Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Defend (1).

Esasa city, Rebel salve army mansion. Right now the entire Rebel slave army are gathering inside the mansion. When the dark cloud arrives at the city, Hiram sends a message to all the group inside and outside of the city to return. They already heard the news about the beast tide that is heading to Esasa city from multiple sources but they can't get out of the city, people can only enter the city. The security of the city wall is tight because they want to capture the dragon egg thief.

"How is the arrangement?" Hiram asked.

"We already set up ballista, mana canon and the trap." Lance says,

"Good, if the city wall falls, we still can defend the mansion." Hiram says.

"Why don't we just abandon the city?" Gavriel says.

"I agreed." Dina says.

"Me too." Yaela says.

"The beast tide is already near, if we encounter the beast tide we all will die." Hiram said. While they are talking the dark cloud begins to rain.

The citizens of Esasa city are very happy when it rains because in the city it rarely rains because of the city's hot weather. Most of their water that they got is from underground water, the kid when seeing the rain begin playing outside the house. The Rebel slave army children and some adult also play in the rain happily. Looking at the children playing the four general and Lance just smile. This is something they like to see rather than face of despair and hopelessness.

Ten of thousands of beasts and monsters are now moving toward Esasa city in the rain, although they are moving slower but it's better than moving in the hot weather. The two Forest dragons and other Flying creatures are following behind the beast tide.

On the wall, the city guard is looking at the distance for anything unusual, because of the rain he can't see properly. He suddenly saw a large number of silhouettes appearing from the distance and the number kept growing and the silhouette was getting bigger. He finally can recognize the silhouette, the other guard also the same and they quickly sound the alarm. The soldier begins to move and tells the citizen to hide in their house.

"Hiram, the beast tide is coming!" Dina shouted.

Taking a deep breath, Hiram begin to giving order to entire Rebel slave army to get ready.

In the sky the Forest Dragon begins to roar and the entire beast tide begins to move toward the city. In Esasa city many archers and soldiers are already in their position and ready to fire. The first to arrive near the city wall are thousands of Treant and many spikes come out from the ground and attack the city wall but the wall is too hard and can only cause minimal damage from the spike.

Many arrows have been fired and fall down from the sky, but the arrow can't penetrate the Treant bark skin deep enough to cause any damage. Behind the Treant the other beast and monster are using the Treant as a shield and some of the arrows manage to kill some of the beast and monster. Suddenly multiple mana beams and giant arrows come down from the wall, The Treant that gets hit by the mana beams begins to burn and falls down into the beast tide, the majority beast tide dies from the impact and fire. The Treant that gets pierced by a giant arrow still survives and just regrow any injuries, but for other beast and monster that get hit by the mana beam and giant arrow will instantly die.

On the city wall, the archers keep firing arrows; they know if the city wall falls all of them will die.

"Why are there so many of the beast and monster!" Archer A.

"This is weird." Archer A.

"What?" Archer B.

"Where is the flying creature?" Archer A.

"You are right, where is the flying creature?" Archer B.

The dark cloud suddenly stops raining, the archer and soldier begin to wipe their faces from the water, some of them looking at the sky and hearing a noise above them. Numerous Flying creatures begin to appear from the dark cloud and begin attacking the archer and soldier. The archer fires their arrow at the flying creature and kills it, but the majority of the flying creature manage to get near the archer and soldier and begin to attack and consume them.

While the archer and soldier are busy fighting at the wall, the flying creature begins attacking the citizen. Luckily the adventurer and mercenaries' guild are protecting the citizen, multiple spell, blade and arrow fire at the flying creature and killing them. But many flying creatures manage to capture and kill the citizens, laying in the Esasa city streets are the corpses of the citizens and the flying creature.

Rebel slave army mansion, right majority of them are save when the flying creature come down from the dark cloud. The Rebel slave army already prepare and fire their mana cannon, ballista and arrow at the flying creature and many of the creature die from the attack.

"This is fun." Yaela says while jumping from the mansion roof and killing the flying creature, the flying creature tries to fight back, but in the end is beheaded by Yaela.

On the roof a group of archers are firing arrows at the flying creature, beside them are people guarding them from any attack.

"You are right." Dina says.

"You two be careful." Gavriel says, while breaking the neck of the flying creature.

"Come down and fight on the ground!" Hiram shouted. He knows today will be a protracted fight.

At the city wall, many Treant begin to slam the city gate multiple times as the city gate begins to crack. The city mage tries to reinforce the gate but their mana is beginning to run out, the archer and soldier are busy fighting the flying creature.

The two Forest dragons just watch what is happening to the city wall. The reason the dragon still hasn't attacked the city is because they don't want to damage the egg from their attack. The city gate can't longer hold on from the Treant attack and shattered. With the city gate gone the beast tide began to pour inside the city. The mage and the soldier behind the door tries to hold on and defend the city, but it is only a matter of time before they all will be killed.
