Everyone instinctively moves out of the way as he walks. Well, no brainer. His tall figure and imposing physique has always made him appear the exact opposite of approachable to people, not that he minds. Stephen is 6’3’’, with a big build, and a deadly look on his face. And today, he’s out for business.
He makes his way to the room, room 101.
Everyone else is busy with the enrollment process that no one is really here at this part of the building. Good thing he came here early and managed to finish enrolling ahead. Well, not that it’s his purpose. It’s just something about that invitation unnerved him. He didn’t want to come, thinking it was just an elaborate prank. But this morning, he found himself getting up early and dressing up for the day. Before he knew it, he’s already made it to school. He even finished enrolling early and made his way to the destination early.
Whatever, he’ll just go and see what this ruckus is all about, he thinks to himself.
He finally arrives at the place, door 101 of Building D.
He reaches for the handle but stops midway. What if it’s nothing? Or what if it’s something? Who the hell sent that letter anyway?
Tsk, how annoying, he thinks to himself as he reaches for the handle, turning it and pushing the door inward.
Four pairs of eyes stare at him as he opened the door. A kid in glasses who’s at the farthest corner of the room, a small long-haired girl who looks like she belongs to an elementary class, a lanky guy reading a book, and tall woman holding an envelop.
That envelop…it’s the same one as the one he received. Don’t tell me these people were summoned here too, he thinks.
Who are these people? Why does he have to be in here with them? And in this room, no less. No doubt about it, this really is a prank.
Still, he enters the room. The rest of the occupants visibly grimace as he enters.
He takes a seat.
A few minutes later, someone else arrives. That famous chick who’s known for being pretty and rich, one of the high-class people from the center class.
“Oh? I have other people with me on this quest? How exciting!” she says with a giggle.
She too takes a seat, hopping and humming as she goes.
Next comes another boy chubbier lad with a round face.
The seven sit in the room in silence, anticipating who else will come.
And then she arrives, opening the door grandly, some books in her hands, a wide smile on her face.
She’s small, not as small as the elementary sized kid, but small. But there’s a certain aura around her as she smiles widely, merrily heading for the table set in front of the room, and aura that isn’t anything good. It’s like the smile of a child as she dismantles a doll, a devilish, maniacal smile.
She sets her books on the table and grandly turns towards the awaiting audience.
“Looks like we’re all here. That’s one thing done. Look at us, cooperating already!” she says happily, clapping her hands.
She’s met with silence.
Unfazed, she smiles wider, tilting her head.
“Now now, we’ll need more energy than that if we’re to get any job done. Come on! Get on with the spirit!” she declares chirpily.

A few seconds of silence. Then someone raises her hand.
“Yes, Miss Austria,” the girl in front declares.
Celestine Leah Austria, heir to a big conglomerate, most beautiful girl on campus, stands up. She smiles glamorously.
“Well, I’m all about getting in with the spirit. But…who exactly are you? And who are these people? And why are we here in this creepy room?” she asks.
The girl looks at Celestine, who she’s decided to call Celly for short. Then she turns to glance at everyone else in the room, only now noticing their blank stares and clueless faces.
“Uhhh, you guys don’t recognize each other?” she asks.
Everyone shakes their head.
“Wow, this might take much more work than anticipated,” she whispers to herself. Then she clears her throat. “Nevermind, we have a long time ahead of us for getting to know each other. For now I’ll introduce each of you. Stand up when I call your name and maybe do some cool tricks or something. Okay, here goes. Stephen Aldrich, peace officer.”
Nobody stands. Only blinking eyes.
“Hey, stand up, that was you I was talking about,” the girl says to the buff man.
He only looks at her, rolling his eyes.
“I said stand up.”
“I don’t take orders from anyone.”
“You take orders from me now.”
“Why?
“You’ll find out soon enough. Anyway, that meathead is Stephen, our peace officer, he’s here to bully the bullies into submission.
“Like I said, I don’t…”
“Wait, did you just say peace officer?” Celly says.
“I sure did,” the girl says.
“Is this what I think it is?” the other tall girl says.
“If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, it sure is,” the girl in front says with a smile.
“Holy shi……” the lanky guy starts to say.
“Shhhhh! That’s a no no word. We’re a Catholic school after all,” she says with a smile. “Anyway, let’s move on to the next one. We have a lot to discuss today,” she declares happily.
Although she may be smiling, she can already sense the panic brewing within each of her guests.
Never mind that, she thinks. I’ll whip them into submission soon enough.
