to take place. The humans’ lives would surely be put in question.

“Long Baofu cease your madness!” Long Cang weaved through the falling rocks to dodge both of them and Long Baofu’s attacks!

“Cease!? You’re a million years too early to order me around brat!” Long Baofu’s anger peaked once more as another lump formed at the base of his throat before rising at a swift speed.

“Damn you!” Long Cang cursed as his draconic eyes flashed a shimmering blue!

Faint runes appeared on each azure scale as azure glow peaked through the gaps of his massive teeth!

  ‘Azure Squall!’

A concentrated beam of blue energy escaped the confines of Long Cang’s mouth just as Long Baofu’s Fated Ruin exited his.

  Boom!

The two energies crashed into each other, resulting in a massive explosion that spread from the point of impact with an incredible force behind it!

It ate up everything in its path leaving nothing behind! The storm of grey and azure left nothing behind in its wake, as if its sole mission was to engulf both hell and heaven!

In the blink of an eye, it arrived before both dragons with the power to no doubt inflict severe injuries on all parties.

The Long family, who was at the far end by now, wouldn’t be able to outrun an explosion of this size.

  Phwap!

“What is the meaning of this!?”

A bellowing roar of anger and confusion along a flap of scarlet wings blinded everyone’s vision as a massive maw lined with razor-sharp teeth swallowed the explosion!

So I think I’ve used this before but didn’t explain. Adding ‘er to the end of a name is a term of endearment in Chinese vernacular. So if you know the person is called Yan, and we say Yan’er, it’s the same thing but with a level of intimacy reserved for close family members, close friends, or even lovers.
