Rita still couldn't believe her eyes with what she was seeing. This was a sleek BMW 7-series that he had seen on the Internet countless times and she had always been dreaming of owning a luxury or a sports car but she never thought that she would get one before she completed her studies.
"Did you get yourself a Sugar Mommy?"
"Do I look like that kind of guy?"
"You have changed a lot in the Netherlands. Is the pay that good that you are able to pay off for this car."
"It's quite good. Do you want to drive it or not?"
"Of course I want to." Rita said as she jumped inside and switched on the engine. The car was quite smooth for her standards and thus it was easy for her to drive. He came all the way for shopping and that was what they did, driving straight to a huge shopping mall.
Robin hated the shopping part but he just let her have fun while he just accompanied her at times and gave his views when she asked for it. She spent the next 3 hours going from shops to shops and finally chose one that she would wear the next day. This reminded of his time with his mother and the endless search for a particular dress.
After the shopping spree ended, Robin craved for some fast food and thus just ordered a shawarma while she ordered a burger. Robin then spoke of his life there and places he had traveled. The people he met around.
Of course, he avoided speaking the whole truth and just spoke of his own life and not about Sigret and Myrene. When she was seeing him off at his apartment she said with a little emotional tone.
"Thanks. Thank you so much for this gift."
"You are welcome. When do I need to come tomorrow?"
"At 10 am sharp."
"Alright. See ya."
Tuesday, 14th February.
At 10 am sharp he drove to the Taj Vivanta, where the engagement ceremony was scheduled to take place. Both of the parties had pooled the money together for this and thus could afford this high end place. The last time he came here was for a meal, and now in a few months he was back but as a changed person.
He became incredibly wealthy, gained strength enough to kill a person with one punch, conquered a country and became a mass murderer. Life really did take a turn in a matter of almost half a year. When he entered the whole ballroom, he was greeted by beautiful decorations of flowers made over archways and at the end was a big sitting place where Rita was sitting with her friends and giggling.
Surrounding her were some of the relatives that Robin could recoginze and some who he didn't. Her fiance was at the other end of the ballroom and was talking with some people ordering some things. Robin walked to her and smiled.
"You are late."
"You called me at 10. It's 10.10 am now."
"You should have come earlier."
"I slept late. Had work." Robin lied. Rita didn't argue and just talked at random. For a girl who was going to get engaged to a person she looked quite calm. Rita had always been calm and she showed her love and care for people from her actions.
Robin didn't want to bother her with her friends and went to join the other cousins who had also arrived. He hadn't met them in years so it was better to just talk with them or else people would bad mouth later.
"Wow, you never told me your cousin is so handsome." One of the girl friends who had sat with her asked as she couldn't take her eyes off him.
"Yeah. Why didn't you introduce us?" Another friend also chimed in.
"I did introduce you once. Everyone here ignored him." Rita said as she seemed proud of her cousin. She did introduce her once but at that time he was not so charming. Now it was totally different.
"Really? I don't remember."
"Is he single? What does he do?
"Yup, he is single. He works in Europe."
"He is the one who gave you that car? Damn!"
"Yup. He is the one. Why? Interested in him? Aren't you married?"

"So what? Can't I flirt with others?"
"I am single so I am legally free... hahaha..."
The gossip went on after this as the girls had found another object of attraction for themselves. Rita was dumbfounded seeing how casually these girls spoke of cheating on their boyfriends and husbands. She felt a little uncomfortable but took notes of the women who could hit on her best friend/cousin.
She herself was hoping that her cousin could get himself a girlfriend after that toxic relationship but that didn't mean she would throw him into an abyss. She made up her mind to tell him to stay away from such women.
Robin didn't know that he had become a topic of gossip and was busy talking with cousins. All of his cousins were settled in good places. One was a doctor, one was an accountant while the other was a banker.
Robin had too many uncles and aunts from his father's side and thus a number of cousins. Like Rita, some of the cousins were surprised to see such a change in Robin but they attributed it to the fact that they hadn't seen him in years.
After an hour or so talking and eating snacks, the ceremony started. It was a pretty normal one where the two partners took rings and wore them on the fingers of each other. Robin was happy that his cousin was getting married soon.
The marriage was set after her final exams so they would have to wait for quite a bit of time. After the ceremony it was time for food and everyone dug in which included Robin himself. Buffets in India were always luxurious and delicious, so of course Robin wasn't going to miss it.
"Enjoying the food?" Came a text from Sigret.
"Will you stop watching me?" Robin texted back.
"I am your protector so of course I am watching over you."
"Just don't creep on me always."
"You are lucky that I don't read your texts and just watch over you through the cameras." Sigret replied. Robin just sighed and concentrated on his food. After Robin was done with the lunch, he spent some time with Rita and her fiance.
He was also excited for the car and he thanked him on behalf of his new fiance. He too was a car and bike enthusiast so was beyond thrilled about the car. After the small talk, he returned back home where his mother wanted to question him about the ceremony.
This was another torture for him but he still replied and also informed that he would return back to Europe the next day. His parents were a little sad about it but didn't stop their son.
"Next time when I come I will take you to Europe." Robin promised.
"No.. No.. It's fine. Since you are earning now, buy a home in Europe. Don't spend money on useless things like cars. I heard people use cycles there." Robin's father said.
"Don't worry Dad, I am saving money." Robin didn't say that their son already had a home big enough to house all the people in their extended families too. It was already evening when Robin had returned so he was busy packing his bags for the flight the next day before his mother served him dinner.
When he went to sleep, Robin checked his mobile and was a little surprised to see that 3 women had 'slid into his dms'. This surprised him. Rita did tell him of this but he never expected that a woman would be that forward. Especially a woman who had a good degree.
This was the first time that this happened but since his cousin had warned him about some women already in relationships, he avoided it. He didn't want to be someone who would break someone's relationships. And honestly, he didn't find them attractive. After months of living in high standards he knew exactly what kind of women he could attract and at this point he refused to go below his standards.
Wednesday, 15th February.
The return flight was at 12 pm so it was quite late for Robin. His parents just like last time were a little sad but they were happy too seeing how their son had grown up. They came to bid their bye just like last time at the airport. After saying 'goodbye' he went to the lounge where Cassandra and Emily were waiting for him.
"Welcome back sir."
"Hey.. Did you roam around the city?" Robin asked as he was sure that the captains and the airhostesses had proper visas and all facilities available to them.
"Yes Sir.. We had fun and for a day we went to Shi.. Shillong. That is a magical place." Emily replied as she stumbled a bit with the pronunciation.
"Ah yes. That place is beautiful. Haven't been there in years" Robin said.
"Are you from here, Sir?" Cassandra got curious and asked.
"Yup. Born in a small town but raised for a big part of my life here."
