With Gu Mengmeng’s abilities, Lea could not hold her in his arms if she really wanted to escape.
Sighing, Gu Mengmeng gave up on struggling and let Lea hugged her so tightly as if he wanted to rub her into his body and become one.
“I won’t struggle anymore. So ,say, what’s with the name Ah Ya?”
Lea felt Gu Mengmeng’s submission so his mind was not that messed up. He tried to reduce his strength a little and seeing how she did not push him away, he put his heart at ease and heaved a deep sigh of relief before replying slowly, “Miranda is my Father’s concubine….back then, I was on her bed when Cole maligned me.”
Gu Mengmeng felt that she was struck by lightning, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside…
Noticing Gu Mengmeng’s abnormality, Lea was rather helpless as he said, “Anyone in this world can misunderstand me, it’s fine no matter how unbearable they describe me as. You’re the only person who can’t misunderstand me, Mengmeng, you said that you believe me. Nothing happened between Miranda and I, I’m really innocent…”
Gu Mengmeng hesitated for a while but still eventually stretched her hand out to place it on Lea’s back gently, saying, “I know, I believe you. Your mating mark is on my left ear, it’s obvious that you’re innocent.”
Upon hearing this, Lea nodded his head firmly. He kissed Gu Mengmeng’s left ear, and Gu Mengmeng could feel his lips and even his breathing quivering.
With relief, as if he had survived a disaster, Lea then dared to release Gu Mengmeng slightly. He placed both hands on her shoulders, increasing the distance between them to look at Gu Mengmeng’s expression secretly.
Yes, since Miranda’s appearance, Lea had been hugging Gu Mengmeng in his arms tightly and did not dare to look at her face because he was scared to find detest, hatred, suspicion and doubt on her.

“Luckily, you believe me….” This sentence of Lea was said in utmost helplessness.
Gu Mengmeng lifted her head to look at Lea and said, “I believe that you’re innocent and even if something happened between you and Miranda back then, I’ll also believe that you were not willing to do so and you were maligned by Cole. I won’t blame you for what Cole did, after all, you’re a victim too.”
“Nothing happened, there was really nothing.” Lea explained anxiously.
Gu Mengmeng nodded and said, “Yeah, I said I believe you.”
Lea clamped his lips, cautiousness written in his eyes. Miranda’s incident was the greatest stain in his life, no matter whether something happened, no matter whether he was set up by Cole, he appeared on a female’s bed before and he was guilty of a crime which even death could not atone. He was deadly afraid that Gu Mengmeng would mind his past and was deadly afraid that Gu Mengmeng would abandon him because of this so when Miranda made her appearance, he froze on the spot.
Lea asked, “Then, why aren’t you smiling? You….”
Gu Mengmeng sighed, she really could not bring herself to smile.
In the past, she did not understand why Lea called her Mengmeng, why Elvis called her Xiao Meng and why Snakel called her Twomeng. After inheriting Snakel’s memories, she realized that title had a special meaning in the Beast World. A female could have many partners, thus, it was impossible for them to get a perfect romance so they wanted a perfect title.
It was deceiving oneself and others but it was considered a comfort to their souls.
Just like how people who had no special relationship with her calling her Great Messenger or Gu Mengmeng so Gu Mengmeng was the Messenger of the Beast Deity that belonged to the entire Beast World.
And Xiao Meng was Xiao Meng that belonged to only Elvis.
Mengmeng was Mengmeng that belonged to only Lea.
