These should not be this hard to write.

Let's get this part out of the way now.

If you want to read Draft 1 of Breaking Step, you can do that by supporting me on Patreon . But you don’t have to worry, once I start writing draft 2, that will be posted here, same as the previous book in the series.

Breaking Step

Chapter 40 of Breaking Step is done, so here is an update. The book is getting close to what I think of as the middle of the book (the dungeon closing its door while it graduates) and things are progressing... nicely?... it's been a bumpy ride for Tibs and me (had a bad few days early in the month where I questioned why I was bothering with this) but we're still on track.

Stepping up

still need to make the time to go over the comments and update the story

Bottom Rung

my editor is dealing with health issues, so that's being delayed.

the future of the series

one thing writing Book 3 is showing me is that if I intend on making it to the last book in the series(book 10), I can't rely on discovery writing. to that effect, my co-scripter and I have started laying down the rest of the series. Arc 2(book 4-6) is established. Book 4 has the core of the story written in bullet points. book 5 and six have the generalities agreed upon. and we know the big bad's end goal.

so yeah, things are moving forward
