Inside a simple classroom, a sleeping student suddenly woke up and its eyes darted around, frantically looking around.

Increased heartbeat, increased blood flow, increased brain activity.

Richard, looked around, quickly and as carefully as possible without alerting anything.

Twice, thrice.

He didn't stop observing his surroundings as if there is something else that would immediately spring out of the empty room.

Finally confirming that there is nothing that would immediately kill him, only did Richard relax his body.

An influx of foreign memories then flooded his brain. The usual headache or pause didn't occur as he easily digested those things.

"This is already the 11th time, if I die again, then fuck it!"

Standing up, he gritted his teeth, collected the learning materials then headed straight home.

He couldn't help but remember how and why those deaths happened while walking.

Yes, this is his 11th life, and in all the previous ten lives, he died sadly and unexpectedly.

There is one time he died due to an assassin and not even a day has passed, or the time he passed away because of a sudden heart attack.

There are all sorts of ways he died, each death is different from before. The worst part is that the longest time he survived is a day, not knowing tomorrow came and a giant meteorite struck the planet, directly obliterating the place where he was into ashes.

Each death is sometimes abrupt or slow, but there is one consistency among all deaths, it is all painful.

Whoever said that being isekai'd is great and a blessing could suffer in his place.

Fortunately or unfortunately, each time he was killed, the souls of the body fuses with his original one, strengthening it. This is the reason why he could easily accept the massive information that he received.

Putting those all behind, his walking pace slowed down as he got out of the school grounds, checking the perimeter, guessing where the danger could come from.

"Is it a plane with inexplicable engine failure and crashing me into meat paste or a live wire some electricians were fixing, somehow got out of control then went straight for my head?"

Richard is afraid of death, and anyone would do so after experiencing 10 consecutive deaths. Rich imaginations of how he would die occupied his head as he cautiously went home. And even if he opened the door and went inside, Richard hasn't still calmed down, wondering if there is another surprise waiting for him the next day just like the one time a meteorite hit him.

Then something clicked in his head as Richard finally remembered a piece of information.

This world he transmigrated or isekai'd is somewhat special because of the existence of spiritual energy. A weird power that permeates every means of life. The energy that powers houses, the power that enables various vehicles, and even special materials born from spiritual energy that many sought after.

Most important of all, is the existence of spiritual users, people who can do a lot of bizarre things, even bordering the realm of miracles.

Destroying mountains, terraforming various landscapes, reattaching severed limbs, healing defective and failing organs, and even flying without an airplane. All this is possible with the help of spiritual energy alone.

But soon, another problem came up as he thought about it.

"No spiritual warriors or assassins would burst out here right?"

That worry was soon swept under the rug as another important info appeared in his mind.

He was an orphan because of a spiritual incident, which led to his parents dying early. And as compensation from the federal state, he was given free accommodation and free education up until he graduated high school.

The good thing is that the accommodation has a security force patrolling 24/7.

Still, Richard didn't fully feel safe yet as he did his daily routine while staying vigilant of any possible changes and the instinct honed after dying ten times.

Nothing drastic happened as the sun sunk and two moons rose on the horizon.

And as the night deepened, Richard didn't feel safer and was more paranoid about what could else come and kill him.

The night disappears and a scorching star comes back to bring sunshine to the lives on this planet while Richard was awake the whole period.

He was afraid that right after he closed his eyes and reopened them, another scenery would welcome him and another set of memories would be registered in his mind.

This paranoidness is all because of the unknown factors that could occur, resulting in another unjust death.

Another day soon turned into night and his bloodshot eyes calmly looked around his room, the eyelids jumping up and down, signifying his tired body.

But the exhaustion soon won over him as it was unknown when he finally closed his eyes and slumped down to the floor.

Nothing special happened that night and as Richard woke up abruptly, looked around, then ecstasy filled his body.

"Finally, finally, I didn't die!!! Hahahahahaha!"

Joyous laughter echoed in the small house, one that can be understood as being saved from the verge of dying.

His laughter continued and continued until he was satisfied. But soon that happy atmosphere evaporated as he carefully reviewed each memory fragment of the original body also called Richard.

His face turned ugly as he learned some terrifying knowledge.

Being capable of slicing a mountain in half or blowing a sea into nothingness is both nothing to scoff at and a measly achievement many could do.

The real scary thing is that there is another type of person that can top them, the true pinnacle force in this new world he just arrived. People who can summon avatars. Avatars that embody the whole spiritual power of the soul and body of a person, with many different and weird abilities and equally different and weird effects.

And people call them avatar users.

The true horror is that his understanding of these avatar users only comes from brief mentions in some old books which is unreliable as the prints can be manipulated easily by people in the past and a scene he couldn't forget ten years ago.

Only for him to shake his head because having an avatar is a symbol of one step toward being at the top already. But right now, he couldn't help but lament his situation as he recalled all things important to him.

Richard Eidhart, an orphan, 18 years old this year, is an average student at Riverside National High School. He is simply the representative of mediocrity, not only in grades but also in sociability and spiritual power.

Being ranked 49 out of 50 students in the class is an insult to the word average. It was more fitting to call him a failure as he has the second to the lowest amount of spiritual power in an entire class of fifty people.

Richard could only show a weary smile at these dire circumstances as he reviewed what is a spiritual power at all.
