Two days after wisdom tooth extraction. Just according to the dentist, my left cheek swelled splendidly. Seeing it, Yuri cackled.

 

“Sousuke—, picture time–. I’ll cherish it for the rest of my life.”

 

“By that you mean, ‘I’ll tease you to my heart’s content for the rest of my life’. Stop making it sound good.”

 

“You’re misunderstanding me, Sousuke. Here, see.” She pressed the juice can against my swelling cheek. A comforting chill from the can spread through my swollen cheek. So she had searched that cooling would help. Although she might not show it, she must have cared about me in her own way.

But, well. I was depressed about my swollen face, but if it could at least make her smile, then it shouldn’t be completely bad.
