Pitter, patter
Raindrops keep splatter
My heart's in shatter
I don't think I can do this any longer.
You were there walking while the rain washed your tears away. The wind hugged you which made you shiver while my eyes quivered. I stepped back.
This morning replayed—an acute flashback.
Where did you go wrong?
I want to know.
Watching your back walking further away from my sight, I selfishly run.
Each of my steps was inaudible to me. The water splashing meshed with my heart's rhythm.
All I hear is my ragged breathing. Now, it's my heart’s loud thumping as I halted in front of you.
Facing you made me want to lower my head and run away again. But is this what my heart yearns for?

No, I rarely tried to listen to my heart. I always choose the safe side.
But…
After all this time, I thought I was good. I thought I was realistic enough to continue just admiring you from afar.
Yet, I found myself unsatisfied.
I want to know.
I want to know badly that I’d take a risk.
Hey, I’m not strong. I’m timid. But I’ll be strong enough to give my umbrella to you.
Please take this shelter.
