Chapter 2: Starting

Out of the four elements i chose the fire nation. Being an air bender i thought it would be to awkward, since they were basically all dead. The earth nation was a bit to big and i didnt want to be stuck into a refugee situation. Finally the water nation was a decent choice but it had a randomness to it i didnt like. The north was basically the only good place for a water bender. So i had chose the fire nation for the ability to learn and develop a little more freely than the other nations. The side effect was obvious though, i woke up as a five year old in the fire nation schools. Apparently i overslept for class. Seems exactly like me.

From the memories i could recall, my father had died during the war and my mother was neglectful due to grief. I was a slacker in the school and the class clown. I wasn't sure what year it was but i heard some news about Zuko being 7 this year. The only other relevant memory was my name and the fact that i had learned how to fire bend this morning. I had wondered how i would my lion turtle gifts effect me. As i thought that though a classic staple of novels had appeared before me.

I was Stacked though all my abilities seemed low leveled except for the fire blessing, it seemed higher the level of blessing the more abilities i got from it. The question was how to increase them, especially the Chosen of the ancients it provided an amazing buff to my resistances at basic level. I assume i would have to complete the missions given to me or something. How the system was set up confused me though, what happened if i learned a sub bending or learned a certain fighting style like the sword training or chi blocking.

I went through the motions of gathering my school uniform and supplies, arriving late would be better than not arriving at all. I could use the excuse of setting something on fire since i apparently 'woke up' right after learning fire bending.

"Your Late, hurry and take a seat." The teacher had looked at me like i shit on the floor. Kind of felt like i did with how everyone stared. "I lit my front door on fire." She was a little surprised at first but  was relaxed quickly. "Just take your seat ill talk to you after class and we can get you started on your fire bending training." So i sat down and begun class, in my previous life i was relatively good at school but i was constantly tired due to staying up late for various things. I was sure i could preform well, i had an idea of what i wanted to do. I would join the military and try to get to a high ranking position to get a better grasp on bending techniques. Most sub bendings were created during or after The Last Airbender, but lightning bending was possible early on in the fire nation but only accessible to elite fire benders. So becoming a highly skilled  fire bender was necessary, so i would no doubt follow my sleepless nights just like my previous life.
