1 Belleteyn 1193

It has been two and a half years since the stronghold of the École du Loup was attacked. The attack on the Wolf School had many positive and negative consequences. The attack on the school failed, but the Wolf School suffered a tremendous blow. Many apprentices and witchers died. The school has lost 70% of its workforce. There are only about thirty people left, including five magicians, fifteen witchers, and ten apprentices.

Several parts of the fortress walls were destroyed. Several outposts and watchtowers were set on fire by the peasants. Of the large territory of the Wolf School, only Kaer Morhen remains. All the other buildings are nothing more than ruins.

Kaer Morhen was also not spared by peasants and magicians. The interior of the stronghold was ransacked, but luckily nothing valuable like silver weapons, potions, and blueprints were lost. This is thanks to the preparation of Rennes. Fortunately for the school, all the invaders were killed.

News of the attack spread quickly throughout the Northern Kingdoms, creating an uproar. Some agree with this attack, and others are against it.

At first, stupid people blamed the Wolf School, saying that this attack was deserved and that they should have let it go. But, strangely, all the people who said this were nobles or magicians from the different realms that make up the northern realms. But, even more strangely, all his people died in hunting accidents, magic ...

After the attack, Rennes and the twin magicians brought the plot aimed at them to the king's meadows and asked for financial aid to reconstruct Kaer Morhen. The king was furious that he was asked for financial assistance but still helped the witchers. He eradicates the nobles who had survived his purge by putting the plot on their backs to let off steam.

This attack had many consequences for other schools and the Brotherhood of Magicians. First, the other schools began questioning the magicians they worked with, resulting in several suspicious magicians' dismissals. The Brotherhood also had to deal with the aftermath as news broke that an Arch Mage orchestrated this attack and that these wizards are all known and must report to the Brotherhood.

In addition, the population hated magicians even more because they were manipulated by one of them. So the Brotherhood of Magicians had to respond and put everything on Raif's back. She also tightened controls on powerful mages and became tougher on her limbs.

For the assassins, nothing significant can happen except helping the Wolf School rebuild itself and lend a hand to other schools. The League has also succeeded in calming a little the situation of the population towards the witchers and the Brotherhood. She spread rumors about the reasons for the attack, a corrupt wizard manipulated by a powerful specter who wanted to destroy the witchers starting with the Wolf School. Like this, the schools and the Brotherhood will kill each other, and no one will protect the population.

Of course, these are all lies, but the population believed these because they gave hope and portrayed monsters as things to be killed on sight.

The League repaired the strained relations between the leaders a little, but that will not last. On the contrary, new tensions will appear, and links will become tense again.

Other minor consequences have occurred, but that is not what matters to us today. Today Saibus Di Vine will stand trial to become a real assassin. Recognized by his mentor, the League council gave him a mission that he must accomplish alone. If, after this mission, the Council sees fit, he will become an assassin.

In the courtyard of a beautiful house is an 18-year-old young man. The young man is tall. He is 1.80m tall. The youngster is seated on a bench. He polished twin swords. His face is visible in the reflection of his blades. He has a young and healthy complexion. He looks mature. Shiny caps are reflected on its blade, lids of intense green. His eyes are as green as the skin of Brokilon's dryads, and his hair is tied back in a high ponytail (like grown-up Geralt). The youngster is Saibus Di Vine, son of Elena Di Vine and Altair Ahad, half-man, half-elf, apprentice of Trinity, one of the Council of the League of Assassins members.

Saibus is also on the verge of proving his determination, strength, and murderous abilities. He will pass his passing mission, which is straightforward, to kill the King of Nazir.

"Are you ready for your test?"  A soft female voice comes from inside the house. Saibus turns around and sees his mentor, Trinity, the Bleme, a member of the League Council. Trinity wears black pants with a red shirt that brings out her parted hair.

"Yes, I am checking my equipment one last time before embarking on my passing mission,"  Saibus replied.

Trinity nods before sitting down next to her student.

"You finally didn't add chains to your blades. You were very interested in this idea two years ago. So why didn't you realize it?"  Trinity asks.

"I realized that this improvement would only have been insufficient for my fighting style. I have a few ideas for twin sword designs in which I can reforge my blades, but these are just assumptions. Instant. "  Saibus says.

A comfortable silence settles after Saibus's answer. After polishing his blades, he sheaths them and takes an inventory of his equipment. First, Saibus counts his throwing points. Next, he has five pockets of ten needles, one with a paralyzing poison, another with a deadly poison, and a third with a powerful anesthetic. Finally, the last two pockets are filled with standard needles.
