He was also a bit curious to see what the situation outside was like.

“Then it’s time to get out of here.”

  ****

However, upon hearing this, everyone realised that the spiritual energy in this place was a bit thin.

It had to be known that the spiritual vein root had only gone in the space of Long Di’s physique a few minutes ago at most.

The richness of the spiritual energy should have kept them here for at least a few days if they waited for it to normally dissipate. However, around twenty percent was already gone! Even the dense fog above them had depleted a great deal.

“What’s going on?” Yaomu Baiyin asked.

Suddenly, Long Di shifted his attention to Lu Pei who was still cultivating. When he saw the latter’s cauldrons, a lone eyebrow rose in response.

Both Yaomu Shou and Yaomu Baiyin turned to look at Lu Pei and their brows did the same.

Lu Pei was a second duan forging expert, which wasn’t that impressive. To be honest, it was downright abysmal.

Most of the more talented experts here had all nine cauldrons and were already condensing their cores. As for Long Di, well… we don’t discuss Long Di’s situation since he’s a first-rate freak in arguably every sense of the word.

Regardless, it wasn’t his realm that garnered their shock; it was the state of his cauldrons.

Orbiting slowly around him were a normal white medial-grade cauldron and an eye-catching orange cauldron.

Lu Pei was in possession of a supreme-grade cauldron!

It had to be known that only experts from the ten great sects had the resources and talent necessary to forge a supreme-grade cauldron.

Yet here was an unknown disciple from a regular sect with a supreme-grade cauldron of all things!

Jia Yan was able to do so only because he found places that perfectly complimented his cultivation technique and because he ingested several casting cauldron pills. With his talent and the resources he spent on his cauldrons, if he couldn’t forge a single supreme-grade cauldron, he would be worthless.

However, it wasn’t the same for Lu Pei. He didn’t have a sugar daddy like Long Di to give him treasures. The sect he was a part of wouldn’t just hand out treasures to him and when you consider his cultivation level, wasn’t he a bit too weak to do anything to support his cultivation? So how was he able to do this?

They couldn’t believe it. Both Yaomu Shou and Yaomu Baiyin’s lower jaws found residence on the floor in shock.

“No one around you is normal, are they?” Yaomu Shou asked Long Di.

“Hey, I have no idea what’s going on here, either. Last time I saw him, he had a bronze destiny, so something’s clearly changed,” explained Long Di.

  “H-He had a bronze destiny!?”

Both Yaomu Shou’s and Yaomu Baiyin’s brains nearly short-circuited when this piece of info hit them.

“But for him to forge an orange cauldron while in a regular sect means that he could very well have a platinum destiny and an upper-rank platinum destiny at that! How could he have jumped so many destinies at once!?” Yaomu Baiyin looked at this Lu Pei like he was a monster.

Yaomu Shou was the same as well. She asked Long Di again if he was sure about Lu Pei’s initial destiny only to be dumbstruck when he confirmed it once more.

Changing one’s destiny normally ended with death. This was well known. If ten thousand attempted to change their destiny, then ten thousand would die. It would be the same for one hundred thousand or even a million. Maybe, just maybe, one in a hundred million could survive, but even that was with a destiny change of an extra meridian!

This Lu Pei experienced an opening of around six meridians, causing a destiny jump of about three destinies!

  This was madness!

From this disparity, one could see just how miraculous Lu Pei’s situation was. He could more than join a great sect with a talent like this and received focused nurturing at that!

Upper-rank golden destiny experts could stay in regular sects if the latter could manage the expenditure to raise such a seed, but a platinum destiny was beyond their level to raise!

Yaomu Shou desperately wanted to know what encounter Lu Pei experienced to achieve such an outcome.

However, that was his own secret and it wouldn’t be tactful to question him about this.

Yaomu Shou decided that she would look into the city that Long Di came from to find out more about the people that came from there. This was too much!

A little over an hour later, a pink tint painted the white cauldron he possessed before the spiritual energy within the space was all used up.

As of now, Lu Pei’s second cauldron was at the quasi high-grade. It was not easy to upgrade the rank of a cauldron without the help of medicinal pills, and the difficulty to upgrade a cauldron only multiplied with the change of every grade.

Lu Pei slowly opened his eyes and released a turbid breath of qi. It took him a while to focus his eyes, but he soon found everyone staring at him oddly.

  “What?”

  Rumble…

Before anyone could ask, the dimension they were in started to shake as it began breaking down.

They were about to be expelled from here!

  …

Previously, outside the spiritual vein root’s space…

  …

  Boom!

A massive explosion went off with lightning whipping about with an uncontrollable fervour!

  “Ah!”

  “No!”

Screams rang out as countless experts died in the embrace of the lightning’s destructive energy.

This explosion was even stronger than the ones before it and it reaped as many lives because of it.

It took longer for the explosion to die down, but once the dust cleared, a scene of carnage greeted the survivors.

The ground surrounding the lightning sphere was a mess. The earth there was rent asunder with smoke erupting from certain spots.

A fair distance from it, where the lightning was weaker, dismembered limbs were strewn all about.

A thick scent of blood wafted from this scene of carnage.

Many people stared at the sight before them with 3 points anger and 7 points fear. This was because many of the people that survived were friends or acquaintances of the deceased, but even then the lightning sphere still stood.

  “The next wave, forward!”

A shout came from Jixie Wudongyuzhong, that sent a shudder down the spines of the experts present.

However, no one moved, causing a sneer to mar the face of the puppet master. He raised his hand and instantly several puppets surrounded half of the experts, while the experts of the Iron Body Forge Sect surrounded the rest.

Though there were fewer disciples of the ten great sects compared to everyone else, the latter’s combat prowess far exceeded the normal disciples.

One particular expert couldn’t take it anymore and pointed at Full Metal Er Jinshu shouting.

“Er Jinshu you’re too mu- Ah!”

Before he could finish what he was about to say a blood spear pierced him from behind blasting him into a bloody mist!

“Hmph! Who do you think you are to call young master Jinshu’s name so casually?” Xue Zi, the one who killed him, curled his lips in contempt at the foolishness of this expert.

“Xue Zi!” His friends gnashed their teeth in anger at Xue Zi. This was too much!

Killing him because they called Er Jinshu by his name!? What kind of rule was this!?

“What!? You’re not satisfied!? Then come at me!” Xue Zi sneered.

However, they didn’t move forward since they knew they weren’t a match. He wasn’t someone worth mentioning before, but now he was able to dominate them.

Xue Zi was quite powerful since he learned the Blood Crypt Sect’s defining technique. There were very few people in the younger generation, barring those monsters from the ten great sects, who could take him on.

Since they couldn’t find Long Di at the moment, he was venting his anger out on these disciples from the regular sects. If anyone wanted to blame him, he could say that he was just following orders.

“Next wave,” the calm voice of Er Jinshu echoed out once more.

When the experts present heard him, their expressions fell. Though he sounded calm and gentle compared to Jixie Wudongyuzhong, he was far more overbearing and tyrannical.

Jixie Wudongyuzhong would stop once they were moving forward, but Er Jinshu would have people killed if they simply weren’t moving as fast as he would like them to.

Seeing as how no one moved, the Iron Body Forge Sect’s disciples closed in on these experts to push them towards the lightning sphere.

This was pushing them to their deaths. Sure, the lightning sphere was growing smaller, but the rate of its shrinkage was much too slow.

“Grr! W-We’ll fight it out with you!”

Suddenly, a group of experts decided to break out of this encirclement to escape altogether.

This action of theirs spurred others into action. They would rather fight with these experts from the ten great sects than allow them to benefit from their deaths.

Both the Iron Body Forge Sect’s disciples and the Divine Puppet Sect’s disciples instantly saw through their plans and internally mocked these so-called experts.

They were well aware that these experts were spineless and selfish individuals. When Er Jinshu and Jixie Wudongyuzhong forced people to be the vanguard to wear down the power of the lightning sphere, almost every power here sent the weakest among them who they deemed expendables as sacrifices.

Obviously, since the rate of shrinkage of the lightning sphere was too slow, they could probably tell they wouldn’t be able to deplete its energy in time and instead wished to break out with as much power on their side as they could.

“My, it’s quite lively here.” a silvery voice drifted over that instantly quelled the chaos that was about to erupt.

Everyone looked over to see a group of white-robed white-haired people coming over.

There was a young woman at the head of them that exuded an ineffable dao charm.

There was a soft glow that she radiated, and the very essence of the heavenly daos seemed to be contained in her every movement.

There was a thin line that ran from her brow to near her hairline. She didn’t emit any awe-inspiring aura, but both Er Jinshu’s and Zhanshi Yon’s light dimmed in comparison to hers.

This was a race known as the most gifted and loved by the heavens. A race whose power surpasses even that of the ten great sects.

  Sacred Celestics.
