Chapter 63: Chapter 63 Foretell (3)

Jiu Hu stood up. "I'll call your brother to guard you. Should I get you anything?"

Hu'er shook her head, "I don't need anything."

These days Hu'er won't eat when she's not that hungry. Even if they told her that they can get food soon or even if they told her that the food is enough, she wouldn't eat. They are determined to fatten her up when winter ends.

"Okay. Wait for your brothers here. I need to check what happened to your Daddies downstairs." Jiu Hu could still hear them downstairs, talking to beastmen.

He wanted to make sure that they would do what Hu'er told them. Whether the things Hu'er saw will come true or not, it's not a loss to do what she wanted.

All he needed to do is to tell them that there is a huge possibility that a wild beast will appear in winter. However, Jiu Hu needs Qiang Li's participation. Qiang Li is much more familiar with the forest. They would believe him.

Jiu Hu decided that he can just tell Qiang Li about it after winter and when he got Hu'er's permission. Qiang Li isn't an impatient beastman, he will surely help them.

Jiu Lin and Ke Rin came in shortly to see Hu'er asleep. They both looks at each other and quietly sat down near her.

It's been days since her Daddies and the beastmen were sent off. Aunt Qiao helped them by sending three of her mates without any exchange. She didn't want anything in return.

The other female sent two of her mates and also didn't ask for anything except for a regular check-up. Jiu Hu will do it even without her asking. However it's only once a day, which is usual, but because of her favor, Jiu Hu will go to check on them every sunrise, and Yun He will go every sunset. To make it fair, they also did it with Aunt Qiao.

Most of the beastmen they got are those that are unmated. Even though they knew that those beastmen who joined them only want to make themselves kind to ask for Hu'er to be their mate, Jiu Hu accepted the reason that they don't need to think about what to eat for this winter. They don't owe any favor. Those beastmen still accepted it and knew that creating a good image is better than nothing.

There are beastmen who are from other houses who joined them and twelve of them are from the other females' house. They exchanged some medicine and one of the females asked to take them in too for her to get easy access to checkups.

However, because there is no space anymore. They let the unmated beastmen exchange their place, which is very fine with the rest. Beastmen know what they must do to protect and make sure all females will be safe. Mate or not it's their responsibility as a beastman.

Before the snowstorm came, everyone was already in their places, safe and sound.

Instead of leaving half of the Daddies here, they all sent them to protect each other. Only Jiu Hu, Yun He, Qiang Li, and Jiu Se stayed. Aunt Qiao also promised to protect Hu'er and guard the stairs to make sure no beastman can go up.

"Ke Rin, can you make wound medicine? Oh! And I also want to know how to stop the bleeding when wounded." Hu'er waves at Ke Rin, who is busy reading his medical stones.

Ke Rin looks at her, confused, "Yes, of course. Wait. Do Hu'er have wounds?" He rushed to her.

She shook her hands and head, "No. No. No. I don't have any wounds. I just want to learn how to make medicine for wounds."

"This." Ke Rin scratched his head. He didn't know if she was allowed to learn. Learning medicine is tough.

"Please…." Hu'er bats her eyes while both hands clasp each other. She got closer to Ke Rin.

Ke Rin was hit by her cuteness. He is standing dumbly. Enchanted by Hu'er, he just stared at her.

Jiu Lin's voice woke Ke Rin up, "Just teach her."

Ke Rin looks at Jiu Hu and nodded, "Okay. I will get the materials and herbs."

He went out to get all the things he need to teach Hu'er. Jiu Lin put down the dress he finished making.

Hu'er ran toward Jiu Lin and jumped on him. Jiu Lin catches Hu'er and brought her to his arms. "Thank you, Brother Jiu Lin!"

Jiu Lin smiled. He knew that Hu'er have been hiding something it made him sad that she didn't tell him about it. "Hmm… Hu'er can you tell me if there is any problem?"

Hu'er grinned at him and mischievously said, "No problems for now. Don't worry, I'll tell my brother once you become my mate!"

Stunned, his face and neck slowly turned red. "Hu'er… I'll— I'll get you some water." He stood up and ran out.

Jiu Lin's tail is wagging. This is the first time Hu'er saw it and it made her squeal in delight.

Jiu Hu dashed out, heart pumping so hard that he didn't even notice Qiang Li in front of him. They bumped into each other but Jiu Lin continues walking away.

Hu'er giggled, "My silly Brother Jiu Lin."

"You're teasing Jiu Lin again." Qiang Li chuckles. He saw how red and nervous Jiu Lin is as he went off.

"Daddy Qiang Li!" Hu'er ran towards him.

Qiang Li raised her, "You are getting heavier. Hu'er grew up."

She shook her head, "No. Daddy, I'm still small. Look! My hands are small." Putting her hands in front of Qiang Li, "See!"

"Hmm… It's indeed small." He holds her hand and puts both of their palms together.

Hu'er tilted her head and asked him, "Daddy has no work anymore?"

"There are still some works. Daddy just came up to ask Hu'er something." Qiang Li looks at her seriously.

He already knows what happened and the reason why Hu'er ordered them to do something. Jiu Hu just told him today, before the sun could even rise.

Hu'er also turned serious, "Daddy can ask anything." Even though her face is calm, her heart is already beating fast.

"Hu'er…"
