WHERE DO YA THINK YOU ARE RUNNING OFF TA? IF IM IN PAIN, IT IS ONLY RIGHT FOR YA TO BE RIGHT IN HERE WITH -”

A man, neither tall nor short in stature, with a rather heavyset build, with sandy hair and rectangular glasses walked out of the labor room, closing the airtight doors behind him as he did so, and gave a very heavy, very tired sigh, his shoulders slouching and his back slumping as he did so.

He walked to the nearest seat and collapsed bodily unto it. He placed his head in his arms, winced, and he removed his glasses with his right hand, rubbing his eyes with his left hand. He sat there for a few seconds, before standing up, determination rising in his steps as he walked with wife-sent purpose to the nearest vending machine to get some coffee and dark chocolate.

He bought three cups of steaming hot coffee, one of which was dark, another milk coffee, for when she would eventually snap out of her cravings, and some more milk coffee, for himself. He got one small bar of dark chocolate, one bar of light chocolate, and a small chocolate pudding.

She probably won’t take more than a small nibble of the dark chocolate The man sighed, placing two of the cups in his arms, along with the milk chocolate on the reception desk, and asked the person in charge to have it brought into the labor room two minutes after he went in.

He stepped in front of the doors leading to the doors, took a deep breath, and pushed them open. Inside, he found several single hospital beds, each separated by a green curtain, and fourth on the right, with a lot of comfort food in her hand, with a glare that promised death to all that dared come in the way between her and her cravings, lied his wife, naturally with hair so blonde it would seem white, with blood red eyes, that, at that moment, promised excruciating death to the him who did not bring her the snacks she so craved.

Usually, her eyes would be smiling with joy. Her temper did have somewhat of a short fuse, and she was used to things going her way. She would never let go once she decides that something belonged to her. He was one of those ‘something’s she wanted for herself.

It was the oddest day of Masaru Bakugou’s life when a random smokin’ hot woman, around his age, appeared in front of him after he was done with work, and demanded that he go out with her. She did not like his lack of an immediate ‘yes’, so she dragged him to the nearest bar, had ten shots for every two he did, and still managed to be more sober than him a few hours later.

This pattern repeated itself thrice before he gave in and told her his name, to which she just nodded and told him her first name. He sensed he would not be getting more than that so he decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and only called her by her first name, or by pet names going forward.

Masaru had been utterly bemused by her antics, and thus, it came as a surprise to absolutely no one that he had been hit in a blind spot when she proposed to him one moonlit night a few months after they officially began dating. It was also absolutely no surprise to anyone but Masaru himself that she had been two months pregnant at the time.

Back to the present, Masaru snapped out of the spell his wife’s eyes had put him under. He smiled at Mitsuki, wincing under the weight of her glare. He handed her the chocolate first.

Just as he expected, she took the first bite with ecstasy, like it was the greatest thing she had ever tasted. With each subsequent bite, her ecstasy dwindled, until she reached her seventh bite, with which her natural hate for bitter foods rose up and finally defeated her cravings.

On her eighth bite, she frowned, her face collapsed in on itself, such was her normal reaction to having dark chocolate.

Masaru giggled under his breath as he gently removed the chocolate from her hands and handed her the coffee she had wanted not even fifteen minutes before.

He enjoyed watching the look on her face as she realized it was black coffee, with not even a bit of artificial sweetening, bitter as a kid’s face when he thinks his quirk is not ‘cool’ or ‘awesome’.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and let Masaru bask in schadenfreude as he toyed with his wife. Eventually, he gently removed the cup from her hands as he motioned to the door, and like a magic trick, they opened, revealing a standing attendant walking in carrying two cups of milk coffee and one bar of normal chocolate.

Mitsuki smiled seeing the sight before her and took one of the cups of coffee. Just as she opened her mouth to praise her husband for his ever-present thoughtfulness, she felt a strong jolt in her stomach.

This was not unnoticed by Masaru, who immediately hit the red button next to her, which he had been sternly warned to never press unless she was ‘in pain’ or ‘felt a strong jolt’.

Of course, seeing that the baby had simply refused to be welcomed into the world, pushing back it’s welcome date by an entire week, and causing no small number of false alarms, Masaru did not really expect that this time would be the jackpot.

Much to his shock however, the nurse currently in charge of Mitsuki took one look at her, and immediately asked for the Delivery Room to be prepped, and called for the what-cha-ma-call-it doctor in charge of delivering kids.

Masaru was with Mitsuki all of the way as the team of nurses and singular doctor pushed the bed along the floor to their destination.

Masaru whispered sweet nothings into Mitsuki’s ear just as she did her absolute best in turning her husband from an individual capable of holding onto two objects at the same time to one who could only grasp onto one object at a time.

When they reached the double doors leading to the delivery room, they paused. Masaru was not allowed inside, but was unable to make his wife let his hand go.

In the end, he had to rely on one of the nurse’s quirks, [Grease] to pull his hand out of her stone crushing grip, at which point, her birthing pains had already begun. Just as she began whipping her arms around, another of the nurses utilized her quirk, [Imitation} and transformed her hand into a perfect replica of Masaru’s, and then lent it to Mitsuki, who immediately calmed down upon grasping the hand offered to her.

On the other hand, however, said owner of the other hand paled by at least four shades due to the pain subjected to her by Mitsuki’s pain driven inhuman grip strength. Even though the nurse probably had a lot of experience getting her hand crushed by pregnant women, Mitsuki’s grip strength probably was at a level that she had never felt before.

Once they entered the Delivery Room, Masaru was stranded outside the door. He waited outside, sitting on one of the seats provided for those in situations like his. But just as it began to sink in that he was having a second child, the doors to the Delivery Room opened, with the doctor walking out with a bundle of clothes in his arms.

Masaru, utterly gob smacked, reached out to the doctor, and ever so gently, picked up the bundle of clothes containing the second little innocent devil in his life, who seemed to take its time preparing for its entrance into the world, but when the baby decided to walk the walk, the baby did it with style.

The doctor, who also seemed to be in shock at the great ease with which he had delivered the baby, mentioned to Masaru that it was the fastest delivery he had ever been to.

Masaru asked the doctor if his wife was still awake, to which the doctor replied in the affirmative. At this, Masaru took the baby inside, to his wife, and as he gave it to her, he unfurled the outer coverings, revealing the head and hair of the baby, as well as freeing up the infant’s arms.

The very first action of the unconscious infant, whose gender was yet to be identified, was gently placed in her almost-unconscious arms, which allowed her to retain consciousness.

She held the little baby, who was confirmed to be a girl, and told her husband, ”She will bring with her joy and happiness where she will go. So, I will name her Akira.”

At this, her husband gently held her hand with one hand, and wiped tears from his eyes with the other, and sincerely told his wife, ”How you have grown, learning how to name our children poetically, without need of weeks and weeks and weeks of help from the net and from books.

Yes, I love the name! It will do awesome! I cannot possibly ever do-”

His 100% sincere praises that most definitely were not work of him being miffed that she came up with a better name than him were suddenly stopped, not in any small part to the finger suddenly poking deep into his guts.

Masaru took a step back and took a knee, admitting his defeat to Mitsuki.

Mitsuki took no notice of the behavior her ‘beloved husband’ was showing, and was instead engrossed in her new baby, who was deep asleep, but her sleep was anything but restful.

Little Akira kept swinging her little fists around, with her tiny fists holding a surprising amount of power for those who are unprepared.

Mitsuki took in the features of her second little devil, who was starkly different from her big brother. The least of the differences was that she was a much more restful baby in comparison to her big brother, who hardly ever slept, and was never restful, even in his sleep.

Akira resembled her husband far more than herself, Mitsuki noticed with no small measure of glee. She had hair that was a mix of Mitsuki’s and her husband’s. It was golden blonde hair, that shone so bright that it looked like it was spun of woven gold.

Mitsuki may have not seen her child’s eyes before, for Akira had fallen asleep as soon as she was born, but she was well aware that they were blue, the color of the morning sky on a cold day.

She gently rubbed her baby’s head, and kissed her on the head, handed her to Masaru, and drifted off to the blissful lands of dreams.

For once, she did not dream of her husband or of her embarrassing pasts, instead she dreamt of an odd little girl, born an orphan, grew up in an orphanage, and threw herself to the army to improve her life.

The dream dissolved from her memories even as she watched them, they had no place in her consciousness.

Far away, an old man grumbled silently as he fixed various issues that had popped up due to his impromptu decision, blaming it on his self-declared best friend all the way.

But to all that looked at him closely, he appeared to be smiling brightly, like an old man with a very entertaining new hobby.
