Soon after, the clouds above split open to reveal a finger composed of Heavenly Levyance tribulation lightning.

Long Di’s voice came out clearly despite the detonations that went off because of the finger’s emergence. “I call this ‘The Ultimate Flip Off.’”

  ****

The Ultime Flip Off!? This was too much, wasn’t it!?

This was a divine technique of heavenly proportions and this was the name that was decided for it!? What kind of grave injustice was this!?

The spiritual lock that held Tai Ren in place was something that Long Di utilised. Thanks to the berserk nature of The Ultime Flip Off, it caused his spiritual force to circulate with an intensity that surpassed the first one.

As a result, his spiritual force was able to hold Tai Ren down even though the latter had a higher cultivation base. What also made this possible was that demons were not particularly gifted when it came to spiritual force, or even mental energy, so as a result, the spiritual lock had a much higher chance of keeping him in place.

  “Ah!!!!”

Tai Ren released a deafening bellow, a cry of unwillingness to die. The lines on his body grew brighter as they slid to the ground in an attempt to draw out the earth’s energy to keep his vital energy and life force at its peak!

He may not be able to execute any defensive or escape techniques, but staying in place and drawing out energy was a possible way to escape this calamity.

  Bam! Bam!

Several detonations went off as the finger slowly descended. Long Di was giving the elders and the disciples enough time to get farther away, lest they be caught in the explosive fall out.

When he saw that they were at a decent distance, he urged The Ultimate Flip Off to quicken its descent.

Tai Ren screamed as the pressure of the finger naturally assaulted before it arrived. It eventually made contact and one could see Tai Ren’s body breaking down!

  Bang!

A power explosion set off that ravaged land for miles all around. Long Di ducked back into the pit that was his prison not long ago. He didn’t doubt his ability to survive this attack, but it would be quite troublesome, and if there was an easier way to deal with it, then why not?

The powerful mental energy and spiritual force stimulated by the ‘The Ultimate Flip Off’ naturally went back to normal so he had to cling to the walls to keep himself in place.

By the time he climbed back out, the landscape had entirely transformed. He waved his hand and the bronze saber appeared once more.

He didn’t want to let his guard down. He was still young at eleven years old, and as such he wanted to nurture his battle senses and martial instincts deeply into his bones from early on so that it would become as natural as breathing when he’s older.

An eerie silence befell the battlefield. It was only occasionally broken by the quiet patter of footsteps Long Di made as he surveyed the surroundings.

He eventually came upon the spot where Tai Ren was before.

“He was not ready for today,” Long Di shook his head before turning away to leave.

He was some distance away before his grip around the saber tightened.

  Clang!

An earthen spike appeared out of nowhere before it was blocked by the broadside of the saber!

Naturally, Long Di was not going to just receive such an attack and not retaliate. He held the saber overhead before bringing it down with great strength!

  Bang!

The ground around him was blown to smithereens, revealing a sorry figure. In the small pit was Tai Ren but his current figure caused even Long Di to stare in wonder.

“Human trash! You will regret what you’ve done today!”

Tai Ren’s body was like loose sand, it desperately tried to regenerate into the form it had before but it kept falling and crumbling after each attempt. It was a terrifying sight.

‘He was definitely not ready for today,’ Long Di thought.

“I will exterminate your entire clan and family!” Tai Ren roared. Never had he thought that he would be reduced to such a state.

When Long Di heard this, his heartbeat slowed and his thoughts of wonder left him. “I’m sorry, could you repeat that?”

“Did you not hear me!? I’ll kill your entire family and clan!” Tai Ren’s anger was such that if he didn’t slander Long Di and his family, he felt like he would explode! “Whoever raised you must be at the heights of incompetence! Your father is most likely a fool among fools. A sorry excuse of a man and your mother is probably no better than a slu-”

  Bang!

Before the last word would leave Tai Ren’s words, a saber sliced through the air that caused him to swallow whatever it was he was about to say.

The lines that were on him before were chaotic and tangled, but he could still make use of them for the most basic moves.

  Boom!

An earthen wall was quickly erected before it was destroyed by Long Di with one slash! Tai Ren was shocked at the power the boy before him displayed.

‘How could he still retain such terrifying combat prowess after releasing such a powerful attack!?’

However, how was he to know that Long Di had only managed to recover about fifteen percent of his divine might! This allowed him to call down the technique but it was nowhere near as strong as when he used it to slaughter the elders and protectors that came after him back at the not-relic.

When you consider his two star-core Martial Master cultivation and the cores to support this expenditure, it was no wonder Long Di was still able to keep his combat power relatively high.

Factoring in reasons such as the remnant will of the Peach Blossom Sage not providing Long Di with energy and the divine might only being a fraction of its full potential resulted in the technique being a far cry from what it was.

However, it was only because the technique was weakened to such an extent that Tai Ren survived. In addition, the race of demons he belonged to was also like unkillable cockroaches. Their connection to the earth granted them great vitality and lifeforce!

“Brat, if you kill me, my sect will wipe this place out and your clan will be slaughtered!” Tai Ren tried to scare Long Di into stopping his attacks but if anything, the latter’s attacks only increased.

  Bam! Cling! Boom! Bang!

Blow after blow was being traded as Long Di tore through the defences that Tai Ren could muster! Tai Ren was trying to realign the lines on his body so his body could properly regenerate and then he would be able to access his other abilities to kill Long Di!

“Argh!” He launched an attack in a fit of rage to keep Long Di off of him.

Long Di managed to dodge the attack and rushed in on an opening he spotted that allowed him to arrive right before Tai Ren.

The saber followed shortly after in a side swing. Long Di intended to cleave this demon in two!

  Boom!

Surprisingly, the one who flew out was Long Di. When he stood again, he looked ahead where he saw an odd coloured round shield that was about as big as a small washbasin. There was a single line on it that resembled the lines that covered Tai Ren’s body before.

“How does that feel!? Still going to underestimate me!? Looks like you used a lot of energy in that last attack, hahahahaha!”

It was obvious by now that Tai Ren had created a fake opening after baiting Long Di with that attack of his.

Before Long Di’s attack landed, Tai Ren separated one of the lines on his body and used it to activate one of the abilities of his race.

It was a reflective ability that activated when  Long Di attacked before. It reflected eighty percent of his attack’s power back at him. The remaining twenty percent was absorbed by the shield and dispersed in the boundless domain of the earth.

  Shu!

However, who could predict that instead of backing down and allowing Tai Ren to get himself in order, Long Di shot off towards him once more!

Long Di attacked from a different position, but the shield quickly shifted and moved to where his strike would land.

  Bang!

The shield returned eighty percent of Long Di’s power back at him, sending him flying!

“Are you crazy!?” Tai Ren sneered at Long Di’s idiocy.

  Shu!

Long Di charged once again, undeterred by the previous faulted attempts. His expression was not just cold, it was frosty while showing zero emotions. It was like he was staring at a dead man!

  Bam!

  Bang!

  Boom!

“Brat! You’ll never break through!” Though Tai Ren still sounded vicious there was a hint of fear in his eyes. He was close to untangling the rest of his lines so he could take Long Di down, but the boy’s determination shook him to his core!

Long Di was sent flying so many times that he lost count. His body was bloody as it suffered from the shock of having his attack rebound on him numerous times. Obviously, the defensive capabilities of the Marrow Chapter had its limits.

Yet, he never stopped. As he continued on his assault, a certain phrase came to him. Where insanity was defined as someone doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Long Di wasn’t sure if he was insane. He knew he was broken, but was he also insane?

The truth was complicated, but there was a good chance that Long Di was truly insane. After all, he did kill himself to come to a cultivation world based on novels he read. The mere fact that he was not sure if he was insane or not could very well be all the proof he needed to confirm his insanity.

However, it was this ‘insanity’ that engendered a feeling to well up within him. A feeling to destroy what was before him! A feeling to lay waste to that which served as an obstruction!

This feeling then transformed into a want! Then a need! Then an obsession! Then finally an intent!

  Shing!

A sonorous sound rang out as the sabre glowed with a bright light that caused the air to scream in protest to its power!

  “S-Saber intent!? Impossible!”

Tai Ren’s soul left his body when he saw this. He immediately manoeuvred the shield to block the strike; but this proved fruitless, as the blow blasted through the shield and landed on Tai Ren’s still recovering body!

  Bang!

The saber cleaved Tai Ren’s body in two. As this happened, the saber intent contained in Long Di’s blade destroyed the lines on Tai Ren’s body. This destroyed whatever ability he had to draw power from the earth.

Without this connection, his vitality grew weak and was vanishing like a flickering flame.

  Bang!

Insulted by Tai Ren’ existence, the bronze saber pierced through the former’s head, ending his life instantly!

Long Di’s vision immediately became blurry. He staggered before he took a knee to the ground. A strange weakness took hold all of a sudden.

The disciples and elders in the distance all had their eyes opened wide in shock! What did they just witness!? Was this an eleven year old who just comprehended saber intent!?

  Boom!

“Little beast what have you done!?”

A shout from the distance woke everyone from their stupor. They looked over to see a grey-haired old demon charging towards Long Di!

His cultivation was above the Core Flame Evocation stage. Seeing as how he was rushing through the air, this was an existence above even Grandmaster, their guesses were further confirmed by their inability to make out his cultivation base at all!

  Whoosh!

  Bang!

The old demon clapped both palms together, sending a terrifying shockwave towards Long Di.

The latter could barely stand, much less stop this! Long Di could only watch as the attack made its way towards him!
