"Sweetie, calm down, listen to me alright?" The young girl's mom came into the former's bedroom, went up to her and gave her a slight shake, calming the young girl down. The young girl then rushed to the window and looked, an ever so majestic sight was what she could behold even though it was incomparably smaller, in the distance and much less 'epic' than what she has seen in movies; she and everyone else as well.
“Woow!!” From the distance, the young girl and the tens of thousands of people around as well as on the shore could see, besides an enormous energy barrier that was probably tens of nautical miles away from the shore of the river on every single side, protecting them not only from any possible offensive of the now enemy of the allied forces to banish the criminal scum but also from strong and surging waves that were created by the plethora of HUGE warships sailing East.
But they could also see huge, immense warships that had already sailed and were in the middle of moving towards exactly where some already anchoring warships much farther in the distance might be firing their weapons. The sight of thousands and thousands of smoke coming from from the far distance where nothing else was possible to be seen was extraordinary, reeling in many of the citizens of the east of the Nascent Herb City.
“Mom! They are…uhh, they are killing people, right?” The young girl said as if gaining intelligence once she recovered herself from her confusion from having just woken up, her mom came to her from behind and held her right shoulder, then said nothing. What was there to say, that no, or yes? Or that it was for a cause? Bullshit, it was all because the other side was trained, and their side wanted to make those who had committed such things to be more than punished, there was nothing more to it. It was just… war.
…From all over the east of the Nascent Herb City, citizens of the same could hear and some closest to the shores could see the several thousands and thousands of smoke, as well as the tracking from the ammunition that was shot from the river towards the skies, falling down like heavy bullets or a rather heavy soccer ball curving in the air downwards and probably fall upon some military assets.
Enemy military assets, that is, of course.
With the waking up to such welcoming sounds, even though they knew that it meant the deaths of many who are just doing their part in life, having just yesterday, suffered from such an unneeded reason and in such a way that could only be described as: disgusting. It was even a sight to lo and behold, the obedience and mentality of the enemy side’s soldiers who remained on their positions and status without thinking much about defecting.
Not every single soldier was like this, they weren’t hive minded puppets nor robots after all, but the amount of soldiers who did that would either be jailed or killed on the spot would naturally be a stronger deterrence for those who still hold thoughts of defecting; temporarily.
From so far away, what the citizens could see where merely some missiles from possible even 1,000,000 kilometers away, due to the size of some and the fact that there was way too many warships and that each had quite a large amount of such largest ever seem missile weapons for what was infantry and blinded vehicles or even bases of the enemy directly.
The citizens couldn’t tell, and either only in their heads or among their debating could it be discussed thought after. Some of those that were too far away from the east of the Nascent Herb City could instead, only rely on the social media, that was bursting straight up, which only the—Crestfallen Industry, previously—Peaceful Rain Corporation could maintain thanks to their engineering and other lots of fascinating but equally boring stuff.
…On the other hand, on the other side of the shore, where countless residential areas of villagers and simply cottages, farms and the like were emptied out and where the soldiers of the ‘Founding’ Yun Clan’s allies were stationing themselves and building a qualifying port with high-end technology—in their side—at a speed that would make those thousands of years ago think that they were a complete waste of human resources equivocally.
And just as they were having some idle time while the machines either processed, carried and disembarked materials in just the right ways and almost perfect accuracy, with soldiers, officials and even auxiliary personnel all around…
PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK! PANGK!...
Thunderbolts resounded at the ground as if the world itself decided to spawn such things right then and there, giving life to what could obviously be seen as terror and complete, unknown chaos that came so sudden but that reaped so many lives and directly destroyed so many flora and the houses that were painstakingly built over the years by their owners; now inhabited by strangers with ease.
When it came at first, second, third and fourth; everyone who was in those houses and even farther to the back, where a lot of movement was made from part of said soldiers and even more personnel. They all became deaf, some even lost their sense of reality and fell to the ground, with most of them being hit by raining bullets that would came after without a damn stop!
It was as if the enemy was a mage, and they had an eye atop the sky of the Iron Will Region, dictating them what to do, how to do it, when to do it and how much to put into the places that the Peaceful Rain Corporation’s navy to take out, down and make go ‘boom’ as destructible as possible.
The enemy armies stationed in the Iron Will Region could do nothing, and their defensive measures were completely obliterate, their whole remaining pieces even melting with just the explosions of some missiles coming at them, let alone the pulverized human beings whose only remains were those of clothing and their barely remaining weapons or tools.
That was without mentioning the ‘big ones’ that everyone who survived the first 4 bombardments of both missiles and then ammunition could see as they looked at the sky, watching how things that were 3 to 4 bigger than the extremely famous Baby Mother Bird Aircraft, and how they directly went towards their armies’ bases, temporary headquarters and even their other fellow soldiers set on another roads and points of defense.
All at once, tens of thousands of soldiers were left without barely any hope, as they all began dying and some who barely survived the onslaught of the first 4 bombardments, who wanted to respond by moving into several different positions, to move while communicating with the highest ones in command and take a complete newly sorted out retreat or strategical advancement could only watch and try to save the ones they could…only to end up being completely devastated.
If seen from above, the just now a peaceful morning with even some light rain having occurred a few hours before the morning came and it was still dark in the sky, leaving the entire shores of the Iron Will Region full of an aromatic paradise as the tiny humans rested in homes and farms that were not theirs but that had been vacant at the completely very least.
With so much said and done, the moment that a rain of ‘gigantic arrows’ made their way from the river where they could see, from the shore, those rather largest warships ever seen on all of New Earth’s humanity history; suddenly rage upon them the fury of the thunderbolts going off on the ground, cursing a dent and immediately causing dozens of meters in diameter to become a place that took all life and structures to the most destructible degree!
The trees, bushes, grass, insects singing, dancing, living, animals farthest away and even more so due to the large movement of so many huge humans and huge rare beasts accompanying them, frolicking, mating, yawning…all of them as it wasn’t long since they woke up, could have never imagined that dying was really that easy after being just remotely close to one exploding missile warhead.
Not even 5 seconds they were given; the soldiers, as the ones in charge of scouting saw the smoke from the lining of warships on the river so far away suddenly explode with smoke that was almost as wide as 10 people with their arms spread out to their sides abreast each other go into the sky, in just 3 seconds, they were already witnessing their own comrades at the shore becoming utter sparkles and dusty carbon - right as the scouts themselves were blow away into becoming just the same even as the missiles went way below under the water and exploded from there.
As on the ground, whether one was hit by it or was a bit close to the area being bombarded, it was impossible to see how large a single missile warhead could create an explosion that would allow said explosion to go up in the air, they could only be deafened as they experienced such terrifying weapon and run away with hopes of not being taken as the enemy despite being stupid enough to come close to an army’s soldiers and even chat with them.
The lots of normal people and curious and/or stupid citizens that came to take a look and even reporters and journalists simply wished to be ‘those guys and gals’ that made it while being ‘neutral’. Unfortunately, especially for those who were there in the temporary headquarters placed on the western shores of the Iron Will Region to make some cheap propaganda for the ‘Founding’ Clans - were all caught up in the moment.
While the soldiers who survived the 4th wave of bombardment all slowly died ‘on their own’ by trying to rescue their injured, dying comrades, ending up as being totally destroyed in body by the flying ammunition that so long has not shown signs of having a limit to their range. A very scary thing to consider, especially when their accuracy was too unlikely to be real.
With missiles that looked like several buildings placed right to each other in a line, one where tens of people could live in and be completely fine with some remaining space left to be taken even, in terms of width, those incredible wide missiles went over to either the temporary headquarters, bases constructed semi-close to them and towards the soldiers, fellow personnel and vehicles that were accompanying them.
As they could only see at the central western side of the Iron Will Region how the thousands of explosions seemed so loud that their ears tingled despite being so damn far away, the big one that came towards them left them feeling funny, while some thought that it was a mere trick and that it was actually a new aircraft built to look like a missile. There was simply no way for such a fat ass missile or even aircraft to be real.
But when it dived down, it dawned on them, on them and on all the flora, fauna, ecosystem and possibly even the air itself in the surroundings 100 kilometers or more.
MVPUKUNG...! CLISHHh~-KSHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
With a sound that could only be described as horror-striking, the earth grumbled but only for an instant, and the hearts of everyone right at the explosion of the huge missile sent towards them that even as they ran away from it, it still seemed several times faster than even their own vehicles, let alone the running men and women; their hearts all melted down immediately from the explosive wave.
As the warhead touched the ground, it buried itself for tens of meters before letting itself go off, as if deciding it was deep enough to cause enough destruction for the whole ecosystem such that it was satisfied enough with it. Once it did, and without them being able to run away at all, not even for the lightest, nimblest and fastest vehicles around, every single person had their whole bodies blasted into not even blood or mushed flesh and bone dust.

They all, without a fault, had only their feet remaining by the time that the initial explosive wave reached several kilometers into the surroundings in a spreading fashion. Then, to those farthest away who were at the rear or the front of the several tens of kilometers long line and were having a hard time holding their heads with their bleeding ears…
They naturally could not be left alone, and with the mere passing of 2 seconds, the earth quaked once; only once. But that alone made the whole earth suddenly slump down as if being sucked into the core of New Earth, giving rise to all of the hairs of the lucky rear and head of the line, before they then saw how smallish pieces of land began disappearing one by one from the several kilometers long hole diameter in the middle of the road - towards every angle outside of that hole.
The soldiers, in their right mind, tried to run away, not minding the vehicles who seemed to have become completely retarded and couldn’t advance faster than even normal cars, beginning a large march that spread out towards different directions all at the same time. Running for their lives, they couldn’t hear that strange phenomena even as it happened right behind their feet.
And, hence, they could obviously not see at first nor understand why there was less and less heaviness coming from their back, as if nothing was happening. It was only when several soldiers stopped and took a look back that they noticed the reason why there was much less heaviness than before.
All of their comrades, men and women they’ve trained with and for so long at that, of several different ages too, were gone; they were all…really gone.
With those soldiers having done as much as looking back, they naturally declared themselves dead as they turned into nutrition for the future of that solid immediately after. Before long, more and more uneasy lightness was felt from all angles, from all bases of operations and from the temporary headquarters.
When people thought that the worst thing ever had finally descended upon their very own Region, the Iron Will Region, they didn’t expect that that was just the ‘opening ceremony’ whereas the real collateral, constant and lasting damage was about to start.
Peeeeeeeeewwww~!!!
Immediately 15 minutes after the ‘big ones’ went off, several dozens of G F-D Spaceships moved into the air and arrived before the places where tens of thousands of soldiers perished in less than 2 minutes. Landing on the soft and warm ground, with clothes thrown all around with an incredible scorching smell of both a biological organism and mere objects such as clothes, metal, plastic and even the dirt itself; the G F-D Spaceships opened their cargo and from them either came out a multitude of soldiers or a never-before-seen huge machinery that had the body of a fortress and the flexibility of a light, advanced tank with high tech installed in it.
With there being suddenly a few tens of thousands of soldiers who came out from the whole dozens of G F-D Spaceships on each point that the ‘big ones’ had bombarded and annihilated both life and thing alike, the fortress-like tank moved on its own through the pitch like it was a mere walk in the yard and without facing any obstruction.
Literally, as if attaching itself to walls and being able to move its whole body despite not seemingly having any legs nor wheels or at least tracks that could be the way it moved, instead, it’s completely smooth, almost plain surface below its body was letting the whole huge thing like it was floating and only needed some, any kind of, foundation to walk on it.
It had a highest height at its center of about 13 meters, 3 huge barrels that were as long as a high tech modern aircraft fighter and as thick as wide as half a meter, each could rotate without overlapping each other and with the differences in their maximum range as well as accuracy being minimal. While in front of it, below and away from where those things would start going ‘boom’ and ‘boom’. A hatch door was visible, so large that it would allow for even 3 fat wide men to enter it without much trouble.
While on its sides, including at its back and in front, it had a fortified rampart inclined from the inside out just for a little bit, but such ramparts were around 4 to even 7 meters tall while the they were also about 3-4 meters thick. As for how large the entire fortress-like tank was,it was around 224 square meters long.
It was a novelty, even for the futuristic of today for such a moving fortress, adopting the lineage of the experimental, new and changing tanks and bringing it up to a whole new level, one where a tank itself may very well be able to completely wipe out small groups of armies by themselves and even with the enemy side having a lot of support to take from.
Yet, what the fortress-like tank did with the logo of the Peaceful Rain Corporation atop where its barrels were at was not to wreak havoc and destruction, but to make way for the center of the Iron Will Region for thousands of kilometers before even an hour could be reached. Of course, the fortress-like tanks weren’t stopping for anything, not even for the remaining military men and women who shot at them with whatever they could, even rocks and their own armored uniforms, helmets and so on.
Going in straight lines and sending out ‘missiles’ which had a blinking blue light on their rear into the sky for a little bit before going forwards and then even circling the area way in front of said tanks a few times before finally exploding in the air; harmlessly, they then followed a route that was perfectly smooth for them, allowing them to reach such distance very effortlessly and without worrying about any misfortune happening to a fellow fortress-like tank.
Once they arrived at a certain position, from all over the East of the Iron Will Region’s shores villages, towns and pseudo-cities, in the middle of territory where nobody was willing to build a land of more humans and their social needs. The stopped in a perfect line that made borders with the northern eastern and southern eastern Iron Will Region’s riverside settlements.
Then, as if magically, the fortress-like tanks had a blue energy light appear right in front of them for a few kilometers from their current position while keeping deathly still, a few ‘limbs’ attaching them to the ground firmly and extensively with their limbs going all the way down and even making their way for hundreds of meters before forming a king of anchor-like base whose purpose was only that, for these days at the very least; to anchor the fortress-like tank.
Then, the light energy from before began making a huge screen, similar but still weaker to the ones that many citizens of the Nascent Herb City could witness either by their own eyes or social media. Then, they waited, the fortress-like tanks stopped moving and they began to do nothing but to wait…
Before long, sounds of aircrafts moving their way was heard and, with the simple movement of their 3 barrels, they began aiming at the incoming aircrafts still several tens of thousands of kilometers away…as if the could hit the thousands of aircrafts, and without even needing to hit them directly at that…
. . .
New Earth, Nascent Herb City, 10 AM and way before those fortress-like tanks could make their way to form a ‘new’ border with their energy barriers. Within the Peaceful Rain Corporation.
In a room that allowed the several people in the room to have a quiet and also comforting silence despite the unnerving watching a severely important ‘family member’ continue her words from where she left them just starting her own explanation to her brand new family. As for the words she left them silent with, they were none other than ‘I knew of your Ancestor, late wife of Krayeke Crestfallen, Yun Beishang…’.
“...gulp…” Yun Beishang gulped down a bit, waiting for the exact words that Tiara Duna would say, hoping that he did not commit incest without knowing once again, while trying very hard not to glance at Ellie who was at his immediate left and giving him a dirty, lewd and knowing, caring smile - all so strange but usual of her, ah.
“...we met when I was aimlessly wandering around in space, killing any pervert, men and women, who tried to pick me up. Then, as Stela saw me, she brought me to her home like a lost puppy, forcing her husband to take me in, before she then…” Tiara Duna lowered her eyes by the end of her momentarily paused words…before lifting her face once more at Yun Beishang and smiling cheerily. “Well, with that…I guess we could be considered a family, since I became Stela’s Little Sister just a few days later. Heh, I even became this little girl’s nanny, you know?”
Pointing at Ellie, Tiara Duna made the former blush so badly in shyness that Yun Beishang thought that tonight was going to be a long night, ah…
…
Let It Rain's Note: Well, doing this while getting a bit sick made me take almost twice the amount needed to write, about 2.8 to 3 hours in total. Agggh, okay, soon we go back to poor ol' Yun Beishang being used as a meat lapdance practicing pole.
