Disclaimer: I do not own The Boys, no idea who does, but it's definitely not me.

A/N: Well, this is just a sneak peak. I've tweaked the Prologue a bit, still in the process of writing the Pilot.

In case you're wondering, this isn't an SI. The Lead is a Cryptids-Hunter of our World, this will be explored in later Episodes.

I blame this Fic on 'Ha! The Boys' by freeraynman. His phenomenol fanfic is what inspired me to write this.

I died.

Sorry, let me elaborate.

I was shot on the street like an animal.

No, it wasn't a governmental conspiracy.

It wasn't a revenge plot either.

I was simply the victim of a group of robbers.

In the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Death was scary, scarier than I had ever imagined.

The feeling of your consciousness slowly blinking away, so close, yet so far at the same time.

It was bloody traumatizing.

Which was I clung to it like the lifeline it was.

Even knowing how futile my actions were, I couldn't help it.

I wanted to live.

There were so much I had not done.

So much to do, to experience.

But Life wasn't fair.

It didn't matter that I wanted to live.

It didn't matter that I was but a young man.

Three bullets to the lungs, and one near the heart weren't injuries I could survive, and I knew it.

Thus, when a voice, hauntingly beautiful, yet simultaneously garbled and gruff asked.

"DO yOu WanT tO liVe?"

I agreed without a moment of hesitation.

And suddenly, I found myself in a World of pain.

My heartbeats were so powerful it sent ripples through the air.

My new Vessel, while weak, contained unimaginable might.

The dense clump of unknown Energy, dark and twisted, began to cling to and penetrate my Soul.

I screamed, and the creatures co-inhabiting my new Vessel screamed right back.

— [Ars Goetia] —

In one World, the first of the Fallen, the once Morningstar of God cussed as his newest Creation, possibly the most powerful yet grew unstable. Its Demonic Mana causing his entire Kingdom to shake to its foundations. "There's no other choice…"

He had hoped that this would work, that he would be able to create the perfect Vessel, infused with the powers of the Ars Goetia and the Extra Demons, but he was wrong. There's a reason why no Devil had been born with more than three Clan Traits, an infantile body, still at the early stages of its development simply could not handle the strain.

Most became stillborn.

The few that survived the ordeal of their birth became useless crippled under the sheer pressure of their innate powers.

They always died weeks later.

Regardless, the outcome was the same.

Death.

Complete and utter destruction of the Vessel and Soul.

He had hoped to rectify this with his own perfect blood, to strengthen the Vessel from the embryotic stage.

He had failed. It just wasn't possible to shove so much in so little.

And now, his precious little experiment, which had gone so well for so long must be eliminated before its unstable Mana molecules could tear the entire Underworld to smithereens.

'A shame.' The Morningstar thought as he activated the mechanism which would send the infant into the farthest depth of the Dimensional Gap.

Away from Earth and the multitude of Dimensions connected to it.

Away from his Eternal Kingdom.

Away from him before it could detonate.

With a flash, Reality was ripped open.

Space-Time shattered.

The entire section of his laboratory where the tank, brimming with liquid Mana and the floating infant was once stationed, disappeared.

That day, Draconic Deus lost a future powerhouse to a World not too dissimilar from their own– A different version of Earth, where False Heroes roamed and preyed on the innocents.

Where Gods had long abandoned Humanity.

And in their arrogance and ignorance, humans created beings rivalled by none.

Monsters in the guise of humans, dressed in gaudy attires, lauded as 'Heroes', when in truth, they were little more than a band of rapists, murderers, terrorists.

Human, yet utterly inhuman.

Stronger, faster... Better in almost every conceivable way.

That day, Vought Corporation gained a new subject.

One sent to them by the Devil.

Quite literally.
