In the room, Ning Wei looked at Ye Qian with worry written all over her face.
"You... you are feeling alright right?"

Though she had determined in her heart that she didn't want to step in between Yuan Meng and Ye Qian, her heart couldn't help but ache when she thought about how much Ye Qian had done for her and now he was feeling unwell.
"Hmm."
But although his face looked a bit red, Ye Qian nodded but still turned his head sideways.
"Are you trying to hide it from me?"
Thinking that Ye Qian was trying to hide his illness from her, Ning Wei felt even more guilty as her voice turned serious.
She was about to stand up when she saw Ye Qian extending his hand and then placing his palm in front of his eyes.
She didn't understand until Ye Qian turned his face to her and then pointed his free hand towards her chair and said with a staggering voice.
"Umm, your...you need to sit properly."
At first, Ning Wei didn't quite understand what Ye Qian meant by what he had said to her.
But then she subconsciously glanced at the chair which she was sitting upon and couldn't help but jump in the air as if she had seen something shameful.
"You...you!
"Couldn't have said me about this before?"
Ning Wei barked at him with her back facing Ye Qian.
"PERVERT!"

"Mumma, where did Papa go?"
While lying on her mumma's lap, Little Qiqi asked as she fondled her mother's hair while combing her tiny fingers through it.
"Yes, Aunt Meng, where is Papa."
"He promised to me and Qiqi that he will continue telling us the story."

Little Jia who was also resting her head on Yuan Meng's lap said with a small pout on her lips.
If Ning Wei was here, then she might have found it hard to digest that her daughter also knew how to be annoyed with something.
This might have been the first time that she had seen her daughter pouting in such an adorable manner.

Of course, usually, Little Jia would always be sensible and act mature, which of course worried her mother, Ning Wei.
And it was because no parent would want their child to mature in such a manner.
And Ning Wei and Yuan Meng both had the same thinking in this, of course, they would want their children to be smart and thoughtful but not lose their innocent behaviour which was what made one's childhood more memorable and worth happiness.
Yuan Meng seemed to not have found this any unusual as she caressed both the girl's cheeks and then asked while raising her brows high.
"Ohh, now you two, tell me what kind of sorry did your Papa tell you about."
"Hehe, does Mumma really want to hear what Papa told us?"
Little Qiqi grinned while poking her tongue out while asking.
"Hmm."
Seeing the sweet look on her daughter's face, Yuan Meng couldn't help but feel refreshed.

'No matter how much stressful it is at the work, seeing my child so happy makes me feel lively and energetic.'
She nodded but the little girl's reply made her want to cry.
"Then Mumma will have to give Qiqi something."
Saying that the little girl extended her tiny hand at her Mother with a cheeky smile.
"Qiqi, you have got naughty, now you even want to have in exchange for telling a story to your Mumma?"
Yuan Meng chuckled and pinched the little girl's nose giving a light pat on her bum.
"Hehe, didn't Mumma want Qiqi to be like this?"
The little girl shook her bum on the bed and grinned trying to avoid her mother's light beatings.
Hearing the little girl's words, Yuan Meng's face couldn't help but change as she sighed.
"Of course, dear, no mother would want to see her child acting like an adult."

Yuan Meng ran her hand on her daughter's face and did the same to Jia while giving a light peck on both of their heads.
But as soon as she had pecked Little Jia, the little girl couldn't help but feel sorry for her aunt.
"Aunt Meng, don't feel sad, Qiqi and I will always be like this, we won't be acting like adults now."
The little girl sat next to her and then rubbed the tears which were falling from her aunt's eyes.
"I know sweetheart."
Yuan Meng nodded with a gentle smile that appeared on her lips as she muttered.
'No mother would want their child to act mature, but you didn't have the chance to even see me.'
'Mom!'
A few more tears couldn't help but run down her cheeks as a vague figure of a woman lying on her bed with her body completely turned pale and all of her veins were visible appeared in her mind.
The woman appeared sickly, but there was something which gave one a feeling that she was not any simple person like anyone else.
Or rather she was a fairy who had appeared in this mortal world.
And this all was to say not just because of her beauty, but other things as well.
Her aura was sharp and profound as if she had a mysterious power in her giving one want to bow down to her and worship her.
But right now, the woman couldn't look any more pitiful.

All the veins on her body were visible to anyone with their naked eyes.
But there was something different in her veins which were far different from any other normal human.
And that was because her veins seemed to be glowing with a green glow every now and then.

If anyone was here then they might definitely think that it was magical or supernatural.
And of course, it was something which was out of any human's imagination.
The veins would tremble every now and then and like fireflies, sometimes they would glow.
And it would happen whenever the woman would breathe in or breath out.
