Chapter 70: Chapter 70 The Deal

Hu'er finished taking a bath and is already dressed. Her hair is still wet though. Instead of drying her hair, she opened the door to let Ke Rin in. However, what she saw made her laugh.

Ke Rin was dazedly looking at the floor, blushing. Jiu Lin, who is holding food and juice, is standing stiffly, staring at her.

"You guys…" Still laughing, she fully opened the door. "Come on. Get inside."

Ke Rin seems to have lost his mind as he walks towards the bathing tub of Hu'er. He took some water and threw it into a hole where the water would slide down to a big barrel downstairs.

Jiu Lin calmed himself and went in with the food he was holding. He puts the food on Hu'er's table. Took a fabric and waited for her to sit down.

Hu'er is still smiling brightly as she sits down on her chair. Jiu Lin dries her hair with the fabric he is holding. No one spoke so she just started eating.

Although the room is quiet, it feels peaceful. The three did their own thing as the moon brightly lit the darkness.

"Two hundred, two hundred one, two hundred two…" Hu'er is counting her steps, from the treatment house to the land they got, where she would live.

Hu'er wanted to know how many steps she needed to get to her soon-to-be house from her Daddies home.

She stopped at three hundred. Hu'er could see a land that was dug a little far from her. She didn't want to count anymore but didn't want to give up either. She looks very conflicted.

Jiu Lin smiled and was about to volunteer but Xin Hua stepped in first. He went to Hu'er side and said, "Go there first. I will count for you."

Hu'er beamed at him. She had a new mischievous idea and did it. Kissing her palm, she then put it on his cheeks.

Hu'er took Jiu Lin's hand and ran towards the land where they were building her house.

Now, it is Xin Hua who feels conflicted. Being teased like that made his heart go faster but seeing Hu'er run while holding her hands with Jiu Lin made him feel envious.

Ke Rin saw and know what he was thinking by his expression. He rolled his eyes at him and followed Hu'er. He didn't wait for Xin Hua.

Why would he? Xin Hua is still conflicted when he already got a trick kiss but he didn't get any. He needs to win a little bit and get some treats from Hu'er.

Xin Hi steps, "Three hundred one, three hundred two…"

Meanwhile, Hu'er is looking at the lines on the floor and following them. Jiu Lin saw that she have been looking at the lines.

"As of now, the lines are the border of our territory. We will build a wall on that or wait for others to trade their merit points to expand our territory," Jui Lin explained what the line is for.

"Ke Rin give me the paper." Hu'er is actually very happy that someone created a paper.

Hu'er knows there is such a thing as paper but didn't know how it was created. The person who got this idea is Shun Su.

Shun Su got irritated with the fact that he needed to bring so many stones to write information. Hu'er gives out a hint of; 'It's much better if you have something thin and weightless that you can carry to write on.' Ever since that time Shun Su suddenly got busy.

They only knew what he was doing when Shun Su ran to their home and nearly kissed Hu'er in happiness. He made a paper with the use of leaves and trees.

Some paper was green though. So she told him that if he could dye it white, it would be great. He did and showed it to her before telling it to the Tribe.

With just that, he got fifty merits points as it is very essential to the Tribe and Hu'er got ten merits points too.

Hu'er got the stick graphite. She drew a rectangle. "In the front part, we can build a main house where we can let others visit. So I can just go there to entertain females or you guys can go there to entertain or do trades with beastmen."

Then, she drew three squares afterward. "The right square is where the pond can be built. The middle square is where I live. The left square is where we can hang our clothes or food that needs to be dried."

She drew two rectangles on both sides again, "The right side is where you guys will be staying. The left side can be Daddies visitation house."

Lastly, she put a large rectangle at the back, "This will be our storehouse. Divide it inside depending on what it is like herbs, food, fabrics, tools, and other materials. You can build your working space here or just build it in your house. These dots are walkways."

Nodding, Hu'er is satisfied with what she envisions, "We can plant some berry bushes and some fruits and vegetables to these sides of the spaces too." She looks up to see Xin Hua, Jiu Lin, and Xin Hua with different expressions. She blinks.

Jiu Lin who has a serious expression spoke, "I think I need to trade my merit points for lands now. I won't save it anymore. Ke Rin will do it too."

Xin Hua who had a thoughtful expression earlier added, "I can ask the Tribe if I can put my merit points and trade the lands. We can just write that Hu'er will be my mate at a certain season or an age to pacify the Tribe."

Although Jiu Lin doesn't like the idea, he still gave it a thought and nodded. After all, he could see that Hu'er will definitely mate with Xin Hua in the future. "We will ask Shun Su if he wanted to do so too." Jiu Lin muttered.

Xin Hua nods and smiles satisfied that he got what he wanted. Xin Hua just wanted something that could assure him that he will be Hu'er's mate.

He trusts that Hu'er will do what she promises but he doesn't trust other people that have the power to interfere with mating, like the old females.

"You... You all...  Didn't you hear her? She wanted to live alone…. We won't be living with you?" Ke Rin is still shocked as he pointed at the square where Hu'er said she will live.

Silent descends. They are all looking at the square where Ke Rin is pointing.

"Hey! Am I late? Who's not living with who? Oh! What's that square?"
