Chapter 3: Chapter 3: 9 years later.

Sylas opens his eyes, "light" the room becomes bright. He gets up from bed, his face is still the same as it was 9 years ago. "It's time to leave this place." He moves toward the crystal ball and touches it, the same blonde-haired handsome man comes out from the projection of Augustus Griffiths.

"Hello, it looks like you passed the final test. I don't know how long you have been trapped in this place but congratulations. First let me open you a new door to leave the room." A door suddenly appeared on the wall. "That is the real door to leave the room, now I will give you my money and the item that I have saved for you." A pouch suddenly appears "that is a space pouch you can store any item inside, but if you master a storage space magic you can put the pouch inside your space. You must have read my diary on the bookshelf so you already know my life when I am alive. I am already 759 years old when I die. I don't know what year that you found my inheritance. That means my friend and enemy also already passed away."

On the journey Sylas found a lot of monsters and animals that tried to attack him, he just pierce them with an earth spike spell on their forehead and put their carcass in storage space. For flying monster like big vulture with horn on his head and have power of lighting, he just shot an ice spear on the vulture before the ice spear hit, the vulture shot a lightning from his horn at Sylas, he already prepare a mana shield so nothing happen to him but the vulture head already explode and the vulture carcass get put in storage space.

Sylas has been trapped for 9 years in the secret chamber, inside he has learned almost all of basic magic. But the magic that he masters is earth, wood, dark, space and ice. The reason is in the chamber most of the mana have that element underground.

"According to the map that I read, there is a town near the forest but it will take around 11 days by caravan, with my speed I can arrive there in a day if I use teleport, but l like to take my time. Let's just fly there."

Few days later, "this forest sure has a lot of monsters and animals, should I skin the carcass here or I wait until I arrive at town to go to an adventure guild or merchant guild to sell it."

Suddenly Sylas heard a metal clashing and explosion sound not far from him. He decided to take a look.

"How dare you attack us, don't you see the symbol of the caravan? We are from the Viscount Mintz family."

"I know who you are, just surrender, if you surrender I might let you live.

There are two groups fighting, one group has around 50 people wearing Knight armor and adventure outfits and armor protecting the Viscount Mintz family caravan. The group that attacking also wearing outfit like adventure the only different the all wear a scarf to cover their face and Masquerade eye mask, there are around 30 people but they have around five apprentice and Three adept mage according to their spell and mana their emitted the rest is just apprentice warrior and archer. The caravan has two adepts, a mage and knight. Knight and warrior convert mana to aura to fight that means some of them also can use elemental attack. Right now the caravan is losing.

"Who is there, come out" one of the assailant's adept mages notice someone spying on them.

"Hello there, don't mind me, just keep fighting, I will not interfere." Sylas appear floating in the air.

The assailant, an adept mage that says it, starts to sweat because his instinct is telling him that man is not normal. Because he cannot feel any mana around this man there are three possibilities: this man is normal human but normal human cannot float, second using magic artifact but magic artifact will show mana around the user and the last one if that man is a Master mage, Master can hide mana around himself.

"Please forgive me for my rudeness."

"William, why are you asking for forgiveness just to kill him too." One of the other assailants adept mage says.

"Stupid, just try sense that person mana"

"Master Mage please save us, if you save us the Viscount Mintz will surely reward you." Adept mage from caravan say.

"Wait!" A young boy came out from the caravan. "If you save us I will let you read a forbidden spell book that we are protecting."

"Young master, you cannot let a stranger read that book." Adept Knight says.

"It's alright or do you want to die here. They will not let us live."

Both sides of the group stop doing anything and wait for Sylas answer.

"You just leave them, they are under my protection."

"Sigh, yes senior I understand, let's leave."

"Wait, are you crazy? We need to get that book."

"I still want to live." William starts to leave.

"Listen to me everyone, I will double your reward, attack that man and the stuff on the caravan. We will share it together." One of the assailant adept mages that have not said anything.

At first they all hesitate, after that they all attack Sylas with spell and arrow except for William that has run away first when they start attacking. When the attack almost hit Sylas. "ice wall." The wall of ice protecting Sylas from the attack.

The assailant almost approached the ice wall to attack the ice wall. "ice breath" all the assailants get frozen to death. "earth spike" all of the archer and mage apprentice get pierced and die except for two adept mages that manage to escape.

"Shadow swallow" both try to use spells to destroy the shadow mouth that comes out from their own shadow, but it's futile both of them get swallowed by the shadow and disappear. The scene turns terrifying, The caravan starts to shiver just in just a few minutes the enemy all die except for one.

"Okay it's done give me the book."
