The young girl looked like she was less than twenty years old, and with her simple clothes and the shoulder bag she was carrying, she was probably just one of Yu Huaibo’s students.

Yang Xiao wasn’t the type of girlfriend who would get jealous easily or jump to conclusions, so even though she saw an unfamiliar girl step out of Yu Huaibo’s passenger seat, she just took it as an innocent lift.

As Yang Xiao approached his car, she happened to hear some of their conversation.

“Thank you, Professor Yu,” the girl thanked.

See, it really was just a student getting a quick ride.

Yu Huaibo smiled gently at her. His eyes were like deep pools of water, it was as if they could drown you.

Yu Huaibo gazed at the small, naive girl and said, “You’re out of school and still calling me professor?”

The girl’s face turned red almost instantly when she heard him.

And standing in the shade, and witnessing the whole thing was Yang Xiao. The top of her head had basically turned green*.

Ten minutes later, Yang Xiao came around from the other side of the gate, pretending to be late, and got into Yu Huaibo’s car.

Yu Huaibo didn’t take off immediately but instead took out a minute to carefully examine his girlfriend.

His gaze on her was loving and soft. Being looked at with such eyes would make any girl think she was deeply loved by him, no matter who she was.

“You look different today,” he said.

Yang Xiao let him keep looking at her and asked him with a smile, “How do I look different?”

“You look even more beautiful than the last time we saw each other,” Yu Huaibo complimented her.

Yang Xiao nodded, “Of course I look beautiful, I just spent a thousand yuan for a facial yesterday and five hundred yuan for my eyelashes. It’s all money, how can I not look prettier?”

As he headed to the resort, the two spent the drive asking and answering each other’s questions. The atmosphere in the car was peaceful and harmonious.

Yang Xiao closed her eyes and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t be crying for long. My new false lashes are expensive, my eye cream is even more expensive, and dog men don’t deserve to make me cry for more than five minutes.”

Five minutes later, Yang Xiao wiped away her tears and dialed her best friend’s number.

“TangTang, I broke up with Yu Huaibo.” Yang Xiao said, “Help me hire a fake boyfriend so he can accompany me home to meet my parents tomorrow.”
