Chapter 41: CHAPTER 41: CONFRONTED DARK REVIER

Dark Hartina returned to Luguom City with his heart in his throat but he walked inside the palace with confidence and determination.

 

He went to the throne chamber where some Deorc Star users were having a meeting with their king. He opened the door and walked as if nothing happened. The door guard didn't stop him because they recognised him as one of the Deorc Star users.

 

"Hey, where'd you go all these weeks?" Dark Sethan asked when Dark Hartina took his seat beside him.

 

"Why? Do you want to follow me to the Ethina Zone? Damn that Dark Kurumi. Why did he take me there for?" Dark Hartina grumbled while lying spontaneously.

 

Dark Revier was watching him and he knew it. He also ignored the pressure that was put on him. It seems Dark Revier has begun to suspect him of something.

 

"What the heck do you guys do there?" Dark Reammut asked in bewilderment.

 

Ethina Zone was the hazardous zone where no normal human can step inside without wearing a chemical protection suit.

 

Dark Hartina groaned. "Dark Kurumi, that bastard. He wants to capture Belidine in it. Of course, my power... Wasn't Needed! Though, he could just let the hunter do their job."

 

Dark Spincer laughed at his misery. "Dark Kurumi do love going to dangerous places. I should have recommended myself to go with him. Training myself while at it... So, where is he? Don't tell me he is still at that place."

 

"Go and meet him. I left him there." Dark Hartina folded his hands.

 

"But you won't find him..." He continued in silence.

 

"Alright, enough all of you. We have something important to discuss. Dark Kage, do you mind continuing about your new invention." 

 

Dark Lusophia turns her head towards someone who has grey skin. Their discussion was interrupted by Dark Hartina's arrival. 

 

As for Dark Kage, he has cold eyes wearing glasses like Dark Undria. The difference was only his eyes were so dark that pupils and irises blended in together. He has black hair with a height of 1.84 metres. His clothes were red and black with a robe that covered his body. He would have looked handsome if his skin wasn't greyish like ashes or looked like dead people.

 

"As mentioned before, my new invention would help us increase more of our understanding about our power ability. So, I'll introduce you to your same kind and ability." Dark Kage explains before he touches a button in his hand.

 

Someone or something immediately opens the door to the chamber again.

 

"What?! Dark Kage, you make me?! Oh jeez! She looks beautiful like me!" Dark Amilia stood up while looking at herself or her doppelganger.

 

Everyone's eyes twitched at her before they looked at the doppelganger.

 

"Is that a machine?" Dark Markia asked Dark Kage with awe.

 

The doppelganger was a replica of Dark Amilia. Even her fake smile was there. As for Dark Lusophia, she shuddered at the thought of Dark Kage also sizing them up, including their bosom and their back bumps. When did he do that?!

 

Pervert! She screamed and glared at him silently.

 

Dark Kage who didn't realise someone was looking murderous at him, nodded at her question.

 

"I assure you that it has the ability like you guys."

 

"Amazing. No one can invent this like you." Dark Chronos praise.

 

"Can I fight with it now, Dark Kage?" Dark Amilia looks excited.

 

Dark Kage throws something at her. She caught it and had a look. It was a remote controller with two buttons. One says on and one says off...? Wait! How'd he move the machine just now?

 

It can't be! Dark Amilia's eyes widened at her doppelganger. The doppelganger smiled sweetly at her.

 

"That's so neat!" She shouted and then jumped with a kick towards her doppelganger. 

 

Everyone was stunned because first, they were in the throne chamber and last, this chamber was their king's chamber! What are you doing?! You want Dark Revier to punish you?!

 

Unfortunately, nothing can stop Dark Amilia from testing the machine. The machine slides to the right and then grabs Dark Amilia's kicking leg before it throws her away to a wall. Dark Amilia flips herself and lands on the wall safely before she leaps again toward the machine.

 

"Hey, hey, Dark Kage! Ask your machine to fight somewhere else! She's gonna destroy this room!" Dark Ceilius growled at Dark Kage beside him.

 

He also gulped at Dark Revier's calm expression watching the battle. Dark Kage realised his mistake so he stared at the doppelganger. The machine seems to get information through her brain and immediately runs out of the room. Dark Amilia chased her with glees.

 

"Wait! Where are you going...?!" Her voice sounded until it was gone.

 

Everyone let out a sigh of relief and Dark Reammut groaned. 

 

Why does she have a sister like that?! She is crazy and a maniac!

"Erm, another machine would be sent to the training arena. That's all from me, Your Majesty." Dark Kage bowed to Dark Revier.

 

"You've done well, Dark Kage. I will increase more materials for you to use later."

 

Dark Kage's eyes brightened. "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

 

"All right. Everyone, dismissed... Dark Hartina, you stay." Dark Revier ordered while closing his eyes.

 

What does Your Majesty want from Dark Hartina? 

 

Some of them were clueless while some who were at the scene where Dark Hartina was warned by Dark Revier looked at Dark Hartina in concern. They also don't know the reason for Dark Hartina leaving Luguom just after the warning. It was bullshit to say Dark Kurumi wants Dark Hartina to follow him. After all, to them, Dark Kurumi seems to want to help Dark Hartina move far from here. But, why?

 

Doesn't that look like something weird was going on then?

 

Unfortunately, they had to leave while Dark Hartina was left behind. Dark Hartina stood up and then went in front of Dark Revier before he kneeled.

 

"I have been thinking, Your Majesty." Dark Hartina spoke first when they were alone.

 

After all, Dark Revier probably going to warn him again or... kill him.

 

"What's your thought about it? Do you think I did that to lie to you and them all?" Dark Revier asked.

 

Dark Hartina was silent for a moment before he shook his head. "There must be a reason for Your Majesty to do that. I, your low subject, would not go against you nor tell the others about this. Your Majesty can mark me with your power if you no longer trust me. If I have ever betrayed you, you can kill me immediately."

 

Dark Hartina heads lowered down. Dark Revier... He can't beat him nor can he escape his clutch once he enters Luguom again. He knows this and that's why his life was left to his fate. 

 

What Dark Revier wants to do to him, he will accept it but not death. He wants to take responsibility to ensure the safety of other true Bright Star users while he was back here. He can only think of this method, pleading and lowering himself to Dark Revier, asking him to punish him or control his life.

 

Dark Revier stares at him deeply. He used his power to probe inside Dark Hartina's memories, making Dark Hartina gasp and whimper in pain. The movement in his head was not kind or gentle. This was the power of violence that Dark Hartina can feel from Dark Revier.

 

"Hm... It seems you didn't betray me. Fine, I'll give you another chance. Train Dark Lordany as our member and... Lead Dark Lordany to eradicate Rafael in Ryam. I want to see Rafael's expression when he sees his son kill him." Dark Revier chuckled.

 

"Yes, Your Majesty! I will follow your command!" Dark Hartina replied with darkened eyes.

 

Inside, he was so grateful to Ziphoteninx for helping him shield his true thoughts and memories. After that, he left the throne chamber.

 

"Ledeigh..." Dark Revier called.

 

Ledeigh appeared beside him from a curtain's shadow near Dark Revier.

 

"Watch him. Make sure he follows my order."

 

Ledeigh nodded slightly before he was gone again. A few minutes later, he watches Dark Hartina reach the cell that imprisons Rafiz.

 

"Dark Lordany." Dark Hartina called to the darkness of the cell.

 

It seems the new punishment from Dark Sethan was to put Rafiz in the darkest cell. His heart thumped while waiting. He's been gone for two weeks. He wondered if Rafiz was still himself.

 

"Dark Lordany?" 

 

Rafiz didn't seem to hear him so he went in. Suddenly, an attack came from above him. Dark Hartina slides aside and instantly puts his hand around the neck of the attacker, choking him.

 

"Dark Lordany, it seems to me you are now able to see in the dark." He chuckled before he let Rafiz go and back away a few meters.

 

Rafiz's eyes had turned vertical purplish, glaring at Dark Hartina while he breathed in and out heavily. It seems he still wasn't able to hit anyone from the Deorc Star users. Hate filled his eyes and he didn't understand much about it.

 

Dark Hartina frowned. "I need to quickly distinguish the flame of hate that was born inside his heart."

 

"Dark Lordany, follow me if you don't want to be in misery under Dark Sethan again." He walked towards the outside of the cell.

 

Rafiz stared at him. This is the first time he sees Dark Hartina. His eyes almost hurt looking at Dark Hartina attires. And now he found out that he hates Bright colours.

 

"Dark Lordany?"

 

Rafiz growled but had to follow. Dark Hartina was stronger than him and he probably would be punished again if he did not listen. Not like if he listens he won't be punished either. 

 

He really doesn't understand these people. He wished he could get free soon to find that person. Slowly, he rubbed the wrist of the bangle mark.

 

When will I be able to find you? He sighed in his heart.
