Blade X Sanctuary

My name is Eries, and I'm a valkyrie. My mission is to ensure the balance of powers in the world; we crown kings and we dethrone them; we welcome the souls of warriors or trow them at the abyss; we decide the outcome of wars.

At least that's how it is supposed to be, but some powers have gone beyond our control.

The astral beasts and their knights pose the biggest threat to Razeron's stability, so I'm supposed to hunt them down to the last one. And I had the chance to do just that, but I was taken aback when one of them told me something I could never forget. He said:

"We don't belong here. This land isn't ours. It wasn't made for us. It was never ours to protect.

But we stole it anyway. We stablished the Sanctuaries, which forced the land to produce the enviroment we needed to survive - at the price of killing the original one.

Surely there will be consequences to our actions, but these consequences are far too terrible to behold, aren't they? So you don't.

Although you have seen it, you just closed your eyes tighter.
Although you have heard it, you did not listen.
Although you have felt it, you trew it away.
Although you have smelled it, you covered your nose.

But not us. We are different.

We beheld and listened and we shouted back and punched and farted on its face.

Don't get me wrong, we don't want to undo yours or our ancestors mistakes. Rather, we want to protect them. We need to protect them, for the sake of the survival of this land. For the sake of Razeron.
We are on your side more than yourselves.

Because we are astral knights of the Black Hounds.
We will protect the Sanctuaries.
