After sending the letter to Countess Triapan, my father asked me a few questions,
"Rosey, are your memories still gone?"
I let a sad expression appear on my face as I nod my head slowly,
"I'm afraid so, father. I am afraid I still have no memories before waking up. I'm hoping that once my body recovers, so too shall my memories."
He nods his head and pats my hand,
"Well, memories or not you're still my precious daughter. I'll do anything within my power to help you recover. If you ever need anything let me know."
I nod my head and say,
"Actually, I was debating whether or not to ask you this, but do you think we would have a book on magic circles?"
While I may not plan on hiding my abilities, I will still need an excuse family wise for my monstrous increase in strength. I figure I'll create a slight commotion when I do learn this technique and show off the aura of a 5th circle mage. This should cement me as a natural genius, and give my parents a reasonable excuse for my growth. It'll still be unbelievable, but if they send anyone to check me I'll just brainwash them.
My father thinks for a second and says,
"What element do you feel the most connected to?"
I close my eyes for a second and act as though I'm thinking and feeling,
"I feel a pretty strong connect to all of them. When I sit in front of the fireplace, I sometimes find myself lost in the movements of the fire. In the tub, I feel the waves and every single movement. I feel calm when it's calm and anxious when it's disturbed. I feel like a parent when I care for the plants in my room, and when the wind hits my face on my terrace I feel as though I'm freer than a bird."
Everything I just said points towards me being blessed by the god of magic. People blessed by them are said to feel an innate connection with all elements of magic. This should also help their belief that I'm a genius at magic.
Like I expected, my 5th circle father understands the implications and gets a serious look on his face as he thinks.
"I see. I'll find a book for you, don't worry. I apologize for having you leave so soon after you came to me, but I'm afraid I'm a little busy. Will you be at dinner tonight?"
I smile gently and nod my head,
"I shall indeed! I feel well enough to join you all tonight. I'll be back in my room resting till then."
He nods and gets up to open the door for me as I slowly walk over towards it. He pulls a rope which rings a bell in the house and asks me to stay there till a maid comes to help me get to the room.
Eventually a maid comes and helps me to my room politely and I enter to see Annie still asleep on my bed. I smile at the sight and change into my robe before getting in with her. I cuddle her from behind and kiss the back of her head as I focus in on the castle with my aura.
My aura would be able to stretch across half the continent by now, so I'm able to feel anybody who may have killing intent for me. I can feel a massive amount coming from the castle, likely the prince and his dollar store whore. Well, no matter. She'll be mine soon anyways. I can't wait to see the absolute despair painted on his face as his lover submits to me and enjoys it.
I should invite her little sister over to the tea party as well. Slowly, I drift off to sleep with my little maid in my arms to keep me warm.
…
…
…
Soon, I'm awoken by Annie's movement, luckily it seems I only slept a few hours, so it's just about time for dinner. I pull her hair behind her ear and poke her on the cheek.
"It's time to wake up, little princess."
She wiggles her head no and breathes out heavily. I chuckle at her actions and kiss her on the cheek. I get right next to her ear and say,
"If you wake up now I'll give you a present~"
She turns over groggily and frowns at me before realizing who exactly I am. She hurriedly jumps out of the bed and gets on her knees,
"I-I'm sorry my lady! I-I don't know what came over me!"

I look at her and frown. I didn't want her to go back to acting like this.
"Haaaaah… Here I thought you loved me. I suppose I was just a passing fancy for you."
I start fake crying as Annie starts freaking out as she sees the tears coming from my eyes,
"N-no! I just… A-are you sure you're okay with someone as lowly as me?"
I give her a fake angry look as I yell at her,
"I'll have you know you're more valuable than an entire duchy to me! You're my little princess!"
As I call her a princess, she kind of jumps a little at the pet name. She nods her head as tears start to flow out of her eyes. I smile at her warmly and motion for her to sit in my lap. She obeys and asks me a question,
"A-are you sure you're okay with me?"
I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her neck,
"I'm sure baby girl."
She kind of freezes when I call her that,
"Y-you heard that?"
I giggle as I hold her tightly,
"Yes I did! So, from now on, you're my baby girl and I'm your mommy!"
She blushes slightly and has a light smile on her face as I say that. Then, I speak up once again,
"Alright baby, I've gotta get ready for dinner. I'm eating with the family tonight."
She very quickly gets into maid mode and helps me get dressed. She gets me a slightly loose dress similar to chemise dresses on earth.
Clothing is much freer here than medieval Europe. It's not rare to come across women (typically commoners) wearing shorts similar to what modern day women wore. Hell, it's not rare to see people just walking around naked during the hotter months in small towns. Typically in big cities, topless is about the most you can do though.
Anyways, tangent aside, dresses like the chemise are acceptable for nobility. Annie leads me to the dining room like a good little maid and pulls my seat out for me. It seems I'm the last person to arrive as my father, mother, and brother are all here waiting. My mother seems to nearly be crying as she sees me walking, while my brother has an angry look on his face.
My brother's name is Derrick, and he has apparently been attempting to find where the Guild of Assassin's is located to put a price on the prince's head. Now would be a good time for that considering how little support he has. I need to convince him to stop soon so I can get my revenge myself. As I sit, my mother starts questioning me,
"Dear, are you sure you wish to hold a tea party so soon after what happened?"
Derrick also chimes in,
"Yeah, you've been bed ridden for weeks since you woke up. Shouldn't you take a little more time to recover?"
I listen to what they say and retort,
"I found a mixture in a book that is supposed to help people with weak bodies. It's called the Sculpted Body Mixture. It'll also help my muscles recover their strength from before. However, one of the ingredients I need is from the Jelpan flower. I intend to use the tea party as an excuse to get close to Nala Triapan, whose mother runs the territory the flower is grown in. She may be able to get me enough to create said mixture. With the size of my bath, I'll need about a cup of it. Father has already sent requests into the adventurers guild for the rest of the items needed for it. All I'll need is the Jelpan oil."
My mom nods her head but still voices her concerns,
"Alright. However, if you start feeling light-headed just excuse yourself from the party. And I'll only allow it if the party takes place indoors. You can use the main hall. As for the decorations, I'll take care of them. Just rest yourself until the party."
I nod my head to her and address Derrick,
"Derrick, I'd like to have a word after dinner if you don't mind."
He nods his head, and we have a pleasant meal. Minotaur steaks with wyvern sauce. A Redbury wine to accompany it. As a desert, we had a new treat popular around the capital, a type of crumb cake with peanut butter in the center.
