Chapter 26: Chapter 026- Black Zetsu

Black Zetsu is leisurely coming toward Hashirama and Sarutobi without much of a precaution. Because of his special chakra nature, he is quite confident in his hiding skill. As long as he doesn't show himself, nobody would be able to directly pinpoint his location.

 

Maybe someone like Hashirama can feel his presence if he gets too close but as long as he remains at a safe distance, nobody would be able to even guess that he is here.

 

But today Black Zetsu's ego took a big hurt. Not only was he discovered by the fellow named Sarutobi Hiruzen, he got trapped in a seal as well.

 

"How did you even manage to discover me? Nobody in this ninja world should be able to discover my location unless you are already at that level!" Black Zetsu asked with some fear in his voice.

 

'I was quite sure that Sarutobi has yet to reach the level of Hagoromo. Then why can he discover me? It isn't logical at all.'

 

"I have no reason to tell you about my secrets unless you choose to work for me. If you do choose to do that, it would bring you more benefit than manipulating Madara Uchiha to carry out your goal."

 

Black Zetsu's eyes shrank as he heard those words.

 

"How do you know?" He asked in a panicked manner.

 

"What? Madara is being manipulated by this black thing?" Hashirama in the side was also shocked after hearing Sarutobi's words.

 

Sarutobi ignored Hashirama for the time being as he replied to Black Zetsu, "It doesn't matter how I know it. Tell me about the location of Madara, then we can discuss about what else I know about your so-called plan."

 

Black Zetsu took his time thinking before finally pointing at a direction as he said, "Madara is hiding in that direction."

 

Nodding at Black Zetsu's words, Sarutobi looked at Hashirama and said, "Hashirama senpai, I will trouble you to look for Madara."

 

"Ok." Hashirama didn't mind being excluded from the secret talk between Sarutobi and Black Zetsu. Instead, it can be seen from his looks that he is very much looking forward to meeting his old friend.

 

After sending Hashirama away, Sarutobi quickly cast a fuinjutsu barrier to prevent eavesdropping. After talking necessary preventive measures, he looked at Black Zetsu trapped in the seal and said, "It seems you are very eager to know about what else I have managed to grasp about your plan."

 

"Then let me tell you. I not only know that you are manipulating Madara right now,  I know that you even manipulated the whole ninja world for a long period of time to fulfill your goal. Not to mention, you somehow even managed to sneak into the naka shrine to change the words left by the sage of six paths."

 

"I must give you some credits, you know.  The way you managed to hide form the Sage of six paths to carry out the plan of resurrecting your mother is quite remarkable. You are truly a filial child unlike your brothers who sealed her." Sarutobi said as he kept looking at Black Zetsu's expression.

The more Sarutobi talked, the uglier Black Zetsu's face became. When Sarutobi finished his sentence, Black Zetsu became totally lifeless as he thought, 'I never thought all might plan would be exposed to someone with such a details. Now what do I do? Even though he has yet to reach a level where he could kill me, if he seals me somewhere hidden, only God knows how long it would take me to get out of that seal and free my mother.'

 

"You don't have to be so sad; you know. As long as you agree to work under me, I can help you with resurrecting your mother." Sarutobi said.

 

"Really?" Black Zetsu regained some hope in his eyes.

 

"Yes. I have no problem freeing your mother from the seal as long as you do some work for me. But the process of how your mother is going to be free will be up to me. If I ever found out that you are doing something behind my back, you can say goodbye to the wish of your mother ever being free." Sarutobi said while looking at every expression on Black Zetsu's face.

 

'It seems he is going to accept the offer. But the problem is I can't ensure he will never have other ideas in his head. Just to be safe I should imprint one of my curse seals in him. If he doesn't agree then I would have no choice but to seal him.'

 

Sarutobi has a variation of curse seals which can be used to transfer any kind of ill intention the seal bearer has toward the caster. This seal also has the tracking system and his hiraishin mark. So, in case Black Zetsu does something Sarutobi doesn't like, he can simply teleport to him and seal him before he can escape.

 

"How can I trust you?" After finding no second option, black Zetsu decided to agree to Sarutobi's proposal.

 

"It is up to you whether you want to trust me or not because you have no other way out unless you want to be sealed by me right now. Even if my current strength isn't able to permanently seal you forever but as long as someone stays with the seal all the time, you will have no chance of getting out of it let alone saving your mother."

 

Since Sarutobi's sealing technique has yet to reach sage of six path's level, it isn't possible to make a permanent seal that would keep the Black Zetsu from breaking it. So, if he has to seal him, Sarutobi plans to summon an ancestor from the Uzumaki clan and make him guard the seal.

 

This time Sarutobi will not be using perfected rebirth technique recently invented by Tobirama Senju but his old reanimation jutsu which can be used to control the summoned person as long as the caster has enough strength.

 

Since the reanimated person doesn't need to sleep or eat, they are the perfect tool for guarding the seal and repair it if needed.

 

"Okay, I agree to be your subordinate for now." Black Zetsu said with a reluctant expression.

 

'I will wait and see for now. If he really does have the intention of freeing my mother, I don't have any problem working for him. But if I don't see any progress then I would rather be sealed. I have waited for thousands of years anyway; I have no problem being sealed for another thousand years if needed.' Black Zetsu thought.

 

'It's not like he can live forever. Once he dies, his descendants would forget about me sooner or later. Then I would be able to get free from the seal and resurrect my mother.' Black Zetsu thought with a smug smile.

 

Sarutobi didn't bother caring about the emotional turmoil that Black Zetsu is going through right now. Instead, he simply imprinted Black Zetsu with the curse seal as he intended and said in a threatening tone, "I know you can break free from this seal if you want. But the moment you do so, I wouldn't hesitate anymore from sealing you."

 

"I understated. As long as you keep you promise of freeing my mother from the seal, I will not do anything that would go against your wish." Black Zetsu replied with a gloomy tone.
