Chapter 56: Proposal

31 Saovine 1199

A slim, athletic man, 1m80. His black hair with blonde highlights is tied back in a ponytail. His eyes are emeralds. He wears an assassin outfit but is different from the classic assassins. It shows his authority in the League. It consists of black leather armor with a brown cape. Underneath the armor, he wears a black and white long-sleeved doublet. His two secret blades on his forearms. A red belt with silver decorations, including the symbol of the League. This belt also contains throwing needles. He wears reinforced pants to protect his legs. More than reinforced boots. To finish with red, white, and black fabrics that go down to her legs.

This man is a half-elf. His slightly larger and pointier ears can see this than the men. This half-elf is Di Vine Saibus, a master assassin of the League, the youngest assassin to become a master at 22. It has now been two years since Saibus became a master of the League.

He carried out many missions, met many people, and made many contacts across the Northern Kingdoms and the Empire of Nilfgaard.

Saibus has also made a name for himself in the League, being the youngest master in the latter's history, and his success rate is 90%. One of the highest success rates in the League. These two facts made him one of the most listened to known assassins in the League.

Saibus is currently in a vast room. The bedroom is divided into several parts. A living room is installed in the center of the square, with a round table and several sofas and seats. Saibus is in one of its seats. Below the living room is a large four-poster bed.

To the right of the living room, a large dark partition with an opening separates the living room from an office divided in two. The bathroom is hidden by a giant screen in the left corner of the room. This screen is juxtaposed to a dressing room where many clothes are stored. In the center of the dressing room stands a dressing table. Then there is a balcony that overlooks a magnificent view of a forest with a mountain range beyond. This view is what Saibus sees, sitting comfortably in his red seat, sipping a glass of red wine.

To the right of the bed, a stone fireplace warms the room thanks to several burning logs—finally, a kitchen equipped with the same appliances as Trinity's.

In the kitchen, a beautiful woman is cooking. The woman is in front of the fire, skillfully manipulating the bronze utensils. She prepares the meal while whistling. Her dark hair is tied back in a bun, so it won't be embarrassing while preparing dinner. A small strand of hair falls in front of her beautiful deep purple eyes. She looks like a noble lady preparing the meal for her family, which is contradictory. Its nobility comes from the aura it gives off and these clothes.

She is wearing a black long sleeve top. Its sleeves are covered with golden embroidery. Her top has a square cut, which her cleavage reveals. She wraps her long, thick legs with black pants with touches of gold. A yellow pearl belt keeps her pants in place and highlights her slim waist. Her outfit is completed with a pair of heeled leather boots.

She cuts food in expert ways. Her gestures are precise and fast. She seems to be experimenting.

"Ah!"  hands wrap around her waist and pull her back. She meets a broad torso. An intense heat invades him. His heart accelerates slightly.

"Why did you do that? And I once told you not to pull myself into your arms when I have a knife in my hand. I can hurt myself."  The woman questions Saibus in a depressing tone.

Saibus brings his nose to her hair and inhales its scents.

"You smell lilac. You smell good, Yen. I know you don't like me to bother you when you cook, but it's stronger than me. When I see you like this, I only want one, hug you. Besides, you look so beautiful when you are irritated or angry. It gives me even more reason to tease or annoy you like that's it, "Saibus, in a soft voice, answers Yennefer.

'Fuu "Yennefer sighs a little.

"How can you be like that, so different than when you're on a mission?"  Yennefer asks Saibus a question.

"You know the reason why. You know that very well, don't you?"  Saibus turns Yennefer's face. The sorceress looks at the half-elf's emerald eyes and comes closer to him. Saibus does the same, and the two kiss slowly. Finally, yennefer turns to Saibus and puts his arms around his neck. She runs her hands through her smooth hair. The kiss of the two lovers becomes passionate and languid. Saibus runs his hands down from the waist to Yennefer's thick, full, tender buttocks. For five minutes, five minutes of desire and passion between two loved ones, five minutes of gentle molestation, a heat filled with lust takes possession of the bodies of Saibus and Yennefer.

Yennefer ends the kiss, much to Saibus's chagrin.  She cuts off the latter's face and establishes a deep gaze between them.

"I know why you're like this with me, and it fills me with choice. I know you do that, but you can't stop teasing me and rolling me. Of course, it is better to show it than to say it, but we both want to do the two tog, but we both want it in a soft, light voice while looking into her lover's eyes.

"I love you Yennefer / Saibus."  The two speak the desired words simultaneously with the same intensity and a crazy look in the eyes. The two kiss again but are interrupted by a hiss.

They look at the fire in the fireplace and see a copper saucepan from which steam escapes through a small hole.

"Come on, stop distracting me, and let me cook if you want to taste the delicious food that I cook with love,"  Yennefer says, patting Saibus on the shoulders.

"Got it, Yen, but we will continue tonight."  Saibus places a last kiss on Yennefer's full lips before letting the latter prepare the meal.

Yennefer and Saibus are seated around their living room tables, facing each other. They enjoy the meal that Yennefer has just finished. The meal consists of a poultry stew with several vegetables, including carrots, potatoes, and peas. Saibus eats the stew with white bread while Yennefer eats it with his wooden spoon.

"It's delicious, Yen."  Saibus compliments the Yennefer dish between bites.

"Thanks, Sai. I'm glad you like it."  Yennefer smiled at Saibus's comment.

"So, how was your day? Did you do any notable things?"  Saibus asks.

"Um, I worked on my magic and spent time with Grandma Hecate. A king from a small kingdom asked me to advise him on a few areas. Vault. And you?

"I will see if we can use them for one of our projects. I have nothing remarkable today. The advice to them was always that I take an apprentice, but I always refused. I also killed a band of bandits who used monsters to hide their tracks and ensure they didn't get caught. "

The romantic dinner continues with discussions on any subject interspersed with flirtation.

"By the way, what have you been doing with grandmother Hecate for two years?"  Saibus suddenly asks Yennefer.

"How's that?" Yennefer replies, stopping to eat.

"I often see you doing strange things together. For example, you spend much time in the bookstore and the smithy. I wonder what you've been doing all this time."

"We are experimenting with Isu magic and technology. We are trying to make the two coexist and many other things,"  said Yennefer.

"Is that good? Have you made any progress? I can help you if you like."

"Thanks, it's nice to suggest, but we both want to do it. Little progress here and there but nothing significant."  Yennefer thanks Saibus for his proposal but does not accept it.

"Saibus, I need your advice on a few things."  Yennefer starts a new conversation.

"On what subject ?"  Saibus asks.

"The leaders of the Brotherhood of Wizards want me to join the Council of Wizards, an association of five witches who run the Brotherhood and are just below the Chapter of Sorcerers, the prominent leaders of the Brotherhood.

"It may be good for you to be associated with other witches to acquire new magical knowledge. Also, you will influence the Brotherhood, which is beneficial for us. Of course, this decision is up to you but know. That as youThis are there for me, I will always support you and be ready to help you. "  Saibus gives his opinion on the proposal and reassures Yennefer.

"Thank you, I know I can count on you. I am thinking of accepting the seat on the Council."  Yennefer ends the conversation, and another topic comes to the table.

When dinner is over, Saibus stops Yennefer from doing the dishes.

"Leave it to me and sit by the fireplace. But don't do anything that takes time because I have a surprise for you after washing the dishes."

Yennefer, intrigued, leans over one of the kitchen counters.

"What a surprise! What did you prepare?"  Yennefer tries to get Saibus to talk about the surprise that awaits him.

Saibus smiles at Yennefer. "I will only tell you one thing. It can change lives."  After saying this clue about the surprise he has in store for her, Saibus takes up the dishes again.

Yennefer falls into these thoughts and tries to guess what Saibus has up to. She has several hypotheses, but none seems possible to her.

Yennefer has been on her mind for longer than she thought because Saibus has already finished washing the dishes and is standing in front of her looking at her.

"Have you been looking at me for a long time?"  asks Yennefer

"No,"  Saibus answers with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

"Well, a" Yennefer starts talking but is cut off by Saibus.

"Just ten minutes,"  Saibus says teasingly.

"Couldn't you have told me and not looked at me?"

"Yes, but I like to see you think about it, and you looked deeply lost in your thoughts. I didn't mean to interrupt you."

"Okay, so what do we do now?"

"Now I'm showing you your surprise, but before that, put this on."

Saibus then comes out of his back, a black fabric band.

Yennefer looks at him warily. "Fine, I'll blindfold myself. I'm relying on you to guide me."  Saibus goes behind Yennefer and blindfolds him.

"Hold my hands. I'll guide you."

Saibus takes Yennefer's gentle hands and guides her out of the bedroom.

"FUUUU" The sound of an activating gate makes Yennefer and Saibus stop.

"We're going to go through a portal. When you arrive, don't move. Trust me.

"Alright, I trust you."  Yennefer answers confidently in a Saibus.

Saibus helps Yennefer through the portal and follows her.

Saibus arrives in a forest and sees Yennefer two meters from him.

"I'm here."  He reassures Yennefer and takes his hands back. Yennefer holds Saibus's hands firmly and lets him guide her.

"Don't worry, we're right next door,"  Saibus tells Yennefer that she will soon be able to remove the blindfold.

"Stop."  Saibus stops Yennefer and stands behind her.

"Ready to see your surprise?"  Saibus asks.

Yennefer nods, causing Saibus to lower the blindfold.

Yennefer regains her sight and is dazzled by the company she discovers. She is in shock and gasps in surprise.

In front of her, an enchanted image comes to life. A waterfall pours down, creating a subdued purple light. Dozens of flowers light up in a deep purple. They dance with fireflies, making a captivating play of light.

Her childhood memories resurface in Yennefer's head, memories of playing with Saibus. She was making the most of the time she spent with Saibus. A young half-elf who saved her life and with whom she fell in love. A half-elf with whom she wants to spend her life.

"It's beautiful, Sai. It's just amazing."  Yennefer, incredulous at what Saibus has achieved, has no words.

"I did this for a special reason, Yen."

"What is this reason?"  Yennefer asks, contemplating the sight of falling water, lights ...

"This reason."  Saibus returns Yennefer to him.

"Yennefer, I met you while you were running away from a bear. I saved you, and we became friends. Then a feeling of love emerged between us. A sense that evolved into a passion. Passionate, powerful, and lasting love because even after being apart for more than five, we love each other just as much to see each other more.

"I want to develop this love. I want to live with you, to build my life with you."  Saibus then kneels and pulls out a tiny red chest.

Yennefer gasps and brings his right hand to his mouth, hiding his shock. Tears as if falling from her eyes, streaming down her pale cheeks and falling to the floor with some of her makeup.

"I love you, Yennefer, and I want to make you my wife. Yennefer Vengerberg, will you marry me?

(AN: sorry if the statement is wrong, I didn't know what to write.)

"Yes, yes, absolutely, I want it!"  Yennefer responds strongly and lets Saibus take his hand and put a ring on his left finger.

Yennefer looks at the beautiful ring Saibus put on him.

The wand is black with white crystals on it. Hearts are present on the side of the ring with an amethyst on it. The masterpiece of the ring is an amethyst carved into a seat.

Saibus then takes out another wand, this time in the shape of a mermaid with an emerald, and gives it to Yennefer to put it on him.

After looking at the ring, Yennefer pounces on Saibus, and a languid kiss ensues.
