Chapter 61: Newlyweds

The day after the wedding ceremony between Yennefer and Saibus, the two are alone. They are in their bedrooms, embracing and cuddling in the marital bed. They had just finished their wedding night and enjoyed each other's warmth. A ring shines on their left ring fingers, each of a different color, green for Saibus and purple for Yennefer. The two young people have not slept all night, preferring to consummate their union.

Being physically strong and possessing great magic, Saibus and Yennefer can go two or three days without sleep. Although Saibus can stay awake longer, mental fatigue appears after a week of constant wakefulness.

Sunlight streams through the thin curtains of the window, illuminating the room with subdued orange light. This light makes the two lovers react.

"Here, the sun is up. We might have to get up. What do you think?"  Saibus spots the increasing light in the room and asks Yennefer to get up.

"No, do not want."  Yennefer answers, pushing her body even more on Saibus's as if she wanted to merge with him.

Saibus sighs at his wife's response. He passes his right hand through his long black hair, its last scattered on the sheet and Saibus' chest.

"You know that even though we have nothing to do today, we still have to get up to shower, eat, and get dressed. So fulfill our daily needs." So Saibus said with the purrs of Yennefer, thanks to her caresses.

"I agree, but I'd rather stay with you in bed. I'd rather spend my day naked, feeling your warmth to warm me up. So we're staying here."  Yennefer replies, looking into Saibus' eyes with her beautiful amethyst eyes. Her eyes show a gentleness which, with her innocent expression, gives her an aura of kindness and the desire to protect her.

Saibus, unable to remain at his wife's expression for such a delicate matter as getting out of bed, decides to prove her right.

"Well, we can stay here, but until lunch."

Yennefer gives a happy, childish smile and then rests her head on Saibus' chest. She closes her eyes and is lulled by her husband's heartbeat. His breathing slowly drops, becoming a light breath of warm air that tickles Saibus slightly. The latter continues to rub Yennefer's head and hair. Saibus can see a smile of happiness creeping across his cute little face. He lays his Finally, head on the pillow and closes his eyes.

Knock Knock

The sound of glass being tapped echoes in the room. This noise wakes up Saibus, who opens his eyes a little haggard. He looks toward the origin of the noise in the room. He sees Regiis tapping the window. Seeing that Saibus noticed him, Regiis lets out a slight cry. Saibus understands Regiis' cry thanks to their bond and nods. Regiis then spreads his wings and begins flapping his wings, rising a few inches off the ground before taking off.

Saibus then decides to get up. He gently takes Yennefer to lay her on the bed. He pulls the sheet up over her soft skin to her neck, so she doesn't get cold and sick. He walks to the closet, opens it, and takes out an undergarment and black pa, black dark, redshirt. He slowly walks towards the door and closes it delicately, not wanting to wake up his sleeping beauty.

He was arriving in the first-floor corridor, the hall, the passage towards the staircase he descended. He sets foot on the ground floor, practically just an ample open space. The staircase is in the center of the room, and on the right, The dining room and the kitchen are a few centimeters from each other. Each part on the right of its three spaces and made of sorts to be comfortable and practical. Some furniture looks valuable because of its aesthetics. To the left is another library with sofas. The stairs are to the left of the staircase. Three wooden walls hide the stairs. Under the stairs, there is a small pantry.

Saibus walks into the living room, enters the kitchen, and opens a large metal box. The interior is cold. A terracotta jug comes out. He places it on the counter and takes a wooden glass. He pours the contents of the pitcher, which is milk. He puts the jug back in the metal box and the glass in a small box made of black wood with a small button. The inside of the box is covered with metal. He closes the box and presses the button.

Saibus comes out of the kitchen and walks towards the end of the room. He takes the house's back door and goes out into the garden. The garden is divided into four parts, a vegetable garden, laundry, relaxation, and teleportation. With the forest blocked from outside interference, Saibus and Yennefer can make a small kiosk with several portals. A portal to get to Eden, where Saibus has built a floor to take his old laboratory there. The second portal is blocked and connected to the room Saibus has in the League of Assassins. The last part is the abode of Regiis, who made his nest in the only tree in the area but is taller and more significant than the other trees.

It is towards this tree that Saibus is heading. At the bottom of the tree, he sees Regiis flying toward him with many feathers in his paws. He stretches out his hand, and Regiis lets go of the heap that floats in the wind. Saibus grabs a feather and looks at it.

"Where did you find it?"  Saibus asks, frowning.

"Kyak."  Regiis roared to answer the question.

"Can you take care of it?"  asks Saibus.

"Kyak Kyak."  Regiis flaps his wings showing his outrage at Saibus' question.

"Well, I'll leave it up to you then. You can do what you want with them but if you have any problems come right back, understand?"  Saibus orders Regiis.

The latter nods his head and flies off towards the forest. Saibus watches his companion walk away for a few seconds before returning to the house. Once inside, he goes to the small wooden box, opens it, and retrieves his glass, emitting slight smoke. Next, he takes bread in a tea towel with a jar of red jam. Finally, he puts everything on the dining room table and eats his meal.

Saibus hears the wood of the stairs creak. Raising his head, he sees the small white hand holding the railing of the stairs. Yennefer then goes up the stairs and strides towards the kitchen. Yennefer is dressed in black lace panties with one of Saibus' black shirts that she took as nightwear. She walks past Saibus and kisses him on the cheek.

"Hello, Sai,"  said Yennefer softly.

"Hello, Yen. Did you have a good rest?"  Saibus asks.

Yennefer enters the kitchen, opens the refrigerator, and takes a large salad bowl that contains a fruit salad.

"A little, but I would have preferred to stay in the warm bed with you, especially since we have nothing to do and just got married,"  says Yennefer, serving the fruit salad in a bowl.

"I know too, but you know that even if we have nothing to do, we still have to take care of household chores, like cleaning, vegetable garden, washing clothes,"  Saibus said.

"Yes, I know. You don't need to tell me."  Yennefer slams the refrigerator door. She takes her bowl and glass that contains orange juice.

Saibus watches Yennefer sit across from him. He caresses her cheek. "I know you don't like chores, nobody likes doing them, but they're mandatory. Besides, it's part of being a couple, doing them together."

Yennefer makes a soft purring sound, accepting Saibus' statement. The two then begin to eat quietly.

"After I take care of the vegetable garden, is there a plant or vegetable you want me to grow?"  The two's discussion quickly shifts to household chores to be done.

"Hum," Yennefer thought for a moment before giving her answer.

"Yes, there is another type of cabbage in the pantry. It is called Cavalier Cabbage. It is perfect and full of goodness. It is said to taste better than classic cabbage. So I tried to grow it. But, first, I'll make a cabbage and pork dish."

"Fine, I'll see what I can do,"  replies Saibus. The newlyweds continue their lunch, talking about everything and nothing.

Their lunch ends, and Yennefer and Saibus go in the shower and dress in casual clothes. After going to the garden, he took gloves and an apron to protect himself and not dirty his clothes.

He puts the sprouts in a bag, storing them in the pantry. He collects. Then, he seeds and goes to the location of the cabbage to plant the cauliflower. After that, he waters the vegetables in the garden, checks their growth, and picks ready vegetables like potatoes before planting new seeds. He places the vegetables in a different bag, ordering them and storing them in the pantry.

The vegetable garden took him a good two hours. Then, finally, at three o'clock in the afternoon, Saibus decides to go home but is interrupted by a cry of an eagle. He turns his head and sees Regiis returning with blood on his feathers. It lands close to Saibus.

Saibus approaches his companion and inspects him to see any injuries on Regiis.  Luckily, Regiis didn't suffer any injuries.

"Kyak Kyak."  Regiis lets out several cries, which make Saibus smile.

"Well, go wash up. I'll prepare a piece of beef for you as a reward,"  Saibus said.

Regiis flies away, and Saibus returns to the house. He sees Yennefer with several of their dry clothes in her hand. He goes into the kitchen, takes a take self, and places I,t on a plate before putting it on the window sill.

The rest of the day passes quickly for Yennefer and Saibus to do their chores. The sun had just set, and the husband and wife were in the dining room tasting the repay prepared by Yennefer.

"Your dish is perfect, Yen."

"Thank you, Sai. I tried a recipe given to me by Grandma Hécate. Its called Boeuf Bourguignon. I slowly cooked pieces of beef with mushrooms, red wine, bacon bits, and potatoes you picked today. I also added carrots and garlic and onions from the vegetable garden."

Yennefer explains to Saibus the recipe for the beef bourguignon they are enjoying. The meal ends with a piece of cake from the day before. The two enjoy their evenings with each other huddled by the fire. Yennefer climbs first, followed by a few minutes by Saibus.  Saibus puts the fire in the fireplace and goes to their marital bedroom. They are lying on the bed dressed in fine white lingerie in the bedroom. Yennefer l in the bedroom looks at Saibus with passion and sensuality.

"Well, let's consummate our marriage once again.
