Chapter 483: Conflict (Part 1)

The four demons could not smile. Any male that came across such a matter would not be able to smile.

Nailisi tried again and again, but the four demons still looked sad. She said helplessly, “All of you, think about the good side. I turned all of you into such to avoid the humans discovering your identities. It has been a while since any demons appeared in this dimension. Once there are any human that discovered that you are demons, you will be captured for experimentation or killed. That is the alternative.”

The four demons’ eyes were welled up with tears when they looked at Nailisi.

“I’ll ask my master to make you magic blood agent. How about that?”

The four demons’ eyes were suddenly brightened. Magic blood agent was very precious in the demon dimension, it could help demons evolve. Material for such agent was not expensive, but the rate of success to make it was very low. There were very few that were good at medicament and at the same time good at magic. Only the King of the strong demons had such a talents to make the agent.

“If you are still dissatisfied, I will look for humans to rape all of you!” Nailisi was impatient.

“Master, we are very happy with this.” The fourth demon said. Although they smiled, it was forced. They did not continue to tear up though.

“That’s right. We do not have enough material now.” Nailisi looked at the summoning magic array that had almost disappeared in annoyance. That summoning array that was interdimensional expended mostly high level magic nuclei. There were limited high level magic nuclei in Saleen’s hands and he was saving them to be used when he became a sorcerer. Nailisi used some of them in secret, she wondered if Saleen would be angry.

There were many cracks on the ground and wall of the temple. When the few demons were fighting, the mess that they had caused was not small. Nailisi did not know recovery magic, but she could take out a low level magic scroll and release a Cleaning spell to clean all the blood stains and remains off the magic array.

“The four of you must have human names. You, the strongest, will be called Tracy.” Nailisi pointed at the demon with the earring. It was the strongest among all four demons.

The other three demons were going to laugh, but Nailisi already pointed at each and everyone of them and gave them a name.

The demon who was good at using weapons was Lola, the fat demon was called Trisha and the powerful demon was called Eva. The three demon then realized that under Nailisi, their fate would be the same.

Nailisi took out four sets of women’s clothes and made the four demon put them on. Although the four demons were not happy to wear women’s clothing it was better than being naked. Nailisi kept their armor and weapon and started to prepare for the next step.

Saleen was taking a break in the hall as he had nothing better to do. After bringing Eleanor under control, he seized the oportunity to learn holy prose while Lex built a temporary transportation portal to send a copy of the date over to Metatrin City. That way the mages in Metatrin could proceed with calculation of the next temple’s coordinates.

Nailisi asked for a hall, but Saleen had no idea what she was planning to do with it. He was the only one that could hear the noises in the hall. He thought Nailisi evolved some kind of skill and was in training.

Three days time passed in a blink of an eye. Bifano searched through the entire temple, but he did not manage to find the secret that the marquis had left behind.

That made him panic. If there was not a secret skill to train magic and fighting skill simultaneously, he would be a sword master that had no future. The soldiers under his control persuaded him, “Master, the pink army’s leader was caught by the mage. I think, what you’re looking for is with her. Why don’t we ask for…”

Bifano replied grumpily, “That pathway has been closed. I have yet to find the keys to open the pathway. If I were to take action and if they were to give their all, the key would be ruined and none of us could even leave.”

When Bifano spoke, he wanted to slap his own mouth. If he would sacrifice a few hundred soldiers, he still could capture Eleanor. The key to unlock the pathway was definitely in Eleanor’s hands. Now that it was taken by Saleen, the temple was not considered his anymore.

If he were to go against Lex, it equalled to trapping himself in the temple. The temple was not too shabby and it could contain ten-thousand people without cramping up the place. It could also store large amounts of food, gold coins, machinery, and clean drinking water. The problem was, how could he leave if he did not have the key?

In the middle of the temple, Eleanor was communicating with Saleen through holy prose.

“I realized that when your name is read in holy prose, it seems to be more suitable. Is it that you have a god’s bloodline?” Saleen asked Eleanor curiously.

“Of course not. The earliest era for gods had no words and everything was passed down relying on memory entirely.”

“You are not a human, are you?” Saleen asked casually.

Eleanor hesitated then nodded. Saleen’s female servant could tell that she used the shapeshifting skill with one glance. She might have the power to recover her original appearance too. She realized that it was easier to communicate with Saleen as long as she did not try to lie to him.

“What is the temple’s key?”

Eleanor took out a ring from her mouth. Saleen recognized it in an instant. It was one of the Ring of Gifts that the Goddess made long ago, but the level of her ring might not be as high as the one he had. The inner side of the ring had no holy prose carvings and the one that he gave to Sika had twenty four verses of holy prose carved in the inner side of the ring. It could form four sets of Divinity spells and semi Divinity spells.

Saleen took over Eleanor’s Ring of Gifts and said, “I can’t give this back to you. If we want to leave here, we have to pass this to Bifano.”

Eleanor said lightly, “My life is in your hands, what do I need this ring for?”

Saleen smiled and said, “You teach me the way to swallow the ring and I’ll give you equipment as compensation.”

The Ring of Gifts itself had spatial ability, Eleanor’s level could use spatial equipment too. The Ring of Gifts besides could be used as a key to enter the temple, it had no other powers. Saleen gave her a spatial equipment naturally considered as equal compensation.

Eleanor was stunned as she did not expect Saleen was an easy person to talk to. She then said, “This is a power of my bloodline. You are not of my tribe, you won’t be able to learn this.”

“Then, forget it.” Saleen kept her Ring of Gifts and took out a spatial bracelet. “This is for you. Your things were taken away by Nailisi and I won’t be able to ask them back. You try to teach me more things, I will pay my tuition fees.”

“If you help me to kill Bifano, I’ll tell you another temple’s location.” Eleanor took over the bracelet and suddenly stated her demand.

“You must be kidding. He has five-thousand soldiers and we have less than twenty of us.” Saleen seemed like he would reject Eleanor, but what he actually meant was that “I can’t win against him now. If I could, it would be a great deal.”

“Kill him, I am willing to pay an equivalent price!” Eleanor understood what Saleen meant and obviously one temple’s location did not move Saleen.

“Then you have to tell me what tribe you are.”

Eleanor kept quiet while Saleen looked at her attentively. There was nothing that could be presumed from his expression.

“Why do you want to know?” Eleanor asked.

“I am a little curious. Regarding the fall of this place, I am partially responsible too. Why do you hate Bifano so much over me?”

“Without you, he would still attack here. Of course you knew that he was well prepared and extremely familiar with the landforms in the swamp. Between you and him, there was only a hiring relationship. If it wasn’t for Bifano, my family wouldn’t have died here.” Eleanor sounded as calm as Saleen, but Saleen knew that she hated Bifano to his bones.

“Mm, understandable. Killing him is a troublesome matter though. I am only interested in your tribe’s special skills. About magic, what you can teach me is very limited.”

Saleen had been learning holy prose from Eleanor for three days and they communicated a lot. He roughly knew the level of the female mage. Eleanor knew a lot of thugs and Saleen did not know anything but magic, Saleen’s skills were way past Eleanor in magic.

Eleanor took a glance at Sika who was not far away, she was learning fighting skills from Jola. Her fighting skill was comparably more coarse. If she was not supported by her strength, she would never be Jola’s match.

“Jola is my follower. Sika, is the one I trust the most.” Saleen told Eleanor.

“I came from the elf dimension.” Eleanor said as she observed Saleen’s expression.

“Oh.” Saleen nodded. It was close to what he had guessed. Back during the time when humans and gods fought, every dimension was tightly knitted. The elf dimension was once the human’s allies. In the end, elves betrayed humans. When the time passed, humans could not find an elf that was alive. The legend said the elf dimension was destroyed by God and there were rumors that said the dimension was transformed by God and could not be entered anymore.

“I can teach you elf magic, it is naturally a branch of magic. It is very similar to the Goddess of Myers’ Divinity spells.”

“Branch? Is it that the Goddess had believers in the elf dimension too?”

“Yes, the goddess of Myers was not only a god on this mainland.”

Saleen thought this through thoroughly. He heard that the elves’ lifespans were very long and the natural magic that Eleanor knew did not require magic chords, but mental power. This was an alright deal but…..”

“Eleanor, it’s difficult to kill Bifano now. Do you need a deadline?”

Saleen had made up his mind. If it succeeded, he could return in secret after he left Holy Rock city. He could enter the temple as he wished and it would not be difficult for him to frame Bifano.

“I’m in no hurry. Whenever you kill Bifano, I’ll pass you the natural magic.”

There was a sudden noise from outside. Saleen eye signalled Jola and Jola went to the hall. He returned after a while and told Saleen, “Master, Bifano has some soldiers missing.”

“Missing?” Saleen felt suspicious. The space in the temple was fully enclosed, it could possibly be thousands of meters deep in the ground. In such an enclosed space, how could there be someone missing?

“Master, those soldiers wanted to search here.” Jola reminded Saleen. The noise outside earlier was because Bifano’s soldiers and Lex’s swordmaster had some conflict and there were a few people that were injured by Wild Bear.
