Chapter 1: Prologue

Never in a million thoughts will Rade be faced with a situation where he will be forced to choose an option, whether he decides his childhood friend Miena or himself for the injection. No, he is 60% certain that in the end, the situation will be the same outcome, regardless of his choice. But, he's very reluctant to do it to Miena, because he went through it once. But another 40% still makes him unsure if his choice is the right thing. One fact that he knows is that he isn't the smartest in this kind of thing. Sure, occasionally he'll get a good employee reward or something when it comes to a project, but most of the time his choice is more like a gamble. Like the situation, he is in right now.

Miena raised her head, staring at the indecisive Rade. But in a quick moment, while Rade still agonizing if it is the right thing to do, she grabbed the syringe from his hand and stabbed it into his neck. Such a cruel decision, Rade thought. But it is Miena-like action if he thought about the past. Miena was never considered a good person, to say the least. She always throws stones at the neighborhood windows, and 9 in 10 cases it will break their windows. She's the type if there is no confirmation on yourself, she'll make the situation favors her. A bastard. But there is a reason why those two still sticks together as a childhood friend, like in the apocalypse right now. Because for an unknown reason, Miena always liked to take care of Rade, and Rade himself though was a bit annoyed,  always let Miena do what she wants. No, not the kind of helpless lover looking at his lover, of course, it's just he pretty much gave up after 2 times saying he doesn't like it. Because unnecessary conflict leads to an unnecessary problem. It was his principle since his childhood.

So, what Miena had done to him right now, he just gave up thinking about what will happen to them. Instead, he'll only say this, "Ah, kay. Then I'll entrust myself to you." Miena only smiled, "Yes, I will."
