When Luo Ke hung up her call, her mind played Lin Sifei’s pouting tone to her on repeat. She couldn’t help but laugh, even feeling that the coffee in her cup became sweeter.
Special Assistant Lin looked at her, and then bowed his head again, quickly typing words on his phone.
[Special Assistant Lin: Oh no oh no, Chair Luo must’ve stayed up so late that she is not in her right mind right now, she’s even laughing out loud. Do you think her facial nerves have some type of issue.]
He sent the message to Zhao Min, and then again glanced at Luo Ke, afraid that his boss would suddenly roll her eyes back and lose consciousness.
[Zhao Min: What are you thinking about, I think it’s because our Chair Luo has fallen in love {coveredsmile.jpg}]
Special Assistant Lin frowned, in love? But the person she was calling was also a female, right?
His eyes blew open when he reached this conclusion, [Is Chair Luo lesbian?]
But when he had just pressed send he immediately shook his head and recalled the message, [I think you’re reading into it too much.]
Although Chair Luo had not started dating, a lot of males had attempted to woo her in the past, and she had been arranged to go on blind dates before, but she had never mentioned that she liked girls. According to his boss’s personality, if she liked girls before, she would never have gone on blind dates with men.
As Special Assistant Lin persuaded himself, he nodded forcefully.
“What issue has captured your attention so much?”
When Special Assistant Lin heard Luo Ke’s voice, his hands immediately zoomed to his back and he sat up straight, “Chair Luo!”
Luo Ke reached her hand out, “Since you’re so nervous, you and Zhao Min must be gossiping about me behind my back. Give me your phone.”
Special Assistant Lin made a bitter expression, “Chair Luo, we really didn’t gossip about you, really.”
“If you give it to me now, I can still not deduct your bonus.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Special Assistant Lin’s phone was in her hands.
Luo Ke raised an eyebrow slightly, “Don’t worry, I won’t look at your private stuff,” she assured.
As she picked up the phone, she saw that the app had not been closed, and was still on the messaging page with Zhao Min. At first glance, Luo Ke saw Zhao Min’s guess that she had fallen in love, and right at this moment, the phone vibrated twice again. Zhao Min had sent two more messages.
[Zhao Min: Don’t recall your message! I really think Chair Luo has fallen in love. I met that Lin Sifei, she really does look stellar. Her skin is so white, like snow, and her lips are so pretty and red. Her eyes are so big too, I felt like if she looked at me, my heart would break or something.
[Zhao Min: No wonder Chair Luo likes her, although, who wouldn’t like a girl like her.]
Special Assistant Lin cringed while looking at his phone, wanting to die, and covered up his face. Zhao Min was orchestrating her own downfall.
As Luo Ke looked at the phone screen, she also recalled Lin Sifei’s facial features: her eyebrows, eyes, lips, and her long neck, pale back. Her waist is so skinny, like two hands could wrap around it, and then lower…
When the phone vibrated again, Luo Ke came back to reality. When she realized what she had previously been thinking about, she rubbed at her temples embarrasedly.
She looked at the phone again, where Zhao Min was still seeking her own downfall.
[Zhao Min: She really is pretty, and like it’s not a normal type of pretty. It’s one with recognizability and a special aura. You know, I think I like her too!]
When Luo Ke saw her gif of someone salivating, she felt her heart become uncomfortable.
She switched to the audio input and stated coldly into the phone, “You aren’t in the right attitude and are slacking off at work, so you can not have your bonus this month.”
As soon as she sent it, Zhao Min immediately reacted and hurriedly sent an apology audio back. Luo Ke, with a serious face, listened to her apology, and then threw the phone back to Special Assistant Lin and walked out of the company building quickly.
She needed to go back to the hotel and take a nap to recharge. The earlier she finished dealing with this stuff, the faster she could go back.

Lin Sifei, having gotten the lock password, excitedly went home. When she got home, she immediately went to the bedroom, where she found a sticky note underneath the bed.
Luo Ke’s words on the paper were very organized and pretty, in slight contrast with her appearance and expressions. But Lin Sifei knew that Luo Ke was very gentle, so it seemed like her teachers were right, since they all said that a person’s words reflect their personality.
The sticky note had all of the information about Luo Ke’s sudden business trip: the country and city, as well as the dates. Luo Ke also implored her to not run around randomly and just wait for Zhao Min. Every sentence had a little hollow period behind it, each circle completed with care and focus.
Lin Sifei hummed satisfactorily, and found her little tin container from her bedside cabinet, and put the little note. She paused for a bit when she saw another item inside, though, and took her old cat collar out, looking at the engraved “Luo” character on the golden tag.
“Gold on red, I guess she just likes this.” Lin Sifei pouted and rolled her eyes, and put the collar back.
When she stood up and looked around the empty room, Lin Sifei suddenly felt that she was unused to the silence. She glanced at the time, since Zhao Min would probably only pick her up after work.
Reluctantly, she started packing some things. She needed her phone, and just in case, she brought a change of clothes, but she didn’t seem to need anything else.
Aunt Wu had made lunch before she had left, so after scarfing down lunch, she contacted the director of the movie, asking about any casting developments. In the end, Director Chen set a date for her to go to the set and overlook casting.
Lin Sifei heard a slight condescending tone from his voice. From his decision to let her watch the casting process, although it seemed like a nice offer, to Lin Sifei, it seemed like Director Chen’s plan to knock her down a peg.
“Director Chen, don’t worry, I will be there promptly,” Lin Sifei smiled as she cut off the video call.
After watching Director Chen’s face disappear in front of her, Lin Sifei pursed her lips. Yes, technically she did get her role through connections, so it was expected that Director Chen looked down upon her somewhat, but she really didn’t want to put up with it much more, so she killed the video call and decided to let the director fume about it.
She did believe that Director Chen would be won over by her acting skills. Or even if he wasn’t won over, as long as the movie did well, it would be all fine.
She took out her cat carrier and checked the time. It had been more than 7 hours, so it did seem like if she turned into a cat it would also recharge her time limit as a human.
She tucked the clothes into the very bottom of her cat carrier bag, turned into a cat and leaped onto the sofa.
She peered at her phone again. Luo Ke had not sent a message to her, so she’s probably sleeping as she left in the middle of the night. According to those in the company, she left last night, went to the company for a brief, and then boarded a plane, so she probably didn’t even rest well on the plane.
After pondering it a little more, Lin Sifei didn’t send a message to her. Luo Ke had really shallow sleep, so she woke up to every sound. Lin Sifei didn’t want to disturb her rest time.
So, she opened the notes app on her phone and noted all of her form changes.
She could only be human for a total maximum of 12 hours, so if she used up all 12 hours, she would be forced to turn back to a cat to recharge. During this recharging time, she couldn’t turn back, and even when she finished recharging she needed Luo Ke’s kiss to turn back into a human. However, if she didn’t finish the 12 hours, then she could change forms as much as she wanted, and in fact still recharge while she was a cat. If she turned into a human for 11 hours, and then to a cat for three hours, and then back to a human, she could add these three hours onto the hour remaining.
She scratched her hair, saved the note, and decided to send it when Luo Ke woke up.
“Bee—” It was the sound of the lock on the front door.
Lin Sifei hurriedly turned into her cat form, escaped her clothes, and layed on the sofa, looking at Zhao Min obediently.
After Zhao Min closed the door and raised her head, she saw Lin Sifei. Immediately, she gave her a smile, “little kitty~”
Lin Sifei felt the corner of her lip twitch as she immediately jumped up onto the back of the sofa and onto her cat climbing structure. Where did this pervert come from!
Zhao Min coughed awkwardly, and stepped forward a little, stretching her hand out, “Xiaoxiao, do you not remember me? We met in the company two days earlier?”
Upon seeing her careful form, Lin Sifei rolled her eyes. She finally knew that she had scared the cat, geez, wasn’t she also a cat lover.
When Zhao Min had tried to woo her for a while, Lin Sifei decided to be nice and lifted her feet to jump back to the sofa and run into her own cat bag.
Zhao Min’s eyes flew open, surprised and happy, but she did control her reaction a little this time. She carefully and smoothly hitched the cat carrier up to her shoulders.
Lin Sifei, in the carrier, used her claws to open her phone, where she saw Luo Ke’s message. Happily, she also sent her notes regarding her form changing.
Luo Ke replied with a head pat emoji, and then, [Has Zhao Min gone to pick you up?]
[Feifei: In the carrier right now.]
Lin Sifei stood her phone up against the mesh of the carrier, photographing the outside world for Luo Ke.
[Luo Ke: If you are uncomfortable or anything just contact me, I’ll have her put you in a little private room, so you can become a human at night.]
Lin Sifei covered her mouth to laugh, at least she is being caring.
[I’ll just live there for a night, I probably will be back tomorrow.]
