And here Xiao Ya had not seen her parents for more than a year and she had almost lost their images even from her memories.
What kind of memories can a 2-year-old girl have of her parents when she was not even able to call someone properly.
Ye Qian felt bad for the little girl and sighed again in his heart.
'Only the little girl would know how much she must have cried all alone these days.'
Ye Qian muttered in his heart.
Yesterday after he placed his hand on her head, Ye Qian was able to sense the grief and desolation she had in her heart.
But more than that, there was her yearning for seeing her parents.
She had even forgotten their faces from her memories.
Ye Qian got near the bed and placed his hand lightly on Xiao Ya's head.
"Ummmm"
The little girl moved in her sleep after feeling his hand on her head but she also felt warm and hold his hand with her tiny hands.
Ye Qian lightly caressed her head and turned to the old man who had moisture in his eyes but was stopping himself from crying.
"Okay, you should wake her up, I will check on the customers."
He turned around before Ye Qian or Yuan Meng could see the tears in his eyes and rushed out of the room.
"I have got her bag ready, she has not done her homework till now, it's your responsibility to make her do it all."
A loud chuckle was heard from the stairs as the old man tried to hide his heartache.
__________
Meanwhile, in Xiao Ya's room.
Yuan Meng pursed her lips and shook her head.
It was not like she had not seen the old man's red eyes as he tried to rush out quickly.
She didn't know the reason so she could not console him anyhow.
Yuan Meng could only sigh as she walked to Ye Qian who still had his hand held by the little girl as she refused to leave it.
Yuan Meng extended her hand and caressed Xiao Ya's hair lightly.
"You know Mengmeng, she doesn't have parents."
A light mutter was heard as Yuan Meng was caressing Xiao Ya.
Yuan Meng's body shuddered as she turned to Ye Qian as her lips constantly parted and closed.
It seemed like she wanted to say something but she was not able to pull out a word from her throat.
Yuan Meng glanced at Xiao Ya and sighed.
She knew how much Little Qiqi would feel bad when she saw her friend's father's used to come to pick them up from Kindergartens.
But how could she phantom what Xiao Ya would be feeling after seeing other's coming to receive their parents?
'It is indeed true; one cannot measure how much grief one had in their heart unless you know them properly.'
Yuan Meng muttered while she picked up Xiao Ya and placed the little girl's head on her lap.
She felt that it was necessary for her to show some motherly love to this little girl more.
At least Little Qiqi had her, but this girl on her lap didn't even have that.
Yuan Meng's heart burst with love as she patted Xiao Ya.
"UMMMM"

A light smile appeared on Xiao Ya's lips as she left Ye Qian's hand had held onto Yuan Meng's.
A loving smile appeared on Yuan Meng's lips as her eyes were filled with tender love a mother would have for her child.
Ye Qian sat there while looking at Yuan Meng who was patting Xiao Ya's head lightly while the little girl was sleeping calmly on her lap.
The scene in front of Ye Qian was such that he didn't dare to disturb anyone of them.
He could see that Yuan Meng seemed a bit different now and her aura had also changed a bit.
Xiao Ya seemed to have the best sleep that she had not got for a long time as she would giggle and then hold Yuan Meng's hand again while holding it as close to her.
As if her life depended on it.
At first, Ye Qian had thought that Yuan Meng might get displeased with all this, but to his surprise, not only did Yuan Meng care for Xiao Ya, but it also felt that the two were mother and daughter pair.
And so Yuan Meng also forgot that she wanted to get back home just a while ago and was completely immersed in tending Xiao Ya.
"YYYYAAAAHHHHH"
No one knew how much time had passed as Ye Qian and Yuan Meng heard a muffled yawn.
Ye Qian smiled at Yuan Meng.
The little girl, Xiao Ya who was sleeping with her head on Yuan Meng's lap was yawning with her eyes fluttering.
"UMMM"
With her tiny hand, she rubbed her eyes and opened them lightly as she saw someone's face.
"Are you mom?"
As soon as she saw that it was a woman who had long hair and alluring dark brown eyes, Xiao Ya asked while she extended her hand and lightly touched Yuan Meng's face.
"Hmm."
Yuan Meng's smile brightened as she nodded and caressed Xiao Ya's cheeks.
Ye Qian who saw on the other side of the bed nodded in acknowledgement.
If Yuan Meng were to deny Xiao Ya's question, then it might have had a great impact on the little girl's heart.
But after some time Ye Qian sighed.
'This little girl had completely lost her parents even from her memories.'
"Really?"
A cheerful cry was heard as Xiao Ya jumped on the bed and quickly snuggled into Yuan Meng's embrace and looked at Yuan Meng's face.
"Yes."
Yuan Meng nodded and planted a kiss on the little girl's head.
"Yaayyyy"
The little girl cheered up and started to jump on the bed.
Ye Qian glanced at the room and saw a wall clock.
It was nearly about 3:30 now.
Ye Qian counted and was astonished to notice that it had been only 10 minutes since they entered the shop.
