An abandoned child whom no one wanted.

That was what she thought of herself as when no one cared for her.

But in that big mansion of the Yuan's, there were only 3 people who cared for her.

One was her Grandpa, her cousin Ji and her Aunt that was Ji's mother.

But though Yuan Meng felt that though her and Xiao Ya's situation was similar there were many differences.

Like at least Xiao Ya didn't have to suffer like her and that was what had kept her little child heart alive or Yuan Meng felt that things might have turned for the worse.

For a little child like Xiao Ya to undergo something that she had gone through was no less than going in hell.

And though Yuan Meng had lost her mother, she was quite old enough to understand certain things.

But not wanting some other pure soul to suffer from something that she had gone through, Yuan Meng wanted to make Xiao Ya happy and would do anything for that.

She didn't want someone just like her.

__________

Right now, Yuan Meng had made a small pony on Xiao Ya's head.

She had thought that since they were going to the party later on it would be a waste if she were to make a beautiful hairstyle and only to be dishevelled later on.

Though there was not much time, there were still like 3 hours till the party started.

And the girls were still small so they were bound to run and play all around the house for a while after doing their homework.

"Here."

Finally binding all the pony with a band Yuan Meng nodded at Xiao Ya.

Yuan Meng stood up and nodded at Ye Qian who was staring at the two all the time.

"Qian'er"

Noticing that Ye Qian was still staring at her Yuan Meng shook her head and waved her hand in front of him.

"Yes."

"Let's go, Qiqi must be waiting for us."

Yuan Meng shook her head at Ye Qian's absentmindedness.

"Hmm."

He nodded and then turned to Xiao Ya who was looking at them with confusion.

Ye Qian understood what it was and smile wryly at Yuan Meng.

Though the little girl had accepted Yuan Meng as her mother, it can't be the same for Ye Qian.

"Mengmeng, what are you going to tell her about us?"

Ye Qian whispered.

"Hmm."

"Leave that to me."

Yuan Meng nodded and glanced at the confused Xiao Ya and understood what Ye Qian meant.

It was indeed a bit tiresome for her to tell about Ye Qian now.

"Xiao Ya, come let's go you still have a lot of homework to do."

Saying that Yuan Meng was about to pick the cotton candy when she felt someone poke her arm.

She glanced around to see that it was Xiao Ya who was looking at her with puppy eyes and had extended her arms.

Yuan Meng smiled and nodded while she reached her hands and picked the little girl in her arms.

"Thank you, mommy."

Saying that the girl pecked Yuan Meng on her cheeks.

"Alright now, let's leave."

Yuan Meng had already helped Xiao Ya wear some warm clothes and shoes, so there was nothing left to do.

With that Yuan Meng walked out of the small room.

"Qian'er bring the cotton candies."

Ye Qian heard Yuan Meng's voice while she walked down the stairs.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian sighed as he picked up the packed candies while carefully closing the door and walking down the stairs.

__________

"Grandpa!"

Once the three arrived at the shop they saw that there were a couple of people who were buying the meat while the old man tended to them.

"Hey you little girl, you took long to come down."

The old man exclaimed with a loud chuckle and handed the change and the bag of meat to the customer.

"Hey Xiao Ya, how are you?"

The customer turned around and asked with a bright smile.

"Hehe, Uncle Bao, I am happy; see Mom came to meet me."

The little girl giggled innocently while packing her cheek on Yuan Meng's as she grinned.

"PAHHH"

The small bag in the man's hand fell on the ground as he stared at Yuan Meng and Xiao Ya.

Of course, he had been coming here for a long time and was like a good friend of the old man and knew about Xiao Ya's parents had an accident and they had left the world.

But the little girl's calling this woman as her mother shocked him.

That was not just for the customer, but the most shocked was the old man, Xiao Ya's grandfather.

The old only knew how much he tried to restrain himself after the little girl would ask about her mother to him and his wife.

They were already in despair ever since that accident took place and they were still not able to overcome it.

And with this little girl constantly asking for her parent's all the time, only made the old worn out couple. in the sorrow of losing their daughter.

The old man's hands started trembling as he stared at Yuan Meng with tears in his eyes.

Though he had only met this girl just now, he could feel how warm-hearted she was.

His eyes then landed on the little girl in Yuan Meng's hand and saw how happy she looked and her face was again filled with those cheerful smiles and giggles.

The last time he remembered when he saw his little granddaughter with such a bright smile was a year ago when they had celebrated her birthday and the old couple had said that her parents would be coming to meet her.

But after that, everything Xiao Ya smiled it seemed like the little girl didn't seem to be as happy.

'I am really thankful for the God above for making my little girl smile.'

The old man looked at Yuan Meng with his eyes filled with gratitude and blessing.

Noticing his look Yuan Meng shook her head with a smile.
