Robin's mother didn't call her son back for explanation and just let him be. Who knows! Maybe he fell down on his head when he woke up! If Robin could have heard her thoughts he would have definitely complained.
The weather outside was particularly gloomy today as black clouds had formed over the city. It was a sign of rain, but there was no fucking rain!! Another typical behavior of the city as it is situated between two mountain ranges. The Himalayas on one side and the other side were the Khasi mountain ranges situated in the state of Meghalaya.
This weather was definitely one of those which would make people feel lazy, but Robin was pumped up more than ever. He opened his laptop and submitted his project that was supposed to be submitted later. He did that with a note saying might not be able to take on any new projects for the next few days.
Actually Robin wasn't sure if he would even work after today. If the JARVIS project failed he could always find other ways to make himself money with the power. This might be just his resignation. After sending an email that he would be taking a one week break he opened his game.
'The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim'
He had played this long ago and had already finished the game, but Robin wanted to start from the beginning itself. After going through the menu the game opened with its iconic scene on the horse cart, imprisoned and taken away for execution.
The story of Skyrim was set 200 years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in a region called Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. Its main story focuses on the player's character, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.
And the Dragonborn was the main character that a user would control and play as. Skyrim is famous for many reasons even after all these years. The open world, different decisions leading to different stories, choice of power over the whole story, etc.The character could choose any kind of specialization in its quest. One could be stealthy, or one could be just plain brute. It all depended on which skill one put their points.
All in all, this was a classic game.
Robin started it like a normal player. This was a big game so it would take many hours. After the initial tutorial he went on adventures and did random things. At first he brought out a soul gem to the real world when he found it in his random killings and lootings.
The soul gem was supposed to trap dead souls and use them later for necromancy purposes. This gem had no use to him. The real world might have souls but he would have to kill someone to get a soul of the dead or get near a recent dead person. This was too meaningless of a task to even try.
On his journey he got a random quest known as Forbidden Legends. Out of curiosity he completed the mission and as a reward he got the The Gauldur Amulet.
The Gauldur Amulet : Increases Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 30 points.
This introduction given in the description brought sudden excitement to Robin. He brought the Amulet to the real world. After placing the Amulet on the table, he saw the original size of the amulet and just had to roll his eyes. If he ever wore the amulet it would definitely reach his torso.
The amulet looked like the ones old people might have worn in ancient times. The amulet had a tall and thin tablet attached to it at the end and two canine teeth on both sides.
But just out of curiosity he tried putting the huge ass amulet around his neck. The instant he placed the amulet, he felt a sudden burst of adrenaline running across his body and also a feeling that his health had reached more than perfect.
Robin didn't have any chronic disease, or at least not that he knew of. But he definitely felt the sudden increase in health. After playing constantly on his laptop, his eyes were a little dry and even his shoulder was a little stiff. All of the negative feelings vanished away like a whoosh.
And not only that, he felt that he had more than enough power pumping through his veins that he could run around the apartments for at least 5 times. The only feeling that his brain wasn't able to register was the increase in magicka.

"I guess adding 30 to 0 is 0 according to the arithmetic of the amulet or I am just too dumb to have magicka in my body. But this amulet definitely works. Its a shame that this amulet is so big that even wearing it inside a shirt will just be a nuisance."
With all this he understood one thing. The magic of the things brought to the real world definitely worked. Though he expected it, seeing it in real life brought him more joy than ever. In the last 24 hours, he felt more joy and excitement than he had ever felt before.
Suppressing his excitement and keeping the amulet inside his cabinet, the previous feeling went away. The amulet didn’t provide him the permanent increase in health which was expected. He proceeded to do more quests and see if there were any items of interest. He didn't have to wait for a long time to get another burst of joy.
He came across a scroll. A one-time use scroll. A scroll that could perform magic without any help or conjuration!!
The first such scroll he came across was the Scroll of Candlelight!!
Scroll of Candlelight : Creates a hovering light that lasts for 60 seconds.
This gave him ideas already as he quickly brought it out. Without any hesitation he opened the seal that was on this old and rusty looking parchment of paper. The seal was a typical wax seal so he had to be careful not to destroy the scroll in that process. After carefully unsealing it, he opened the scroll and without any warning a small blob of light floated in front of him.
The light was dim at the beginning but it slowly started emitting light that easily illuminated the whole room. In the end it became so bright that Robin had to close his eyes. Gastly, who was floating nearby, took cover under the table. Gastly being a ghost Pokemon didn't have much love for light and this bloody trainer of his brought out a random light from paper. He was really contemplating right now if this trainer of his was his nemesis of some kind.
Robin, after getting accustomed to the light, started walking around the room and wherever he went, the small light followed him putting shades of different sizes around the room. The light lasted exactly for 1 minute before vanishing.
Gastly came out from under the table and looked at Robin with a little sad eyes. Robin instantly understood why Gastly was behaving this way and apologised. But internally he was beaming in happiness.
He went straight to the internet to see what scrolls could he get and he was really surprised to see a bunch of scrolls among them. Starting from restoration scrolls to conjuration and destructive scrolls.
There were various places and quests that one required to reach and perform in order to get the scrolls. After bringing out the Scroll of Candlelight, he did notice that the actual Scroll in the inventory had vanished.
So it would be a little tedious for Robin if he wanted to stack a particular scroll. He would have to save the game at a particular checkpoint and then finish getting the scroll and this process has to be repeated again and again. For example if he needed multiple Scrolls of Restoration, he would have to perform the same mission from the nearest checkpoint again and again.
But Robin didn't mind that. This small bit of hard work could be easily done in order to gain power and protection. Imagine having a Scroll of Fire Rune and opening the scroll while pointing it to his enemies. The enemy would just die in one shot. The Fire Rune spell was a little powerful spell as it sends blobs of fire and it could even stick to surfaces. A person's body would just get branded by the fire.
It was not known if the Fire Rune spell would kill a person in real world, but doing quite a bit of damage in real world was a guaranteed effect. And thus Robin's quest of finding scrolls began.
This was a long and arduous process. He made a list of spells that he needed for self protection and aimed at getting these scrolls. And in this way, few hours went by and in one such quest of searching scrolls he came across one of the highlights of the game.
A word of power!!
