Chapter 24: Magic

Trinity, Saibus, returned home with Regiis, who was resting on Saibus's shoulder. They returned in the early evening as they were attacked on the way back by bandits passing through. Of course, the bandits took Saibus and Trinity for easy prey, but they were all slaughtered. Arriving at the house, Trinity prepared the meal while Saibus and Regiis went to the back, in the garden. Regiis flew off to land on one of the tree branches and watched Saibus drive. The training Saibus does consists of imagining an adversary and fighting with him. It was used a lot in his old world by assassins, including himself, and by high-level combat sports or martial arts people.

Saibus trains this way for an hour, alternating melee and sword fighting. After training, Saibus went for a shower before giving Regiis a meat meal and a wind rune stone to enhance his magic. While Regiis devoured his dinner in the garden to avoid littering the house with his meat, Saibus went into the kitchen to eat with Trinity. Trinity prepared the meal in the kitchen, consisting of soup with bread and meat. She put the dish on the table, and they both ate. Trinity started the conversation.

"Saibus, what types of magic do you practice besides fire magic,"  Trinity asked. "I think I practice all forms of magic a bit, but I specialize in a few, such as elemental magic and spirit magic, so that I can master telepathy and telekinesis,"  Saibus replied. Trinity was shocked by Saibus's words and saw it when she saw the look of surprise, but this expression, composed of shock and surprise, gave way to a serious expression.

"You know that mastering magic is not an easy thing. Even though many wizards and witches have many forms of magic, they are still very few compared to the number of wizards and witches. As a result, many wizards prefer to focus on a single form of magic, depending on their affinities or preferences. "  Trinity said seriously.

"I can help you with some forms of magic that I am proficient in, but know that it will be impossible for you to have skills in all forms of magic. The reason for this is simple. There are many forms. Magic, and even though technically we can train them all, we will be running out of time because it would take us several hundred years. So I think you have to think about what forms of magic you want to learn and know if you don't. You don't have much affinity with any of the chosen forms. It would earn you more time for mastery than for other forms of magic. "  finished Trinity.

"What forms of magic have you learned, and what forms do you think I should learn,"  Saibus asked.

"I think you should train your fire magic first since you are already using it. What other forms of magic you should learn is up to you. I think you should focus on elemental magic first and can use telepathy to communicate from a distance before starting to learn another form of magic. You know that elemental magic encompasses several other forms of magic: fire, earth, water, wind, and lightning. These forms of magic can also have evolved forms, such as blood or ice magic for water and vegetation for the earth ... So learning elemental magic is a good choice and allows you to  'have access to many other forms of magic. "

After Trinity's monologue on the choice of magic, They ate while discussing other everyday things. Dinner ended, and Saibus helped Trinity with the dishes before heading to her room. In his room, Saibus took his equipment and began his interview. First, he cleaned his swords and his assassin's outfit from the blood of bandits. Next, he applies different poisons to his senbons. Then he put his equipment away on the racks and went to his laboratory. Finally, he went into his library and picked up one of the books his mother had left him. The book is written by her mother herself and is called [Elementary Magic.].

Saibus left the library and his laboratory with his book and settled in bed. Elemental magic is a form of water, fire, wind, earth, and lightning. By mastering this form of magic, you can learn other combinations of elemental magic. Here is the introduction to the book. Saibus read the summary and went to the page where his mother explained the magic of fire.

Fire magic is one of the forms of magic that doesn't have much potential outside of combat. Fire magic is used a lot to do significant damage in large areas. It has a lot of use in the offensive but not much for protection other than creating a firewall. A Grand Arch Mage can unleash firestorms and destroy cities in no time with a single attack. But the Grand Arch Mage is not the height of magic, far from it. There is another level above it that people never reached after the Conjunction of the Spheres. This level of mastery is called: Aspect. When you get to this level, you genuinely master magic. The Aspects no longer need words to do magic. They can cast a spell just with the thought. They have a hold over the form of magic they use, and they are its aspect. An Aspect of Fire Magic can change the flame it uses instantly and has the power to shrink a large city in the blink of an eye.

Saibus was shocked upon reading this passage. He was shocked to learn that there was another level after the Grand Arch Mage and that he could do wordless magic just with his thought. He continued to read what his mother had written about fire magic. He reads the many observations his mother had made on the subject and the spells that could be done with this magic. After reading the book, Saibus had a new outlook on fire magic and began to reflect on his level of this magic. He is a mage in fire magic and is soon at the level of the Arch mage thanks to his new understanding of this magic. His moment of thought lasted a few more minutes before he went to bed.
