Thursday.

At the end of the school term, an ordinary boy suddenly called me. He said he was a messenger and informed me of the location of my fight with David, one of the five kings, Saturday.

Friday nothing important happened and Saturday finally arrived.

The fight will take place at 9 pm, so at 8:30 pm Blake and I arrived at the scene.

The place is in an old abandoned building. According to the information I received, years ago, a group of workers, were mysteriously killed.

After that, a rumor started that the building haunted by the ghosts of these workers, causing it to be abandoned.

Obviously, we irresponsible youngsters stormed the place and turned it into a fight club.

"There seems to be a lot of people." Blake said.

"Yes."

We hadn't gone inside yet, and even then it was possible to hear the voices of several people talking.

"Are you nervous?"

"No, I just want to get this over with and go home."

"Hmm."

"Lets go."

We entered the building, to find the exact location, we followed the sound of voices. The place is right in the middle of the building, and is lit by lamps. They were probably installed before the building wad abandoned.

If one of the bulbs burns out, just buy another one to replace it. Any high school student could change a light bulb.

Blake and I went to a corner to get away from the crowd. Compared to the day I was challenged by David, today there are many more people, about twice as many.

What is it? A party before the fight? Well, everyone is here to have fun watching idiots fight. And I'm one of those idiots.

A long time (Jay's perspective).

"Oh, how boring."

"How do we know the fight is going to start?"

"Well, there must be a presenter like last time."

"It is true…."

"Hi, hi, hello everyone." a repeated voice comes through the crowd.

"A presenter."

A boy using a microphone began to speak.

"Everyone here today came for a reason: Jay and David's fight for the fifth throne."

The audience screams excitedly.

"So, I'd like to call both fighters."

When called, I start to walk towards the presenter, Blake came right behind me. When I arrive, I notice that it has a kind of square stage made of cement, about the height of a curb.

Obviously, it was built before the work wad abandoned.

Next to the presenter, I see David. Then, I get on the 'stage'. When the presenter saw me, he smiled and said.

"During the fight, you can't get out of that square, if you get out or get thrown out, it's the opponent's victory. There are two other possibilities of victory, which is knockout or resignation."

"Okay, what about the kings? They're present?"

"Yes, all of them. They're scattered around."

I wanted to know their faces. So far, I only know Arthur's and David's. There's Liza's boyfriend (Childhood friend.), but I don't remember much of his face.

In short, there are three idiots left for me to meet.

"Hey Jay. Get ready, I'm going to slaughter you." David said.

To be honest, I highly doubt it.

The presenter left.

"Are both sides ready?"

I nodded in agreement, and so did David.

"So, let the fight begin."

……

(Blake POV.)

Today I felt something was different with Jay. He's always been a guy who shows few emotions and has a dark aura.

But today, I feel his aura is calm, and he has a relaxed expression on his face. I really do not understand.

He is present in the fight with one of the five kings and doesn't show the slightest concern.

"So, let the fight begin."

The first to close the gap was David.

David's fist goes towards Jay's face, which he dodges easily by leaning his body. David starts a series of several punches at Jay.

Jay, raising his arms, blocks the series of punches. Frustrated at having all the punches blocked, David tries to land a kick in the region of Jay's body.

However, Jay takes a simple step back, avoiding the kick that hits the air.

"Hey, you bastard, you're going to keep dodging. Fight like a man."

David, annoyed, screams.

At David's request, Jay takes the initiative and approaches his opponent.

David is surprised, because at that exact moment, Jay's fist was going towards his face and he wouldn't have time to block it.

Against everyone's expectations, Jay didn't punch David in the face. Instead, he changed the trajectory of his hand to David's chest and pushed him away.

Jay used one foot to kick David's heel. Joining the kick and the shove, David fell.

Everyone around was surprised, some even dropped the glass they were holding. It's a normal reaction, even I'm doubting my eyes.

I knew Jay was strong, but not strong enough to treat one of the five kings like an inexperienced rookie.

……

(POV Jay.)

I understand why David is considered one of the five kings. He has a very large wingspan and unusual physical strength when compared to the other students.

But, that's all. He doesn't have any technique, it's just good old physical strength, plus a fighter's instinct.

If I were a normal person, I would be easily defeated by him, but since I spent two years training with my grandfather, David doesn't measure up to me.

From the stories I've heard, my grandfather held one of the highest positions in the army and was known as 'The Demon General'.

Just by the nickname, you can tell that my grandfather was not a very good person. I found this out when I moved in with him and had to go through his hellish training.

I'm not at my grandfather's level, but these days I can put pressure on him when we fight. Knowing that, do you think I would suffer fighting David?

Compared to my grandfather, this guy is a kid who's barely been out of his diaper. I just haven't defeated him yet, because I want to kill his fighting spirit.

Because? For him to realize the huge difference between the two of us and not come after me for revenge.

Returning to the fight, I see David looking at me with frightened eyes. Well, it's normal. I knocked him down very easily.

"Hey, are you going to get up or not?"

David, hearing my words, got up quickly. At first glance, he had a grim face covered in sweat.

Wasting no more time, he tries to punch me in the face with his left hand. David is right-handed, so this punch is probably a trap.

Instead of dodging, I grabbed David's wrist with my right hand and braced my abs for the impact. In this position, the abdomen is the only place he can hit me.

Just as expected, David hits me. The blow was strong, causing pain. He tries to land another punch to my abdomen, but instead of letting him hit me, I release his left arm and move to the side.

When I moved to the side, I was some distance away from David. But, it was still possible to attack.

Then, I kicked him in the back of the knee. Upon receiving the impact, David staggered and fell to his knees on the floor.

Wasting no more time, I slapped David on the temple. For those who don't know, the temple is one of the pressure points on the head and when you hit it, it generates enormous pain.

So, let's get this over with. David, head down, unprotected, massaged his temple.

I stand in front of David, who, sensing my presence, raises his head. When he lifted his head, I kicked him full steam ahead. Blood flies from David's mouth, and he passes out.

"That's my victory."

.....

(Arthur's POV.)

I've always considered David a worthy opponent, a rival. We fought a few times, and I always had to give almost my all to win.

As one of the kings, I came to watch David and Jay fight today. I had some hope in this boy. Like David, I expected him to be someone who could entertain me.

Life has recently gotten boring. Blake's torture isn't as fun as it used to be.

After a long wait, the fight began.

No, this cannot be called a fight. That was a massacre.

Jay showed abnormal reflexes, dodging David's blows. And to top it off, he knocked out David with simple moves. It felt like everything had calculated.

Seeing David slaughtered before my eyes, I felt fear. After a long time, I was overcome by this feeling.

Like I said, there isn't much difference between me and David. If Jay defeated David so easily, I don't even want to imagine what it would be like for him to fight seriously.

That was the day I made the decision never to get in Jay's way.

…..

(POV ?????)

You've grown a lot, Jay. Who would have thought that that dark and hopeless boy would become this monster.

Looks like things are going to get interesting going forward.

I'll keep an eye out.
