Jinzi Buxia’s Golden Ten Thousand Golden Revolution Refinement crashed into the awaiting Long Di with a powerful explosion
Boom!
****
The explosion spread out for hundreds of metres with a deafening blast!
The experts by now were more than far away enough from the area of effect.
Just Long Di’s cauldrons alone covered an area far beyond where the range of this explosion reached, so they were safe for now.
Even so, that was cauldron suppression, and this was an explosion; two very different things. Just because the range of Long Di’s cauldronic pressure range was much larger than Jinzi Buxia’s explosion range doesn’t mean anything with regard to standing up to the attack’s power.
As a result, they were curious to know what the outcome of this clash was. After all, everyone now saw that Long Di’s cultivation was merely at the peak of the cauldron-forging realm.
Sure, he was a demonic genius able to fight above his realm, as he was able to kill Xue Zi and Zhen Song, but Jinzi Buxia was a different case altogether.
This was a peak three-core martial adept. An existence that stood unrivalled in the early stage of the core formation realm.
Because of this, many people didn’t think too highly of Long Di’s chances to survive. The gap between a single core in the core formation realm was roughly 10x for each increase barring the early, mid and late stages.
Facing a genius like Jinzi Buxia only exacerbated this.
One was a demonic genius that could fight across realms and the other was a super genius of a great sect.
All this resulted in a clash whose aftermath was shrouded in uncertainty.
So when the explosion finally died down and the dust slowly cleared, everyone held their breath to see what the situation was.
Soon, the silhouette of two figures slowly came into view. The two stood frozen in time. It was as if no matter what happened outside the space they created they would still hold their positions.
The dust slowly dispersed, revealing the situation within frame by frame.
Once everything was bare for them to see, everyone’s heart shuddered in intense trepidation.
Yaomu Qiang was no different. He took a step back in fear under the pressure of what he witnessed. Even the intense fight between Yaomu Shou, Full Metal Er Jinshu, and the one between Chen Jie and Yaomu Baiyin and Lu Pei came to a halt.
Long Di stood behind Jinzi Buxia with his back facing the latter. He was in a slashing stance with an electric gaze facing forward.
Jinzi Buxia was very much the same, but unlike Long Di who was in a slashing stance, he instead had a single palm outstretched with a gentle golden glow that was slowly dimming.
Looking lower, one could see a gaping wound that ate away half of his midsection. The bones within were a powdered mess and the organs that were untouched deeper inside were all lacerated to a sickening extent.
However, it was not the severity of the injury that caught everyone off guard; it was the glow that encapsulated Long Di’s sabre. Even now, lightning still crackled up and down its length, but there was a unique glow that covered it now.
One that carried an aura of destruction much deeper than the one lightning itself possessed.
“Sabre intent.”
It was the Noble Attendant that said this, and it sent the experts watching this into a frenzy.
Sabre intent was something that only fanatics of the sabre could comprehend. So much so that it was widely thought that only those madmen within Saber Mountain were capable of utilising it.
Everyone who thought that Long Di was relying on the power of his spiritual artefact was duly silenced this time.
Apprehension filled Er Jinshu, Chen Jie and everyone else that had a feud with Long Di.
“I-I see.” was the last thing Jinzi Buxia managed to eke out before the golden glow of his palm dimmed completely, and he fell face forward, his life extinguished.
Just like that, a great genius of the Iron Body Forge Sect was felled by Long Di.
Long Di looked at Yaomu Shou and sent a spiritual transmission to her, which she replied to with a simple nod of the head.

She then gave him a bit of information about what he was about to face and to be careful, and he nodded in turn before he resumed his trek up the basin.
He was unhindered in his journey. No one dared to stand in his way. After all, who was stupid enough to fight him after all that happened?
His cauldrons were perverted enough to render regular Iron Body Forge Sect disciples susceptible to death by one of his punches. In addition, the power of his somatic essence was so heavy and refined that it was like one pound of steel going against ten pounds of feathers. Sure the feather weighed more, but that pound of steel was more than able to tear those feathers a new one.
Yaomu Qiang saw that Long Di was making his way to him and he could feel his heart clenching.
He then grit his teeth and forced himself to take a step forward, “Long Di don’t you care what happens to your friends!?”
As he said this, he looked to one of his colleagues and they took out a blade and held it to the neck of Jia Yan, prompting Long Di to stop in his advance.
Seeing this, Yaomu Qiang sneered in contempt. To think he would stop for a mixed-blood demon.
Though he saw no change in Long Di’s expression, just the fact that he stopped moving told him everything he needed to know. This fool would sacrifice everything, even himself, for his friends.
“Drop your weapon!” Yaomu Qiang barked.
Ching!
Without hesitation, Long Di dropped the sabre.
“Yaomu Qiang, if you dare to hurt anyone of those kids I will activate my own Edict!”
“Y-You can’t cancel out one Edict with another!” Yaomu Qiang argued.
“Maybe not!” She agreed, putting him at ease before her next words caused him pure anxiety. “But I wonder how important your life is in the face of an Edict?”
His eyes widened in shock at her words, “you’re willing to go that far for… for a human!?”
Yaomu Qiang couldn’t understand why Yaomu Shou was willing to go so far for someone else, and it caused boundless jealousy to well up within him.
“Without a doubt!” She shot back.
“You-” He was about to retort when an eruption of power stunned him into silence.
Shing!
Her sword lit up with that same imperial aura and she placed the sword next to her palm!
“I swear to you Yaomu Qiang, if you harm or kill any of those kids, I will use the Imperial Divine Edict to call upon the end of your life!” Yaomu Shou’s expression was dark and sinister. This Yaomu Qiang was too hateful, causing the worst part of her to surface.
This was the power of the Imperial Divine Edict. Its power was severely limited regarding the number of uses, but it was absolute in its authority.
Even if the order was unreasonable and illogical it still needed to be carried out!
Yaomu Qiang had truly angered her by using her friends as hostages to stop Long Di.
Of course, Yaomu Qiang trembled in rage. He knew that Yaomu Shou was serious. This little successor was imperious in her actions and maybe she wouldn’t kill him, but his life was surely not going to be good from here on out if he went too far.
Yaomu Qiang raised his hand to stop his consociate from enacting his threat. He was the leader of the junior team this time around, so his orders had to be followed.
“Fine then! You won’t take action if I fight him myself will you!?” he asked Yaomu Shou, still angry.
Yaomu Shou didn’t answer him, but instead moved the sword away from her palm. Yaomu Qiang was incensed by her silence, but got the clue well enough from her actions alone.
“Alright criminal you can di-”
Shu!
His next word was cut off as Long Di was already before him with his sabre raised high for an overhead slash!
